''You just had to court death, didn't you?''
Hearing Wang's arrogant words, Bao De wanted to put the youngster in his place but he held back.
'His fight caused so much destruction when he was fighting them, if he fights someone stronger like me, the battle might cause lots of deaths.'
Currently, they were in Bao De's territory. Heavenly Gold Palace. Any destruction caused here would only hurt Bao De, Bao He and their Heavenly Golden Palace. Continuing the fight would be foolish, even if he was confident in his victory, he wasn't confident in winning fast enough to reduce casualties of his clansmen.
'Future of my Heavenly Gold Palace is already at great risk, if I get injured or more talented people from my Heavenly Gold Palace dies, then victory will mean nothing. If those things happen, what would a victory even mean? Our enemies created through centuries would take advantage of our moment of weakness to slaughter us.'
Bao De suppressed his anger and swallowed it down forcefully.
'I need to prevent any kind of fight in any way possible.'
He opened his mouth to pacify the situation after making a second long judgment inside his own mind.
But before even he could talk, his descendant and the current leader of their sect talked before him with great arrogance and anger in his raspy voice.
''Do you really think you can win with your deceitful abilities? Open your eyes, you shitty brat! This elder here is the supreme elder of our sect and he has been protecting us from the dangers for years. His strength is enough to slaughter you and your pathetic sister in a matter of seconds!'' he laughed madly as he mocked Wang.
''Why don't you run now? Go and save that ugly bitch! Maybe if you beg enough, the young prince of the Glorious Yang Empire would let her go after deflowering her!''
Bao De held himself back as one of his hands was about to reach to slap his descendant, and the other was about to slap his own face from disappointment and shock.
'This kid wasn't this stupid before, wh-' he sighed deeply, 'Forget it. It is not the time to think about such things.'
He turned his focus to their enemy, Wang. The famous, or rather infamous, Poison Dragon that randomly caused disasters wherever he went.
'That explains the disasters... His sister is too beautiful for her own good. Not the first time I have seen it happen, but it is the first time I see the elder brother alive after so many kidnappings and rescues. Normally, they don't get to live this long. He must have become an expert at this point.' he realized that the disasters caused by the Poison Dragon weren't actually random at all.
''Kid, we were at fault this time. Why don't you go after your sister now?'' he let his pride get out of his old body as his ferocious eyes were replaced with eyes that were filled with humility and regret.
'He looks conflicted. He wants to save his sister, but he can't let go of my little descendant after all the sins he has committed.' Bao De, the supreme elder smiled inwardly.
'I just need one more push and he will go after his sister. After that, we will have plenty of time to gather allies and kill him. After all, the infamous Poison Dragon has too many enemies. He managed to stay alive until now thanks to no one actually knowing who he is, but since we have already confirmed it, then-'
Suddenly, a realization struck.
'No one knows who he is because he kills everyone who learns it.'
His eyes widened in the shock of his realization.
'Shit!'
He cursed for the first time in centuries and activated his most powerful sensing technique.
'Heavenly Gold Sense!' he screamed in his mind to not give away any clues to Wang.
'Nothing?'
To his complete surprise, he couldn't sense anything.
'He has been standing there quietly and listening to us without doing anything. He neither moved nor talked. I thought he was preparing a powerful technique to kill us as we were talking. I thought he was stalling for time by listening to us while preparing a technique to kill us both and silence us so that we can't make any trouble for him. Just like all of his previous victims.'
Cold sweat poured down from his wrinkled forehead for the first time in centuries in both confusion and nervousness. He couldn't understand it. He thought that he realized Wang's plan, but it didn't seem to be like that?
'NO! My senses that were honed through thousands of years long life experience and hundreds of life and death battles can't be wrong!'
He quickly used his most powerful protection skill to shield both himself and his descendant.
''Perfect Golden Sphere!''
He shouted out this time as he couldn't care about the secrecy at this point.
A shining golden drop of blood came out of the top of his head and stopped a few meters above him and his descendant.

Under a second, that bright golden blood drop expanded outside and formed a golden sphere that swallowed both him and his descendant almost instantly.
As the sphere closed, he could only see Wang's expressionless face frown.
Just as the golden sphere closed down, an explosion happened below the golden sphere.
A jet stream of purple liquid came from below them and struck the sphere.
The jet stream of purple liquid that could normally cut through the hardest metals in a matter of milliseconds met some resistance but in the end, after a small moment, it cut through it.
The jet stream went through the body of Bao He, the leader of the sect, and sliced him into two instantly.
Two sliced parts stayed together for a second as they were cut into half perfectly in a matter of milliseconds, but just a second after that, the middle of the body started rotting away.
Rotted parts became uneven and both parts soon couldn't stay together anymore.
Bao He, or more correctly, two half Bao He's fell down together one after another.
Bao De, the supreme leader's hands shook in both anger, frustration, and fear.
He couldn't even register what just happened.
''W-w-w-wha-what?'' he stuttered out slowly in shock as the situation slowly settled in.
''Hey old man!'' an amused, almost giddy voice entered his ears.
''How would you see through my technique?''
Wang's interested and curious eyes entered his perspective as they met his own eyes.
''Nobody saw through it yet. I worked really, really really hard on that move you know. Do you know how hard is it to create a technique that can hide all the spiritual energy from such a strong technique?''
Wang's relaxed and almost victorious steps slowly carried him to the Bao De, the supreme elder of the Heavenly Gold Palace.
'M-monster...' Bao De could only think, but he couldn't move. He had a mouth, yet he couldn't scream. His thousands of years old senses were screaming at him in terror, while his thousands of years old common sense was trying to calm him down.
How could someone at that age be this powerful, this terrifying?
What did he go through to become like this?
Was it the constant state of fighting he had to go through because of his sister and the culture of the world they lived in?
Was it just innate talent?
He couldn't imagine it.
It just didn't make any sense.
'Please, Glorious Yang Empire. Please get rid of this monster.' he unconsciously begged in his thoughts.
'Maybe, just maybe, they can.'
Glorious Yang Empire was the strongest faction of the whole continent by a big margin.
They had several peak-level Dao stage cultivators, thousands of years of lineage, and legendary artifacts that could let them fight at the level of beginner-level Emperor stage beings.
'I can only hope.' was his last thought.
