While Malcolm, Isaac, and the rest of the elderly men were on their hunting trip. Citizens of Brightstar continued their daily routine.
The younger generation enjoyed their time off school. Their parents went to work, and elderly folks enjoyed their hobbies.
The Layer of Feasting were even busier on the weekends, the scent of food being even thicker than on previous days.
The Layer of Tourism was bustling with Tourists from every nook and crook of Winterland.
However, the Layer of Nobility was relatively quiet. Most of the younger generation had hidden themselves inside their rooms with VR Helmets on their heads.
The same scene could be seen in other Layers.
It didn't matter what age one was. Every household had at least one with VR Helmet on.
The ones who were working were impatiently waiting for their days to end, so they could return home and visit the World of White once again.
Many even considered quitting.
While many things were happening, one building was the same as always.
In Whitelock Mansion.
Inside the kitchen, Madison finished cleaning the tables that got slightly dirty after her cooking session.
She put all the washed plates on the dish rack and set the chairs below the kitchen desk.
After she finished, the kitchen tables were literally shining, reflecting her attractive face.
She toucher the corner of her eyes, and managed to feel a sensation of wrinkle.
''Sigh…'' A long and frustration-filled sigh left her mouth. She moved the strands of her hair out of the way and threw the towel to the hanger.
Once she finished washing her hands, a loud ding dong echoed throughout the enormous mansion.
*Ding Dong*
''Hmm, are they already here?'' She left the kitchen with quick steps and soon arrived in front of the door.
She swiftly opened the door and saw four figures standing outside clothed in winter clothing.
''Luna, Marshall, Mariah, and Sin.'' Madison stepped to the side and allowed a family of four to enter her house.
Luna entered the mansion and was fascinated by everything she saw.
They took off their outdoor clothes and walked deeper inside the mansion with only their shirts, pants, and shoes.
''Thanks for allowing us to visit,'' Marshall said while walking side-by-side with Madison.
''Ah, no worries.'' Madison glanced at Luna, ''It was my pleasure.''
Marshall nodded and whispered, ''I have another matter to discuss.''
''Alright.'' Madison nodded. Her ponytail swaying side to side, and her face being curious about the matter.
She managed to see Marshall's serious look, and thought it must be something very important.
Mariah and Sin looked around the mansion with equally amazed gazes.
Luna, however, went past the front lounge and arrived in the living room.
The living room was as beautiful as she expected. Her black hair fluttered behind her as she quickly made her way over to the window, with a desk in front and several framed pictures on top.
She stopped in front of the desk and leaned to take a closer look at the framed pictures.
She saw a man and woman with a nerdy-looking boy in the picture.
''It must be them and their son.'' She mumbled and looked at other pictures. However, it was one of the last pictures of their son. Before, it was only about two of them.
''Sad, isn't it?'' Madison walked from the front lounge and stopped next to her.
''Ah… It is.'' Luna said with a not-so-cheerful look.
Madison wryly smiled and sighed, ''He is… Doing great, and I am very proud of him.
Luna looked at her, and her cheerful smile returned, ''That's nice!''
Marshall glanced upstairs and casually asked, ''Where are Malcolm and your grandson?''
Mariah and Sin looked toward Madison and remembered that there were supposed to be two other figures with them.
Luna looked at her and saw Madison's wry smile.
''Well…'' She scratched her hair and gave a strained chuckle, ''Haha… They went hunting.''
Mariah and Sin looked surprised.
''Pfft.'' Marshall couldn't hold in his laughter, ''Hahahaha, so Malcolm managed to drag him with him?''
Madison shook her head, ''Apparently, he wanted to, but… I still have my concerns.''
''Oh?'' Marshall raised an eyebrow, ''Then he would definitely be different from Maxwell.''
''Luna.'' Madison gently patted the beautiful young woman's head and said gently, ''You can go sightseeing while we are talking about some mundane things.''
''Ok!'' Luna agreed without hesitation and hopped toward the stairs.
Marshall, Madison, Mariah, and Sin went to the kitchen to start their talk.
Luna reached the second floor and stopped in the middle of the corridor. However, she didn't see anything interesting there.
''Third floor!'' She pointed toward the stairs and took her first steps on the second floor's stairs.
Shortly afterward, she reached the third floor and the same sight reached her eyes, she didn't see anything interesting, except paintings and vases.
However, she noticed a door with a nametag. Her brows rose in surprise and the door almost pulled her toward.
[Isaac]
''Oh.'' Luna stopped in front of the door and looked at the name with a longing gaze.
''Isaac…'' She murmured and, without thinking twice, opened the door.
Luna took a step inside and entered the large room.
''Wow… It's big!'' She exclaimed, and her own room appeared in her memory. A room that was way too large for one person.
''Hmm…'' She looked around with curiosity filling her insides.
''Oh.'' Soon, Luna noticed a bookshelf. She went straight to the bookshelf with hundreds of books.
''Wow, does this Isaac like books?'' She remembered most of the books and saw limited edition copies that should be impossible to buy.
''Wow.'' Luna exclaimed, ''He must be very spoiled, well… So am I.'' She giggled and left the bookshelf.
When she didn't expect to see anything interesting anymore, she noticed a slightly ajar wardrobe, allowing her to see a slight glimpse inside.
''Oh?'' Out of curiosity, she opened the door and saw a black box peeking through a layer of clothes.
''What is this?'' She moved the clothes out of the way and touched the smooth box.
''I am being quite rude…'' Luna stopped touching it and closed the wardrobe door, ''Stupid Luna, touching others' property is bad!''
She took a step outside the room and took another glance at the room, ''I wonder, is he as lonely as I am?''
Luna used the light switch to turn off the light and closed the door.
