Isaac entered the classroom and walked all the way to his seat, which is located on the last desk in the first row.
He kept his head low during his walk and sat down in silence.
He turned his body halfway and opened his backpack. He grabbed a blue notebook and put it gently down to the desk.
The classroom was half full, with most of the students hanging out with their friends.
Few took glances at Isaac and was surprised to see him in the classroom so soon. There was still about 10 minutes before the start of the class starts, and usually, Isaac would be hanging out with his friends.
Isaac grabbed a pencil and started writing on the notebook. His movements seemed fluid and precise; it was like the pencil was another limb of his body.
After he was done writing the first page, he glanced at the clock and saw 5 minutes remaining. He stood up, and under surprised gazes of everyone, he walked towards the first row.
At the first desk, a young girl with long bangs covering most of her face was sitting. She was innocently reading a book in loneliness.
''Hey, Julia.'' Isaac appeared next to the desk and opened his mouth.
''Eh?'' Julia turned her head towards Isaac, and soon her eyes behind the bangs widened in shock.
'W-W-Why is he talking to me?!' She anxiously looked around the room and saw everyone's shocked looks, but she was looking if any of Isaac's fangirls saw the scene.
Isaac smiled and asked a question, ''You were here during the break, right?''
Julia shakily nodded, ''I-I haven't gone anywhere.''
Isaac nodded and looked towards Amanda's desk, which is only three seats away.
''During the break... Did you hear Amanda or Oliver talk about anything?'' He asked and sat down on the nearby seat and pulled it closer to Julia's seat.
Julia blushed after seeing him basically sitting right next to her, which looked very intimate.
Few of their classmates took their phones and took pictures with faces of disbelief.
Julia is pretty much an outcast of the class and has barely any friends. Now she is talking with the most popular person in the school's history.
''I-I did hear Amanda's friends screaming quite loudly.'' Julia said and then remembered a phone in Amanda's hand, ''Apparently she texted someone, which caused her friends to scream in excitement.''
Isaac frowned and rubbed his forehead, ''What about Oliver?''
Julia swiped the bangs out of the way, which made her surprisingly adorable face visible until the bangs once again covered her face.
''I only saw him storming out of the classroom.'' She said, but then her face became pale as she saw the students entering the classroom.
Amanda and her friends entered the classroom amidst laughter, but that laughter soon stopped after seeing Isaac sitting with Julia.
Julia hid her face while Isaac was about to ask more questions, but then he felt a hand touching his shoulder.
He turned his head, and his face became pale.
Amanda's soft-looking hand was touching his shoulder. She flinched after seeing Isaac's pale-looking face.
'W-Why is he looking at me like that?' She thought with a panicked expression.
''I-Isaac.'' Amanda said with a shaky voice and pulled her hand back, ''Is everything alright?''
Isaac stood up and walked past them without letting a sound.
Amanda sat down on her seat with a pale face, like a sky was crashing onto her.
'D-Does he feel disgusted t-that I invited him for Temple of Confessions... H-He doesn't like me.' She lowered her face and clutched her painful chest, and felt her heart being crushed by an invisible hand.
*Ring*
The school bell rang, and the classroom started filling up quickly.
Isaac sat down on his seat and looked towards the entrance of the class. Soon, he saw Oliver walking inside with three of his friends.
All of them glanced towards Isaac, and he saw the cold look reflecting in their eyes.
Especially in the eyes of Oliver. The coldness he felt could freeze anyone to death.
Oliver didn't even hide the lingering hate on his face, he kept glaring like his life depended on it, and it only stopped once he arrived at his desk.
Isaac clenched his fist and turned his gaze back to the notebook in front of him. The second class was English, which luckily has a timid teacher who doesn't dare to speak rudely towards Isaac.
One of the reasons is his high status, and the second one is the death glares he receives for talking to Isaac, which makes him have nightmares.
Isaac kept writing in his notebook for the whole duration of the class, and a few minutes before the class ended, five of the pages were already filled with words and drawn images.
He was writing every possible reason that could cause Oliver's anger towards him, and all the signs are pointing towards jealousy and Amanda.
He never took notice of it before, which was foolish of him, but now he was more than certain that Oliver was in love with Amanda.
'Did she manipulate Oliver to do her biddings... Or, what could be the reason.' Isaac closed his eyes and rubbed his forehead. The memories of his time with Amanda replayed in his memory.
The times when they studied together in her house and the teasing looks Amanda received from her parents. He also remembered her blushing face every time he was next to her.
'Temple of Confessions... Oliver sitting right next to her... No way...' His grey eyes widened in shock, and he turned his head towards Amanda, whose body was trembling slightly, and her shoulders were slumped down like she was on a threshold of becoming depressed.
Isaac sighed and covered his face, 'I see... Oliver did that because he was in love with her and she was in love with me... But... The question remains, who were the other men with ski masks, and why did they attack me... They all couldn't possibly have a crush on Amanda; something is wrong...'
He took a glance at Amanda and sighed. He had a massive crush on her when he was still in school, but his feelings are long gone.
The biggest reason was the rage he felt, but after thinking about Amanda with so much hate for so long.
He could only remember her flaws and not the good parts.
'I need to apologize for her... Maybe we can still be friends... I hope.' He covered his face in pain and felt the rage inside him ignite one more time.
