Chapter 8: Chapter 8 : Soggy the Drowned Man, Highschool

As their conversations coming to an end, The lights in Neils bedroom flickered before the whole roon went dark. "What happened?" Neils was stumbling in the dark trying to find the lightswitch to his bedrooms light. Eventually he found a surface and traces around it to find the lightswitch. Then, he realised that the surface was mushy and wet. As he was wondering what did he touched, Charlie found the lightswitch and turned it on. Neils couldn't believe his eyes, the was touching someone. That someone however, is a drowned corpse. Neils was about to scream when the corpse extended its hand to prevent Neils from shouting. It spoke softly to Neils and Charlie "Aye don't worry kiddo, I'm no mean ghost. Call me soggy". Neils didn't know how to react, while Charlie was all giddy and excited.

Soggy explained how he just awoken a few hours ago. "I don't know much about myself, Its all blurry to me. But I do remember being underwater" Charlie then intercepted "Then are you a vengeful spirit? Are you here to curse the one who drowned you? Will you curse u-Umgh!" Charlie was barraging soggy with questions when Neils covered his blabbering mouth. He didn't think it is appropriate to ask about his death, he heard that spirits are rather sensitive with their death. Thankfully, soggy doesn't mind it. He went into detail on things that he remembered. "But why are you telling us these?" Asked Neils " Maybe he wants us to find his killer" Charlie suggest. Soggy said he just felt like it. Neils and Charlie looked at eachother and asked themselves 

"What now? "

A day has passed since they met Soggy and Neils had done settling in. His mother had enrolled him in a school here, Its known as Willowfort High. Coincidentally Charlie is enrolling there too. These two are aquainted but nothing more, Neils is still creeped ou by Charlie. He kept telling him about ghost and supernaturals, most of the information given is rather unnerving. Soggy on the other hand, wanders around Neils house, reminiscing about some of the old items and furnitures left.

  "I remember this couch! I used to sit here and watch the weather news on that old tv and my son would nag me about to just looking out the window to check for the weather" Laughed Soggy.

He had remembered Fragments of his old life and Neils discovered that Soggy has a son who is still in town. Neils asked Him if he knows where his son is but unfotunately, soggy Couldn't remember.

Neils decided to find out about his new school. He went on and searched 'Willowfort High' on Moogle and found nothing. Apparently this town is so isolated that people didn't know anything about it except that it exist and is weird. He then asked his mother the location of the school, Neils wanted to see it with his own eyes later.

Charlie on the other hand, is testing his charms on Soggy. "Legit, Fake, Fake, Fake" He mumbles as he realise most of his ghost charms was fake, but a few of them were the real deal. Charlie tucked the working charms in his bag and went on experimenting with Soggy following behind him. Meanwhile Mrs. Mendigo is wondering why the wall are soaking wet.
