Chapter 32: Volume 3 – Chapter 1 – Part 2 – A promise and the start of events*

I was sparring with Rossweisse and Latia, these two have had interesting development so far. But today marks the end of our first out of three visits here. Rose took my advice and trained hard, her Norse magic, elemental and defensive magic became a lot stronger.

"Get ready! You're next Latia!"

The two nodded and got in a defensive stance.

"Grega."

I point my right hand's index finger and a small dark red flame appeared, I launched it towards Rossweisse.

"Eh?"

She looked quite confused and let her guard down a little.

"It may look small and weak, but don't underestimate it, Rose. Use your defenses full capabilities!"

I warned her and her eyes became sharp, I felt the rise in her power and she created a multi-layered circle shield.

Crash!!! Gshhhhh!!!!

"Ugh!!"

Rossweisse struggled to stay in place as the small dark red flame started to push her back, and her arms started to lurch, the same with her knees. She started to sweat and looked like she was going to pass out.

"A little bit more, Rose!"

She gained her second wind and put out even more power into her shields. Latia stared in awe as she saw the Valkyrie give it her all.

My attack finally disappeared as Rose's shield broke, she sighed in relief and slowly fell to the ground. I quickly flash-step to catch her.

"Well done, Rose. You did great."

She had a satisfied expression on her face as she fell asleep. Rossweisse had gone up from High Class all the way up to the peak of Satan Class, she had to juggle that with mastering the things she set out to do.

I believe everyone here will reach God class before the third year we come back.

"One moment, Latia."

She nods and I flash step to the bench that Valerie was sitting at. She had trained a little, mostly using her own powers, but she didn't participate in killing anything. So, her mana pool increased, as well as mastered the small bits of attacks she knew.

"Hey there, Valerie, gonna put Rose down here for a sec."

"Mmm, she did great."

Valerie stroked the sleeping Valkyrie's hair and smiled. She became a big sister in a way, Gasper had some suspicions over the year but simply shrugged them off. He wanted to get stronger first and foremost so didn't bother with finding out who she was.

The guy has gotten stronger in his own way, physically? For some strange reason…his body didn't change, but his overall physical power did. He looks like a stick, but can probably hit as hard as 'canon' Sairaorg, that's how much she improved.

Valerie waved me off and I got back to Latia.

"Sorry for the wait, so shall we?"

She nods, Latia and I had gotten closer I also took the liberty of teaching her…new magic. While she's smart and has a knack for technology—she tried to re-create her uncles [Kankara Formula] but wasn't successful, she had a small stump, so I had to help her out.

So, I taught her—well gave her information and a new way of using magic…'Spatial magic' as well as showed her spatial magic techniques from other…shows. So, she trained in 'Territory magic' from Fairy tail, as well as recreating techniques from Law from One piece.

"Room…."

Latia conjuring a blue-transparent, spherical forcefield of sorts that is centered around us. She then summoned ice-shaped objects around us, she knows she can't transport me around, but she can do it with her own objects she made.

"Shambles!"

Latia swapped places with one of the ice figures, she covered her hands in [Territory: Nihility] another form of spatial magic, sending a punch towards me.

I block her punch, Latia frowned, created a…hole behind her, and jumped into it. I see, she's doing that too…it looked like a mix of [Fallen Angel Gate] from black clover and the Territory magic of Fairy tail.

Multiple spatial circles appeared in the 'Room' she created.

Sschhhh!!! Block!!

She came out from one of them and send out another Nihility punch at me, she repeats this a few times, finally jumping out and sending out a normal punch.

Latia disappeared and reappeared behind me and followed up again with her [Territory: Nihility]

She jumps back into the spatial circle, the ice statues around us started to float and fly towards me…they were covered in spatial magic…

Once they got closer to me, they all exploded. With My [True Infinity] I was fine, if this was anyone else, then would have suffered quite a bit of damage. She really is creative, that's going to be her biggest advantage.  She had used [Territory: Explosion]

She can cover her opponents or objects with it and have them explode, quite a fearsome thing to do…with her ability to create and swap people around with 'Shambles' it's a deadly combo. Latia had reached Ultimate Class after all.

If I could give her some sort of tool or equipment that would help her even further…maybe a sword so she can follow up more with Law's abilities? Doesn't seem like a bad idea…

"Haah….haah…."

She had come out of the spatial circles, the 'room' and the circles disappeared, she's quite exhausted. I walk over to her and heal her up.

"Good job, Latia. Your creativity with your new magic and new demonic pool really makes you a fearsome fighter, add your intellect…I'll make something for you in the future to make things easier."

She smiles at me and nods.

"Thank you…Jin…but yes, it was quite exhausting. Let me rest a bit…"

I picked her up and brought her back to the bench, everyone else was still training, we have a few hours left so they wanted to take advantage of it.

I mean, we'll be back again…sheesh…

I had grown closer to everyone, including Latia, I'm 99% sure she started to have a small crush on me, with the number of glances the girls gave me while giggling to themselves when Latia was around or when we spoke…it doesn't take a genius to figure that out.

Everyone wanted to take a week off from going back to the pocket dimension, I don't blame them, training at the end of the day is boring, yes you can get stronger…but it's still boring.

[Everyone, that thing is a powerful Dragon, Acnologia, the Black Dragon and a self-proclaimed Dragon King, it's scaled its power rank to Reni so it's in God Class. Work together to beat it.]

"Dragon King? I shall assume it's different to the ones in our world, yes?"

"Yep, how powerful is he if I compare him to the beings of this world? Hmm…probably on par with the current Dragon Kings, maybe below them if not in their ranks? I'll be honest, if he was, would he be at the top? Probably not."

He's strong in his world…but the Draconic Deus is something else entirely…even the Dragon Gods of Fairy tail are just self-proclaimed…

Kuroka screamed as she looked at the black dragon in front of her. She turns to Ingvild and starts pointing at the thing.

"In!! Sacred Gear use your [Nereid Kyrie]!!! It should work on it, right nya?!"

"I'm not sure, but it's worth a shot…Jin said it was the same power as Reni…"

Everyone else appeared by the two, Valerie was sent away, as unfortunate as it may sound, she was still Middle Class, everyone entered the pocket dimension just today after all, and asking someone in that power rank to take on a God Class being is a bit…reckless, no, stupid.

"Everyone else here should be able to hold their own, everyone let's work together to take this down!"

Grayfia had taken command as everyone look towards her.

"Asia, Gasper, you two will act as our main supports, Asia, can you enchant all of us?"

Everyone looked towards the nun of the Gremory group. She nods, she had a bit of a confidence boost after her quality time with Jin, and other times as well.

"I can enchant everyone here at least fifty times over, after that…only half of you."

Asia had reached Satan Class, along with her peerage, Akeno being the odd one out as she reached God Class. She during the first year of the pocket dimension had been trying to achieve a [Balance Break] with her Scared Gear but had no luck…but lately even before coming here…she had a bit of luck with it.

Nothing too concrete yet, but she was on the right path…she just needed…

"Very well, Yuuto, Rossweisse and Yasaka shall be the front liners, Wizard-types shall also be behind the frontliners but in front of the supports. Everyone else will provide them support, be it offensive or defensive."

"Kuroka, and anyone else that have some sort of supporting capabilities, try to utilize that before anything else, only in a pinch you are to provide offensive support, yes?"

"Ingvild, your Scared Gear will be our deciding factor, use it as best as you can. We will need you to put your all into that Dragon."

"Yes, Grayfia-san!"

Everyone nodded and got into their positions.

"I will take charge, Rossweisse-san, Yasaka-sama, please back me up."

Yuuto announced his intentions, the two nod, Asia was at the back with Gasper as she enchanted everyone, she increased their power, speed, durability and gave them some passive healing, while it may not be as powerful as her [Twilight Healing] is should serve its purpose of healing small wounds.

Gasper had activated his Sacred Gear, locking the Dragon in place.

It roared in frustration, however, it was still quite more powerful than Gasper, as it slowly broke free but before it could—

Akeno Himejima had struck the Black Dragon with her Holy Lightning, a large amount of it. Making the dragon be temporarily paralyzed. Kiba took this chance to charge it, summoning his Destruction sword, he swung it down on the Dragon.

But it didn't pierce its scales.

"Tch."

Kiba clicked his tongue, he swung his sword again and again, making light dents on the scales of the dragon. He couldn't produce his [Balance Break] yet, nor Holy Draconic swords.

"Haaah!"

Rossweisse and Yasaka both shouted, Rossweisse summoned multiple magic circles behind her, Yasaka summoned many orbs of fox fire. The both of them launched their attacks at the dragon.

"Burn…"

Suzaku muttered as she summoned a large, fire bird and let it go towards the dragon.

"Sylph it's now or never!"

"Yaaay! We're doing that, huh!"

"Yeah! Let's go!"

Only a few of the girls knew what Natsume and Sylph were talking about. She had been training relentlessly to be able to achieve this…

A giant amount of mana bursts forth from Natsume and Sylph, the mana turned green…the properties of wind were going wild around them.

When combined with Sylph, Natsume Minagawa's left arm is cloaked with green mana, a green circle of connected crosses appears around her wrist, a green wing appears from the left side of his back and a green half-crown of connected crosses appears on the left side of her head.

The ones that didn't know looked at Natsume in shock, the girl had a wide smile on her face. She concentrates a large amount of mana in the palm of her hands…and then released it in a dense beam of swirling wind magic!

"Wind Spirit Magic: Spirit Storm!"

The attacked merged with Suzaku's bird, turning it a mix of wind and fire magic, a raging fire storm!

"They both combined?!"

Rias was shocked as she seen the attack quickly approaching the dragon. All the attacks from Rossweisse, Yasaka, Suzaku and Natsume's hit the dragon! Kiba had to quickly dodge to get out of the way of that destruction combo!

The area around there reverberated violently. It took a few seconds for it to calm down and stop shaking.

"Did we get it…?"

Gasper asked, but Jin's voice resounded throughout the area making them tense up.

The dragon floated there, looking menacingly at them. It was pissed, it had taken some damage so that's why it was even angrier at them.

Rooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooaaaaaaaaaaaaaaarrrrrrrr!!!!!!!

The Dragon quickly charged up a breath attack….and released it.

"Dodge!"

Grayfia shouted, as everyone scattered to dodge it. Luckily for them they were quite nimble and fast so they easily dodged its attack…but.

Its attack had hit an unoccupied part of the pocket dimension and completely destroyed it.

The group stared at the destroyed area in stunned silence.

"Hmmm, at least this version of it isn't weak…"

Irene had looked up and seen the destruction the dragon caused and had a small smile, it seemed she was happy with what it did…

"I don't get you…"

Jin shook his head—still drawing a blank on how Irene's brain worked.

"Ufufufu, it will take more than a year's time with me, Skyward-san."

Back with the everyone else.

The dragon broke free and went after random people.

It targeted Latia as it chased her down. It was gaining on her when…

Gasper stopped it again! Latia turned around and covered the entire dragon in Territory magic.

The magic power from the dragon was being rapidly drained! It was slowly getting weaker!

"Get it! It's being drained by Latia!"

Rias shouted as she had already been charging up a POD Kamehameha. The same with Akeno, dark clouds had appeared above them, she was preparing Kirin, but she also had transformed into her [Fallen Angel Mode] and proudly displaying all 12 jet-black wings.

"One more time, let's make it bigger this time, Sylph!"

"Yeah!~"

Natsume and Sylph started to charge up an even bigger spirit storm, Gabriel also spread her wings, she had watched everyone else fight the dragon and wanted to support them.

Gabriel crosses his arms in front of her as she waits for the other girls attack to be released, she wanted to time it right. Yes, she was going to do the attack 'Yasakani no Magatama' but on much larger and stronger scale.

"Yasaka-sama, one more time."

Yasaka nods at Rossweisse's request, the combined attack earlier did do damage, even if it was little, there was damage.

'Dragon slaying magic…can Jin teach me…? I'll ask him after this…'

Rossweisse felt a little frustrated, even though she had learnt many types of magics, her Norse was what she felt was the most powerful barely made a dent on the dragon.

'If I can combine them in the future…'

Reni and Grayfia stepped forward, Reni had summoned three Ice dolls making the same stance as she and Grayfia were making. While Gasper had the dragon immobilized, Latia draining it, Grayfia also added her own time stop on the dragon, making it even harder for it to move.

Ingvild puts her hands out and used her [Nereid Kyrie], she had become Middle Tier God Class like Reni, but was a rank below, while Reni was SSS, she was just triple A, but her Sacred Gear should still affect the dragon.

Roooooaaaarrr….

The dragon let out another small roar, it got weaker. On top of two people stopping, it with time affecting abilities, Latia's magic draining and now Ingvild's sacred gear? It had significantly weakened.

[Oh? It seems to have gone down a rank, It's Low God Class, nice work In.]

Ingvild gaining a bit of confidence after Jin voice resounded through the area, she only used her left arm to keep her Sacred gear on the dragon, she used her other arm to control the lakes, puddles and other sources of water around them.

"Combine the water with Kirin, it'll be a shocker~"

Akeno's joke got a few chuckles and groans from everyone, as she kept on charging her attack. Everyone else charged up their attacks, is this the final attack? The attack to take down the dragon? The Dragon King?

"Haah!"

Kiba had charged forward, he felt the most useless out of everyone right now, his swords weren't sharp enough to cut the scales of the dragon, he only had his demonic swords, he couldn't conjure up dragon slaying swords, yet.

He hadn't achieved [Balance Break], he only had his speed, swordsmanship and [Sword Birth], he had to put everything into this attack.

Sllllaaaasssshhhhh!!!! Piiiieeeerrrccceeee!!!!

'I cut a bit through it! Was it because of its power going down?!'

"Yuuto, out of the way!"

Kiba heard Rias's voice and immediately flew away, he didn't want to get caught up in this.

"Now!"

With Rias's shout everyone launched their attacks. A torrent of attacks ranging in many elements and energies shot towards the Dragon King. It couldn't move so it could only wait for its demise.

Finally, Ingvild, shaping her huge amounts of water she gathered, she fused them all to be of a giant spear, making crash down onto the Dragon King Acnologia.

Boooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooommmmmm!!!!!!!!!!!

Jin whistled in admiration; those were quite powerful attacks they just launched at the dragon.

"It's definitely dead after that…"

Irene nodded while also looking at the sight, many forms of magic, techniques and attacks were used in this fight. She was impressed too, especially Yasaka, she had managed to use her [Fox Dragon Mode] like her daughter Kunou.

"I do not feel its signature anymore."

"Yeah, they killed it."

When the smoke and dust from their combined attacks had settled, they see that the dragon had a huge hole through it, and was lying on the ground not moving. It was a total victory for everyone.

"We did it!"

Gasper cheered as he slowly fell down, Kiba quickly caught him and chuckled at his junior.

"We did, nice job, Gasper-kun."

"Thank you very much, but it was a combined effort."

While Kiba suspected it, his little dent he made may have had a factor in the final attack, being able to chip away a scale, exposing a weak point and attacks hitting it? It would surely hurt.

"Well done, everyone. It sems our combined might defeated our foe."

Quite a lot of them cheered after seeing what they had done.

It's not enough…if they struggled against a Low tier God class…and if what Avezza said was true about her Divine Beasts, being True Satan Class and God Class, they all need to get even stronger in this and the next session.

[So, everyone needs to be at least Satan Class and up?]

I look to my side and see Irene had gone back to reading…she also needs to get stronger…as well as Ophis, I'll try to entice Ophis since she'll be a bit easier to deal with. Irene on the other hand…I'll think of something.

It was currently after dinner, everyone wanted to celebrate after their major kill today, I don't blame them it did take the combined efforts of everyone, so I cooked dinner and made it a feast to remember.

Afterwards, Yasaka and Rossweisse suggested to drink some alcohol! It was a special occasion so Grayfia gave the okay for even the underaged to drink…and now we're in this mess.

Kiba and Gasper were passed out, their drinking tolerance was abysmally low, not as bad as Rose's since she gets drunk after one drink or sip of alcohol. Kiba was spread out on a sofa while Gasper was curled on his stomach, almost like a cat.

Everyone else was still awake…well in varying degrees, a few were swaying from side to side, a few were a little bit more energetic and braver.

Rose had drunkenly hugged me, a bottle of alcohol still in her hands. I had drunk a lot, but since I can't physically get drunk…I'm the sober person here.

When I say everyone is drunk…I mean everyone. With the exception of Kunou and Valerie the two of them watching everyone with a concerned expression…Kunou watched her friend Ophis, with even more concern.

Akeno and Rias were sparring, Akeno was in her [Fallen Angel mode] while Rias had developed her own 'form' she had heavily based it on my own Scale mail from my [Boosted Gear], it was crimson in color, almost like Issei's [True Queen], his [Cardinal Crimson Promotion], without the helmet, wings or jewels.

Rias covered her whole body with her [Power of Destruction] while shaping it into a sort of 'armor-shape' since I was the closest to her and had showed her numerous times my scale mail over the months, she adopted it.

She had to practice shaping her POD into more complex structures and ways before she could pull this off. With the help of Reni, Grayfia, Ophis and Irene she mastered her shaping in around 4 months, which is pretty incredible. After that, she just had to shape it around her body parts and also her time to be able to maintain it.

Currently, after ten months…she could keep it up for a whole two months. Of course, since Akeno had longer to master her [Fallen Angel mode] she could keep it up, from what she personally told me 20 years. She had managed to decrease its demonic consumption so much that it takes very little to activate and maintain.

This includes when she uses powerful techniques and spells.

Much like my armor, it increases Rias's overall power and defenses. Rias also developed her [Extinguished Star] move and the speed which she creates it is very fast, even more so when she's in her new 'form' or 'mode' she hasn't officially given it a name yet.

I let the two duke it out and look at the others in here.

Valerie has been in a good mood lately as she's been humming happily beside me, she has recently reached Satan Class, her powers have improved a lot, she caught up to Gasper pretty quicky…does she have a higher potential than him?

She hasn't really touched her Sacred Gear either…I can't blame her, but I along with everyone else has been encouraging her to do it, she's still missing the other two graals she can still use the one she has.

But she did say she wanted all of them back before actively using them again…I should try get them back as fast as I can.

As mentioned earlier, everyone went up a rank or multiple ranks, while also slowing mastering their own powers. Even creating new moves from the ones, I taught or let them see. I've also been wondering…should I teach them 'Haki'? the ones from One piece.

I personally think, yes. It should benefit them all a lot…the ones with touki may go up in power by a lot if they master 'Armament Haki' and 'Observation Haki' I have no idea which ones can awaken 'Conqueror's Haki' unless I just outright give it to them.

Of course, I would need to put this foreign power into them, it doesn't exist in this world…but if I do put 'Haki' into them, maybe only a select few will awaken the 'Conqueror'. Isn't touki and haki the same thing? So, I need to make them 'separate' things so they can be used at the same time as touki.

It would benefit Kiba and Xenovia in the future by a lot if they learned both Armament and Observation, as well as touki…I have talks with the guy but he's hesitant…he can be quite stubborn with the weirdest things.

Rossweisse and Suzaku were in sparring match with me, they wanted to improve their hand-to-hand combat. The two were already good at it, but wanted to train a bit more. Everyone else was having lunch in my home so I stopped the spawning.

The three of us were currently outside go at it. Rossweisse took it upon herself to learn enchantment magic from Irene, Asia had learnt it from me and also Irene when they met.

Rossweisse easily picked it up and now our group has two that can do enchanting, excluding Irene and myself.

She had enchanted herself and Suzaku.

The both came at me at the same time, sending punches and kicks towards me. I had swiftly dodged them. Suzaku increasing her speed appeared behind me and sent a roundhouse kick meanwhile Rossweisse empowered her fist with a bit of magic and rushed in front of me.

I teleport away and the two of them seemed surprised and both their attacks collided.

The two hit each other, Suzaku's kick hit Rossweisse on the shoulder and Rossweisse's punch hit her on the stomach. The two of them sent each other flying my accident. I…no I'm not the bad guy here, am I? I just dodged…

Reni…she finally reached it! But it became a lot harder for her to progress after that. She wanted to reach triple A, I even put on the 2x growth but only pushed her to triple B. She was like a mad woman hunting down anything and everything.

But everyone more or less reached God class, including the two Gremory male members. Sirzechs is a Super Devil – Ex+++ so that's saying something…they're at least in the top 20 in the world in terms of raw power.

Kiba and Gasper just need to reach [Balance Break], Kiba while also getting his second Sacred Gear in the next events of this world…Gasper needing to evolve his [Forbidden Balor View] into [Aeon Balor] as well as controlling the insane power he has within him…

Latia…slowed down her hunting and killing, instead she focused on her mastering the new powers I gave her, she also focused on perfecting her demonic powers. In a way she sacrificed raw power for mastery and control.

I had told her she could do both but said she wanted to focus on what she wants. I already changed her potential like everyone else…maybe I should change Gasper and Kiba's….I'm not too sure yet.

Everyone else's growth was what I expected. I also deepened my relationship with all of them, a few still hesitant to take that last step but I'm willing to wait…I have eternity after all.

Of course, 'JoJo' is known as 'GoGo' in the universe, dunno it just is. So, that's how Rias got this reference. The music was basically 1 for 1 no changes at all.

I said and the guys stop posing and the music stopped. Gasper was blushing quite hard while hiding his face with his hands, Kiba looked satisfied while chuckling to himself. I was waiting for the girls to react, well apart from Rias that is.

We obviously had to hold back even more, by we—I mean them. They did stabilize their powers over the last four months in our third session in the pocket dimension. But they do sometimes lose a bit of control when they get a bit…excited or hyper.

We were playing dodge ball, and it was class vs class. The guys were aiming for me like their life depended on it, come on! It's been two months please get over it!

I was against Eita, I'm sorry man…I'll end it quick. We stare each other down until he threw the ball he had hidden behind his back.

We all answered Rias in an upbeat tone, we were about to play a baseball game, while we lacked members, we still went through with it. I had to work the infield because of the lack of players, the others had the outfield.

Kiba was catcher, I was pitcher, Gasper 1st base, Asia 2nd base, Ingvild 3rd base, Rias, Shirone and Akeno were the outfielders, we had no short stop so I had to play that role in a way.

The game started and we were at bat. Rias was first and she was against the ace pitcher for our baseball team. Thomas Anderson, he seemed pretty fired up, the guy could throw consistent 95 to 99 mph fast balls, even with his bulky and muscular build he was quite fast on his feet.

She is also the current Captain of the Tennis club.

The Tennis Club won the first match, it was Gasper versus a veteran player, he stood no chance, even with all the training at the [Pocket Dimension] Gasper still had a bit of problem with interacting with new people. He wouldn't scream, cry and run away, no, he's a lot better now.

But he doesn't like…the excessive attention, I guess? Since it's the ball tournament and a lot of eyes are on him, it got to him and he messed up a few times, even tripping on nothing.

The second match we won, Akeno versus another veteran tennis player. She asked for some encouragement…so I kissed her in front of everyone…yeah that caused a ruckus, people freaked out left and right.

I didn't care…it'll be a scandal to humans though, you know since I already said I have a girlfriend and all…but it did motivate Akeno and she easily overpowered her opponent.

We were meant to play five matches in total, two have been played, one win for each club. Three left to go, I was meant to play the last game regardless of how the score is…

Rias and Abe were going at it, they've been on the same rally for five minutes now, neither giving up, if Abe scored, she won the fourth match making it a tie, right now the Occult Research Club had two wins, the Tennis club had one.
