Everyone seemed like a light compared to the boy in the corner with dark brown hair and green eyes. He was in a black hoodie and blue jeans. He was the kind of guy who you wouldn’t notice unless you were looking for him. “Now, who can tell me where x and y meet, otherwise known as the origin?” Said the male teacher at the front of the classroom pointing to a graph he drew on the whiteboard. Just about ten kids raised their hands.
The boy in the corner was looking out the window at the snowfall. Thinking about everything but his work. “How about Hades, do you know where the origin is?” “Who the fuck is Hades?” A young man asked the teacher. “Hades, stand for the class, and as for you,” The teacher said. “You need to learn a filter.” “Ryan’s right though, I don’t remember anyone named Hades.” Said A young lady named Mia who was right next to Ryan and was dating him. Hades was sneaking toward the door. He didn’t like the attention Mr. Manson gave him.
Mr. Manson would always try to find a way to call Hades out to talk. He sat in the corner to avoid this very kind of attention. Back in the class, the teacher had just realized Hades was gone. In fact, Hades was already out of the math hallway before the teacher realized it. Hades was mostly a good kid. Got good grades, had a goal, etcetera. The only thing was that he hated interaction with other humans. Hell, he barely said “hi” to his mom.
There was a man with dirty blonde hair walking near Hades. It was the social counselor. The teachers of the generation before were concerned because many students had little to no social skills. So they hired people to help kids communicate with others. This counselor was Mr. Elder and most of the students loved him. Right then he was looking for Hades Onmaro. He saw someone that looked like Hades. Braeden looked at the photo and sure enough, it was Hades.
“Hey kid, follow me, will you?” At this Hades stopped his downward stare and looked into his pale blue eyes. Hades had heard of Mr. Elder and not all of it was good but this was the first time he had seen him.
Hades followed him to a room that looked like an office but it had that weeb touch to it. It was decored with posters of MHA, Assassination classroom, Fairy Tail, etc. Mr. Elder sat down behind a desk, and Hades sat in a comforting blue chair. Right next to him was a pale-skinned girl that had shockingly similar hair and eyes to Mr. Elder.
“Hades do you know why you’re here?” Mr. Elder asked Hades. Hades was snapped to attention by this. He was staring at the girl before. He saw her as an angel from the heavens. “No sir,” Hades said. “You are here because you have no friends.” Mr. Elder didn’t like the formality he had to put on. But it was an order from his superiors, so it was followed, or he had to find another job.
“And I was hired by the school to help you with that. Now, this is ʻAnela Elder my daughter and she has a similar problem.” He said while pointing at the girl next to Hades. “So I’m pairing you together. Right after school goes to this address.” He handed Hades a note as the final bell rang.
“Damn is it really that late?” He asked while pulling a silver pocket watch out and flipping it up. “Hey since we are all going to the same place, can’t we give him a ride?” ʻAnela asked Mr. Elder. So they walk Hades to Mr. Elder’s car and drive away in the black ford. Jackson High fades away as Braeden drives, or so it seems to Hades.
