Natasha's POV:
It's been nearly three years since Loki kidnapped me. I can't remember what happened after we disappeared through the portal.
But one thing was sure, David beat up Loki and then ran amok, killing Nick Fury in the process...
At first, I didn't think he would do something like that. It's true that you shouldn't get on his bad side, but he never behaved in such a manner as the other told me.
But that didn't change the fact that he tried to enslave the world... But it was all pretty strange.
And the only person who could clear this up disappeared without a trace.
At least until we came to Sokovia and found him there a few months ago.
It was reported that the country was plagued by a civil war. However, when we arrived, everything was peaceful.
What brought us to Sokovia? Some Hydra guy sent Tony a message and when we arrived, he simply surrendered his facility to us.
Normally they don't give up, so this was the strangest thing I have seen to date.
For the next few weeks we caught some Hydra supporters like a guy named Klaue who couldn't keep his mouth shut for a second.
Till one day while I and Clint were flying to a mission, Tony called to tell us he had found David and everyone should be prepared for a fight.
It was my first chance to hear the truth.
I was pretty sure he wouldn't do anything to me, or he would have killed me in New York already.
The problem is that Carol was already on her way to him.
So when we arrived, it was already too late. The whole place was a wasteland, and Carol was lying in the middle of it with wounds all over her body.
Tony was convinced that David was responsible for all the destruction and that he left Carol in this condition to humiliate us.
I was not so sure about it.
It looked more like it that Carol destroyed this place since the ground was not charred like in the Central Park in New York. The only damage that seems from him was the crater where Carol was lying in.
The question was why did he leave her alive? Normally, if he fights someone it's dead or alive, but never in between.
But in the end, it did not matter. Because Tony didn't want to hear any of it.
After the New York battle, he became quite emotional unstable when David was mentioned, as if he couldn't accept what had happened that day.
This makes me miss Fury sometimes, who always dealt with situations like this, without getting blinded by unnecessary emotions.
And his attitude became even worse when he discovered that, Bucky Barnes had killed his parents. No one in Shield had a peaceful moment anymore after that.
As soon as we found Barnes, he surrendered to us immediately. However, that was not enough for Tony.
He nearly killed him and even ripped off his prosthetic arm, while the other did not fight back.
Only when every one of us stepped in did he back down.
We also found out why Barnes killed Tony's parents. He was controlled by Hydra for a long time and it was only when he met David that he broke free from it.
In the end Tony decided to send him to the Raft.
Since I did not want to deal with other people's problems, I remained neutral and did not interfere.
But shortly after people started to leave Shield and the Avengers.
First, Clint left Shield. He said he was a human and not a member of the Iron Legion that Stark owns.
Afterwards Bruce tried to leave too, but Tony basically told him that if he left Shield, no one would protect him from Ross anymore.
Therefore, he had no other choice but to stay and together they built Tony's greatest invention yet, named Vision.
When Thor saw what they had done with the Mind Stone, he left the Avengers too. But he let Vision be and said that it had become a living being and deserved to live because of it.
And Steve, well... he wasn't really a part of the Avengers and Shield anymore after Tony put Barnes into the Raft.
So I lost contact with him too, at least for a while.
Why didn't I leave too?
Because of Bruce, we started to become more than just friends over the years...
But things changed for me also, when suddenly the Raft got attacked. We only managed to save the prison logs and a few fleeing prisoners, such as Klaue.
When Steve and Sam disappeared and no corpse of Barnes was found that day, Tony only had to add two and two together to figure out what had happened.
After that, Tony aim was only to find them.
But when he checked the Shield logs, it came out that 'I' was the one who took the Quinjet and also helped Steve and Sam to get to the prison.
What the hell?
Lucky for me, he did not kill me that day, but still locked me up to be sure...
This drove me nearly over the edge, because he locked me up in the same improvised Shield prison, where people like Klaue were kept.
Now I could understand what Clint meant. For him, we are not people, we are things he owns and can replace at any time like his robots.
He did not even listen to me for a moment when he locked me up here.
One day later, Steve broke into the prison and offered to free me. I couldn't say no, because I had had enough.
I had no place in Shield anymore...
We took Klaue with us, because he knew a safe place where we could go to. It was Wakanda.
When we imprisoned him the first time, he didn't stop talking about how he stole his vibranium there.
So we were sure they would let us stay there, if we gave him to them.
We also tried to find Bruce to take him with, but after Tony noticed my escape he locked him up somewhere and we had no time to find him.
Thus, we had no choice but to leave him behind until we could rescue him...
My only hope was that he would understand that I did not leave him because I did not care about him.

But because I had no other choice at the moment.
So we fled America and ended up in the situation we are in now.
We were standing in front of a man in a black catsuit, that Sam and Steve had already met in Raft.
When we showed up with Klaue and Barnes, their border patrol member nearly kissed us for finding him Klaw.
At this point, we knew we had been saved.
I was still concerned about an imposter who ran around out there.
However, since Steve and Sam had no info's about her, I could only wait for the opportunity to catch her.
Having settled everything with the cat man, who the border patrol guy called T'Challa, we were ready to meet the king.
However, then my Energy Reader started to vibrate and found the same energy signature as in Sokovia...
The moment Steve saw it, he stopped T'Challa and his guard.
And then something strange happened. I noticed that the guard saw the device and seemed concerned for a second.
It was as if he knew what it was.
But when Steve asked about David, T'Challa basically said that we should fuck ourselves, so we had no choice but to back off.
Steve told me that David was in the Raft too and now he is here.
Is it just all a coincidence or is he planning something?
We arrived at a large tower nearly an hour later.
But when we tried to step in, we were stopped by T'Challa who was already here too. His companion was a young woman this time.
"Tony Stark already knows that you are here and he will get you by force, if we don't hand you out, so be prepared for a battle." said T'Challa.
He does not appear to want to hand us over. He is more inclined to fight, but why?
"We made sure that nothing we used was trackable, so how could he find us?" Asked Sam, while slowly losing his cool.
"Nothing to track, you say?" The woman pressed something on her wrist when she said this.
"They are right nothing sends out a signal."
I saw Steve suddenly grimace and then he looked at his shield.
"Klaue and this shield were with us. Howard Stark said he got the metal somewhere in Africa, so maybe he watched through his father's records to get a clue and found us this way."
"Get the metal from somewhere? All the vibranium in the world was stolen from my people and never just given away." a furious T'challa exclaimed.
But Steve remained calm and said, "I'm sorry if it's this way. If necessary, I will give it back to your people, but first, let us deal with Tony somehow."
"Shuri, activate the force field and call Okoye to prepare our warriors. In the meantime, we will go to father and I will explain anything."
Nodding, Shuri presses again on her wrist something, and a blue force field appears above us, which seems to reach to the borders.
After seeing this, we followed T'Challa inside.
There he told his father, who was also the king, about the situation. The king became angry not that some stranger had come in and probably started a war, but about how Stark behaved.
"A man who thinks he owns everything wants to attack us if we don't do what he says. That's not acceptable!
We should show him that he has no power over our people and also show the world that small countries like our shouldn't fear an aggressor."
We couldn't even say anything, because T'Challa and his father decided everything.
But then Steve stepped forward. "King T'Chaka, may I say something?"
The king nodded.
"Before an actual fight breaks out, I want to talk to Tony. Maybe I can stop him from doing something stupid."
King T'Chaka closed his eyes for a moment and then agreed to Steve's proposal.
After getting the OK from the king we marched with a small army to the borders, where Tony and the Iron Legion were already spotted.
To avoid escalation, only Steve and I went to the force field.
Tony stood alone there with a massive army of his Iron Legion.
The first thing he said when he saw us was, "Ah, the traitors, are you planning to give up? If not, don't even start."
"No, we are here to talk. You need to stop doing this, Tony. It got out of hand!" said Steve with a sad face.
"There is nothing to talk about. You know precisely what he did! There is no excuse for this.
If you support him, you will become my enemy too and if you think some lousy force field can stop me, then you are wrong. Vision!"
The next moment, an explosion could be heard from afar and the force field was turned off.
We stood now unprotected in front of Iron Man and his army.
"Wait, I give up. Let them go!" said Barnes while running up to us.
"No, negotiations are over.
All of you surrender or you will not like what is coming next!"
When he said this, the Iron Legion started to charge up their repulsors.
