Isaac was sitting directly across me. THE Isaac was sitting across me at HIS OWN HOUSE. What forced this uncomfortable predicament between us? The pain-staking assignment that the teacher just happened to call both our names for.
Ever since Isaac transferred to Dan's school, he's always been a mysterious being. Isaac barely talks to other people, manages to be a straight A student, keep his face looking perfectly handsome but goes straight home whenever school finishes.
But why is it that I, a terrible student, lousy with fashion, terrible stutter, have to study with him? thought Dan, squirming in his chair from uncomfortability .
We have been meeting up at this house -HIS house- to work on this assignment. The house was very new and modern. It didn't have much character and felt cold. It was so quiet you could hear a pin drop. I glanced ahead at my classmate, Maybe it isn't just me?
There he was, Isaac, in his supreme handsomeness, doing his work -perfectly- as expected of him. He must have noticed and returned my gaze with his own.
"Hey, Dan, How are you going with your par?" asked Isaac, looking straight at me from across the table.
"Y-yeah, I guess it's all good," I forced an awkward laugh. I didn't like this tension between us, even if we had done this before, although... He's very considerate. AUGH! Just forget about it, just focus on the question.
I looked down at my exercise book. Right, back to work. I need to write up the graph for the both of us.
This is hard.... Math is my weakest point, why did I have to do it!! I groaned, but stopped it halfway, noticing how loud it was in the dead silent house.
I racked my brain for a solution, I guess Isaac must have noticed. He looked across the table, seeing the question laid out on the graph, quickly deducing the origin of my dilemma.
"Do you need help?" He asked with his usual monotone voice.
"Er - YEAH! Uh, oh... thanks..." My face felt hot, forming a bright red blush. Not wanting to further embarrass myself, I looked down to hide it. Yeah, I shouldn't have said that so loud.
I looked up for a moment to see his smirking face. Huh? He smiled. No, I must of been imagining things, that guy never shows emotion.
Isaac walked around the table to get behind me. He leaned over my shoulder and reached to start using my laptop.
Oh, I see, He's going into Excel.
"Rewrite the data here," he explained.
He quickly typed in the numbers, speeding thought the list of data. Wow, he's really good at everything isn't he, unlike me... Oh, He smells good. Mint I think. I leaned my head back against his chest to smell it better. Mint and... another smell. Almonds. Oh, he's already done.
"Now that's done, go over here and down here and... you've got a graph."
I looked at my laptop screen. There was an easy-to-read graph right there, I didn't need to know Math to do it.

"Wow! Um- t-THAnks!" I stuttered, "Your really g-good at, um, this stuff; just like your good looks, haha!"
I tilted my head back to look at him. He face was so close. His head looked upside-down to my perspective and a single eyebrow was raised to show confusion. Oh shoot! Goodness Daniel, great job for running your mouth, now look what you've done!
"Oh um, I mean, your always good looking, attracting the girls everywhere, a-and you're a straight A student, unlike me who does random stuff at home. Even your black hair always seems to stay smooth and your face is handsome and you even smell good. I think mint and - Ack!"
Isaac was covering his mouth with his hand. I could feel my face going redder than before so I decided to keep my mouth closed by biting my lips together. Now you've blown it, he probably hates you now. I looked down at my lap, not wanting to see his disappointed face.
Then I felt my hair being fondled. Is this his form of a punishment? Isaac's hand tousled my hair and played with my red curls. He continued to tousle my hair, and then applied more pressure in his fingers, massaging my head. His hand ruffling my hair along with his careful movements to massage undoubtedly made me lower my guard and feel more relaxed in his presence.
"You looked nervous, are you better now?" Isaac asked, removing his hand from my head.
"Oh, yeah, that felt real nice. Thanks!" I ran my hand through my hair. Boy, that felt good. He keeps caring for me, he's kind and hot. My face flushed slightly at that thought.
"I think we're done here for the day," Isaac said, clearing his books from the table, "Unless you'd like to hang out?"
"Maybe... another day." I still didn't feel completely comfortable doing things with him even though I noticeably haven't stuttered since he played with my hair.
"Okay, see you on Saturday. We'll need to put it all together before it's due."
"Yep, uh, see you then." I grabbed my stuff and left his house.
Isaac P.O.V.
Cute. I thought as I imagined Dan's flustered face. I hope Dan didn't see me blush when he put his head on my chest.
Too bad I didn't do any more with him, or mum would probably move me to yet another school.
It was a few weeks back when we started this school project, and I've been crushing on this boy since.
I've always had a preference for boys. mum said she wouldn't be able to stand me being gay unless I got straight As and stayed quiet about it. The last school, the boy I liked told the whole class when I confessed to him, making the school turn against me.
Mum said this is the last time I'm switching schools so I'd better not mess up again.
I really hope I don't.
