Chapter 12: [Vol. 2] [Chapter 12: First Encounter] {12}

From the top of the apartment building, a male teenager at the age of 16, in the 2nd grade of high school, stood holding a sheathed black katana. Wearing a white overcoat with ankle length and with a black stripe pattern. Wearing black pants, black boots, and a black shirt that was unbuttoned at his neck. His neck wearing a choker, his hair is a little long but stylishly styled in black color, and slender body. His full name is “Suga Hisoka”.

Before long, from his back, appeared 6 pairs of large birds wings. Suga then just fell, from the top of this apartment building. The wings on Suga's back expand, and he then immediately flew toward Ken. Suga then landed next to Ken causing a blast of wind, he then immediately used his 3 left wings to protect Ken. This happened just before the man in the jacket launched a powerful claw aimed at Ken, but these claws ended up just hitting the hard wings, causing sparks of fire. Ken who is next to Suga looks amazed. Ken thought to himself

"Angel?"

Seeing this unusual thing, made the man in the jacket surprised. Suga then threw his left wing forward, making the man in the jacket unable to hold back, and finally fell backward, but managed to maintain his balance not to fall.

Suga has a calm facial expression, he was carrying a black katana with a black scabbard, a black handle, wrapped in black bandage-like cloth on the hilt which looks untidy, and some are dangling. It appeared that his hair would cover his eyes if he moved too actively like just now. Suga then turned to Ken and looked at him with his calm eyes, and a gentle smile. Suga said

“Leave the rest to me”

Kan appears to only be able to give a nod with a still amazed expression on his face.

Ken looked at this man again and finally realized that there was something unusual about this winged man. The wings on Suga’s back began to shift, and these wings turned out to be an extension of the body of another creature who was shaped like Eurasian eagle-owl standing behind Suga, looking at Ken with a sinister expression.

A large Owl Yokai that is taller than Suga, with 3 pairs of large wings, and armor skin that propagates on its body. On the armor on its head, it appears to have 3 pairs of horns that resemble deer antlers. This owl wears a helmet that looks like a grip on the head, like a shiny black tree root that creeps up to the back of the neck, then to the back of this owl and to its tail, also getting to the upper edge of the wings and continues to propagate to the upper surface of each wing. This thing that propagated through this owl's body was his armor skin and an extension of his own body. The legs have long nails covered with sharp carved armor. Seeing the creature, Ken's expression turned shocked. Ken said

“The, there is something behind you…”

Hearing this, Suga appeared a little surprised, he then replied

"It's okay, he's my friend"

Hearing this, Ken appeared unable to answer anything.

Suga faced the man in the jacket. Just seen by Ken, it appears that on Suga’s back, he wears a protector with a shape to make it easy to grip firmly by the owl's legs. This protector is modified in such a way that it can stabilize Suga's body while flying with the Owl Yokai. Suga then said

“Get ready Nellson”

Hearing this, the owl appeared to start reacting.

Suga gripped the hilt of his katana upside down, ready to use it to attack. Suga pulled his katana from its scabbard slightly, showing that the katana blade was a glossy black pearl. This owl yokai then began to fly forward, its legs immediately gripped the shield on Suga's back, then carried Suga flying forward with him.

Quickly, Suga shortened the distance with the man in the jacket, and Suga immediately slashed at the chest of the man in the jacket. The man in the jacket looked surprised and immediately backed away. Even so, the man in the jacket was still hit by a slash from Suga. This slash appeared to have left a deep scar on the jacketed man's chest, but it appeared that there was no blood flowing at all. Ken who saw this looked surprised. The man in the jacket smirked again, then said

“Seems like a lot of intruders tonight, huh? Then, I'll have a little fun"

The man in the jacket then took off his hat and threw it on the asphalt floor of the parking lot, it appeared that this man's hair was a stylish undercut, but messy because he had just worn a hat. This man then took off his jacket and also threw it away. It appears that he is wearing a sleeveless white T-shirt and an athletic body with gray-black tattoos. The tattoo on this man's body appears to be depicted with a sharp pattern of grooves along the hands to the neck and continues to his back. It appears that the wound on this man's chest evaporates white smoke, and gradually heals. From behind the tear in his shirt, it could be seen that the tattoo also continued to the front chest.

This man then crossed his arms in front of his face, over time, the muscles in his hands appeared to tighten and enlarge a little. Before long, thick black smoke evaporated from this man's entire body, which quickly then enveloped his entire body. Not long after, this smoke immediately spread and grew rapidly, and from it emerged a large Hyena Yokai, with a height of 3 meters, and brownish white fur.

This hyena Yokai appears to have a gray-black embossed armor skin pattern that looks like this man's tattoo, and this armor spreads throughout the hyena's Yokai body, from the neck to the body and legs. Its hind leg paw has long sharp claws covered in gray-black armor, where the soles of its forelegs resemble the palms of a human hand.

The upper body of this hyena Yokai has armor that extends along the top of the head towards the neck to the top of the back of this hyena Yokai, which along the center of the upper armor there is long fur-like hair. The eyes of this Yokai appear to glow and evaporate a fiery red smoke. This Yokai's expression looks hideous, growling with sharp and big teeth in its mouth.

Seeing this Yokai, Ken was suddenly surprised, his facial expression then changed to fear. Suga then threw his hand to the side, while saying

"You better back off Ken, take care of the fainted man too"

Nervously, Ken replied

           “I, I understand”

Ken then got up from his fall, although he still appeared to be a little wobbly, and immediately ran with a slight limp towards an abandoned apartment building, in front of one of the doors of this apartment room lay a man with a bag who had fainted earlier. Ken watched Suga and the Hyena Yokai with a scared expression.

           This hyena Yokai then ran forward, the initial beat of its steps appeared to destroy the concrete asphalt surface of this parking lot. Suga didn't appear to budge, he then prepared with the attacking stance to slash his katana at any moment. This hyena Yokai then was about to devour Suga, Suga immediately positioned his sword forward, with his right hand, whereas his left hand holding the scabbard was used to hold the katana.

           Finally, the Hyena's mouth was close enough to devour Suga, Suga immediately used his sword and scabbard to fend off. The sword and the hyena's Yokai head collided, causing a strong thump that made wind blasts in all directions. This collision was very strong, but for some reason, Suga budge just a bit, and can withstand the thrusts of a Yokai that much larger than him. It appears that Ken, who is far enough away, is affected by this wind so he uses both his forearms to protect his face. Ken who also witnessed this looked surprised, he thought to himself

            “How could he withstand the attacks from such a large creature?”

Back to Suga and the Hyena Yokai, they are now holding each other up. This Hyena Yokai appeared to have realized something, he then said

           “A Yokai weapon huh? No wonder you can withstand my attacks”

Suga appeared to remain calm, he then answered

           "You better not take it lightly"

Hearing this, the Hyena Yokai just realized that Nellson, the owl Yokai behind Suga had disappeared, the Hyena Yokai looked surprised. Shortly after, Nellson appeared from beside the Hyena Yokai, Nellson looked at him with a sinister facial expression. Hyena Yokai thought to himself

           "Since when…"

This made the hyena Yokai surprised again, he was too late to notice Nellson's movement and could no longer dodge. Nellson then flung his wings at the hyena Yokai with great force, their armor skin colliding violently causing sparks of fire and explosions of wind. The Hyena Yokai was then thrown aside towards the apartment building.
