Makoto received the scroll given by Suga, then opened it, and read the contents. Immediately, Makoto's expression turned serious. Makoto rolled up the letter again as it was, then replied

“Alright, I'll let you know when I've considered the contents of this letter. If you have no need anymore, please leave this place”

Hearing this Suga appeared to just smile, but Makoto's attitude made Ken curious, as well as surprised. Ken then said

"Grandpa doesn't want to entertain him first?"

Makoto's attention was fixed on Ken, he then replied

"I guess there's no need, right Hisoka-san?"

Suga answered

“Of course Mr. Makoto. Nor will I force you to react now to the letter, you can contact us at any time. In that case, I'll say goodbye first"

Makoto gave a nod, then replied

“Ken, can you accompany Hisoka-san with you?”

Ken gave a nod and looked awkward. Suga and Ken then walked out together from Makoto's office. Arriving in front of the house, Ken looked reluctant in his expression. Ken then said

“Sorry for Grandpa's actions Suga san”

Suga smiled, then replied                                 

"It's fine, Mr. Makoto's actions are understandable, you should talk to him to discuss the contents of the letter"

Hearing this, Ken's expression turned astonished, he then replied

"Of course..."

Suga replied

"Thank you for your time, I'll excuse myself"

Suga then walked towards his car which was parking here, the driver then opened the car’s door for Suga. Suga then got into his car, Suga's car then drove away from here. Suga's arrival appeared to leave a question mark on Ken, he then walked back into the main house.

Once again Ken arrived at his grandfather's office, Makoto appeared to have been waiting for him, while sitting on the long sofa chair in this office, with a scroll on a short table in front of him, which was open, because it had been read by Makoto. Ken then sat on the sofa opposite Makoto, then said

“Did Grandpa realize something? What's wrong with grandpa's attitude towards Suga san?"

Makoto's expression was serious, he then replied

"I think you've heard him too if he's from the Yokai Controller Association"

Hearing this, Ken immediately thought back to it. Ken replied

“The Yokai controller association? Sounds good… Is there something wrong with that?”

Makoto crossed his arms, then answered

“The Yokai Controller Association is an institution that houses the Yokai controllers, with the aim of “Protecting humanity from the dangers of Yokais”. The Takeru extended family used to be a part of it until we finally left because we chose not to be a Yokai controller anymore…”

Makoto was silent for a moment, it appeared that something was bothering him. Seeing his grandfather's expression, made Ken look curious. Makoto continues talking

“The Association is led by people who I think are dangerous. You will understand the connection to what I said if you have experienced being a Yokai controller”

Ken's expression turned wistful, he then replied

"Grandpa mean, Suga san might not be a good person?"

Makoto replied

"I can't comment on that, I guess Hisoka san has his own point of view"

Ken appeared quite surprised by this, he then replied

“I see… I should have realized that this thing might get even bigger”

Makoto replied

"Hisoka is one of them, he came here to give a letter containing an offer for the Takeru extended family to reactivate as a Yokai controller, as well as a Yokai investigator"

Hearing this, Ken's expression turned surprised, he then replied

"And grandpa doesn't feel like joining?"

Makoto's expression turned serious, he then replied

“Actually, what bothered me was not whether I wanted to join or not. They haven't done anything like this in a long time, so it must be for some reason"

Ken's expression turned serious. Makoto then relaxed himself more, then said

"Okay, put this matter aside, let me take care of it for the time being"

Ken replied with a nod, Makoto then continued talking

"So... what do you need here Ken?"

Hearing this, Ken looked a little surprised, Ken hesitated then answered

“I actually… want to try to become a Yokai controller”

Hearing this, made Makoto look surprised, his expression then turned happy. Makoto said

Ken stood up from his seat and gave a respectful bow, saying

"Please guide me, grandpa"

Makoto smiled, then replied

"Yes, you don’t have to feel reluctant, I'm actually happy"

Ken raised his head again, and also replied with a smile. Makoto said

"No need to rush, you rest first in your room, let me call the butler to take you"

Ken, who appeared a little tired from school activities and his trip, immediately agreed to the suggestion. Makoto then called the butler from the phone on his desk, to immediately go to his office.

Not long after, there was a knock at the door of the room. Makoto invited him, a male butler then walked into the room. This male butler smiled, then said

"Welcome young master, let me take you to your room. You are free to choose any bedroom”

Ken replied

“I chose a room facing the backyard only, on the second floor”

The butler replied

"Okay, let me carry your luggage"

This time, Ken didn't appear to refuse it and let it go. This butler then said

“Please follow me”

The butler then walked away. After saying goodbye to his grandfather, Ken also walked away from here. Arriving at the bedroom chosen by Ken, the butler then put Ken's luggage in the room. The butler said

“Is there anything else I can help you with, young master?”

Ken smiled, then answered

“I guess not, thanks”

The butler gave a respectful bow and smiled, he then walked out of the room and closed the door.

Ken walked to the window in this room, then opened it. The view outside the window is the backyard of the house, but Ken's attention is focused on the shrine on the hill behind this house, with the lights from the shrine being the only light source on this hill. Remembered again by Ken, the glove puppet Asanuma he left in the shrine. Ken finally decided to take a shower first to relieve fatigue.

In the evening, the time now shows at 7:00 pm. After resting for a while, Ken is now walking down the corridor on the 1st floor, before long, he arrived in the dining room. It appears that the table has been prepared with plates and cutlery, for dinner. The crystal chandeliers on the ceiling appear to light up beautifully to illuminate the room. Ken looked around him, looking for his grandfather, but he wasn't there. not long after, a female servant appeared to walk in, Ken then immediately came to her. Seeing Ken's arrival, this servant immediately gave a polite gesture and smiled. Ken said

"Where's Grandpa?"

This servant replied

“Mr. Makoto is still in his office and will join you as soon as his business is done. He hopes you can wait for him”

Ken gave a nod, then replied

"Okay, let me just pick up grandpa"

Ken then walked out of the dining room.

Ken is now walking down the corridor on the 2nd floor which is a little dim, with not all of the wall lights here lit. Ken arrived in front of the entrance of his grandfather's office, Ken then knocked on the door. Before long, an answer came from inside, which invited Ken in. Ken then opened the door in front of him and walked in. Inside the room, Makoto who was sitting behind his desk then got up from his seat, and immediately greeted Ken. Makoto said

"Ken? You can just wait in the dining room"

Ken replied

"It's okay Grandpa, I'm not hungry after all"

Ken's attention was drawn to the documents scattered on his grandfather's desk. Ken then said

"Is grandpa working on something?"

Makoto replied

“Yes, it's still related to the Association, But this can be interrupted first"

They then sat together on the Long L sofa chair here for guests. Hearing what Makoto said, appeared to interest Ken, but he feel reluctant to ask. Ken replied

"I see, then I won't interfere in that matter"

Makoto smiled, then replied

"Since you've decided to come here, let's have a chat"

Ken's expression turned nervous, he then replied

"Eh? Actually… that's what I came here for”

Hearing this, Makoto looked curious, he then said

“Alright, let's start lightly with the question session. What do you want to know?”

Hearing this, Ken's expression changed to surprise, he then looked curious.
