Chapter 15 Part 2: White-tailed blade rodent
The remaining Rodents flew back into the forest to join back with the others.
Suddenly there was an eerie, gurgling sound…
–Hunters, get in the way!
A new monster with a huge body suddenly emerged. Everytime this bastards feel a sense of crisis… It would rush back to the boss and cling to its body. Now it would even form into this horrid monster.
What used to be about the size of a human’s forearm suddenly merged together and formed into a huge body, which was five times bigger than an average person. It snapped a tree with just a flip of its arm.
Thump thump!
Its heavy weight would cause the ground to shake with its every step.
-Kekekekkekekekeke!
It made a peculiar and creepy sound.
“Tankers, On position!”
With Hyewon-Unnie’s command, all the tankers began to pull aggro. Jeong Sang-Jun who finally got his shield back led them. It’s dangerous for one person to receive a concentrated attack. So they decided to distribute the shield amongst each other evenly.
Thump, thump!
“It’s so much stronger than I thought!”
“Guild leader!”
He swung his fist with the shield firmly clasped. No matter how sturdy a Tanker was, they can only withstand an attack once. There won’t be a second time.
“Hold on a little longer!”
While the tanks endured the continuous bombardment, the rangers fired arrows and thrust knives into its legs. Hyewon-Unnie flew behind it, and made a sudden slash along the nape of its neck.
Kugoong!
“Ugh!”
“We can’t take it anymore…!”
“Aagh!”
With a shriek, all the tankers collapsed. Jo Yeon-ho quickly responded and started healing the wounded, but it didn’t mean much unless the shattered shield was fixed. The injured tankers were hurriedly pulled back.
Since there was no one else to receive the monster’s attack anymore, the Damage dealers begain to collapse as well. Basically these damage dealers are pretty weak. Once they’re hit once, one might not be able to determine their life and death.
Tension began to rise.
“Haah…. I just need to hit the back of its head, but there’s no gap…”
Hyewon-Unnie frowned slightly. Only one of her eyes were opened, with the other covered in blood due to the abrasions she received on her forehead.
It was a miserable situation. There was no shield to block the front, and everyone else were exhausted.
However, the monster’s weak point, which was the back of its head, was clearly visible in the air. As long as you can approach it, you can strike it..
“Is it okay if I hit the back of its head?”
“What…… Seoha-ya. You don’t have to step out. This is what we-”
“My unique skill is «Spatial Interference».”
Hyewon-Unnie hesitated after hearing my words. She is aware of the current situation, and right now, My Unique skill is the best solution to deal with it.
“…Can you do it?”
A woman bleeding down her side asked beside me. She was the Hunter who sympathized with me on the first day we met.
“I could.”
When I said it sternly, Hyewon-Unnie looked worried for a moment. But she couldn’t hesitate for a long time. Everyone in front of her were being swept away by the monster, and now its right in front of her nose.

Jo Yeon-ho finished treating some wounded and used his Unique skill on Hyewon-Unnie. All of her consumed stamina should have been restored. The abrasion over her eye also healed rapidly and stopped bleeding.
“Okay. Run over and stab it, once I give you the signal. There will be a gap in the back of its head. If you strike at that spot, they won’t be able to combine perfectly. Once you strike that spot, their formation will completely break apart, Okay?”
Hyewon said as she brushed away the dried up blood from her face. We then exchanged our weapons. I held her blade while she took my Karambit. She tested the Karambit and swung it a couple of times, then flew into the air once again.
“Get out of the way!”
Everyone who was dawdling at the back moved aside when Hyewon-Unnie came over. Her injuries were so severe that she could only hold out for quite a while longer. It was Jo Yeon-Ho’s turn to get busy again.
Hyewon-Unnie easily dodged the monster’s fist. Everytime it attacks, the ground would crack and the surrounding trees would split in two. If you get hit even once, you could turn into a bloodied pulp. In that close tug-of-war like fight, she was able to repeatedly dodge once, twice, three times. The agitated monster suddenly grew impatient, and raised his arms as if preparing for a big move!
Fu-wook!
Hyewon-Unnie finally found an opening, and instantly rushed forward, then gauge out both its eyes with the Karambit. Hyewon scraped her hand in the process, she was still unfamiliar with the weapon, but she didn’t have the time to pay attention to it.
“Now! Seo-Ha!”
Before Hyewon unnie could even scream, I was already activating my skill. A large amount of information rushed into my mind in an instant, but I couldn’t falter. I closed and opened my eyes, finally sensing that familiar sensation.
Finally I was over its head.
“Seo-Ha!”
Fu-wook!
Oh boy~
Drops of blood were splattered all over the place. My senses were numb for a moment. My ears were ringing, and I felt my vision shaking for a while.
What Happened just now?
After a brief pause, everything suddenly became clearer. I can feel a terrible pain ran up my leg. I couldn’t even scream. The burning sensation that seemed to shake my brain, left me speechless.
Huh!
Its tail pierced my leg.
However, I still have work to do. I can only feel the pain in this dull sensation. I realized that I was still holding the rapier on my hand. I can see the gap on this bastard’s neck in front of my eyes.
My worries were short-lived.
Chak!
I slashed the other hand with the rapier, and a tingling pain was all I could feel now.
The sensation eventually returned to my hand, along with that dull pain. However, I was still unable to recover. It seemed like I was struck by some sort of paralytic poison on my legs.
I had to stay alert.
One…Two…
Three!
-Kieheek! Kegeg, Kegek!
When I stuck the rapier into that narrow gap, the large monster body suddenly disintegrated as if it were about to collapse.
The tail that pierced my thigh also crumbled into small pieces, and blood suddenly gushed out. At that moment, I was thrown down to the grown, and was about to lose my consciousness.
The rodent which was caught at the end of my rapier suddenly spoke.
-The gift… Kigeek, did you like it? Kigigigg….
Beelzebub you f*cking retard! Just you wait! I’ll f*cking tear your stinky ass to pieces! Just you wait! Sooner or later… I’ll cut your neck!
I cussed him out until I lost consciousness.
