Chapter 2: Care less

So now that that's out of the way~

Let's check out this town huh. It's loaded with pedestrians or rather the theme is a somewhat advanced mideval, but with magic setting. Well in the desert it has its own style but it looks fine.

Kazuchi usually stays in a place made from her own powers when she goes idle so I went there over night and now I'm back. I'll jump down for now and walk around. Also something smells good~

The fall quickly reaching it's end, landing gracefully amongst the bustle of the town I did receive the gaze of a few curious onlookers.

Still, on my way to the source of the smell which I found a 9 tailed woman selling meals and snacks.

"Three burgers and that pie please." I said, pointing to a pie which looked good.

"That will be three yuria and one ben." The lady said.

Kazuchi when purchasing items she would make the money appear so of course I would as well. Also the money matches what I know in the game.

The money appeared as requested as the woman gasped but adopted her sells smile quickly. I felt the stare of more on looks than when I landed this morning.

I received my food and went to one of the near by tables.

The first bite was heaven the second bite was even better. The same can be said of the pie. I finished it all in one go.

"Haa~ that was so good."

I stretched and got up to leave, noticing im being followed I took my sweet time exploring each store purposely messing up the attempts made to get me alone by whoever my pursuer was.

It was noon when I finally decided to play along and walked near an alley to where my pursuer delightedly pushed me in the least discreet way possible into the alley and I fell as she growled at me.

"You did that on purpose!" -Unknown three tailed fox beast girl.

"What did I do- haha!" -Kazuchi.

She nailed me, stomping on my thigh to stop me from laughing any louder. She glowered at me only invoking me to smile.

"You purposely lead me along all day!" She hissed.

"I didn't tell you to follow me now did I?" I asked with a teasing smile.

She stomped again a little more forceful shown by the way her cute little leg came. She even twisted her foot.

"Don't talk back! Do you even understand the position youre in!?" -Weird girl.

"Yes yes.. I understand. You're quite cute you came to let me have a look at you right?" I asked.

"Cute!?" -flustered fox girl.

"Indeed indeed let's see~" I said, leaning forward and tucking my hair behind my ear so she could see me my grin. "Golden eyes that look as if the stars were in them, the auburn hair which looks as if it's on fire. Your style is really cute-" I teased.

When she couldn't seem to bear hearing anymore she turned and ran out of the alley. What was it she wanted from me again?

Well.. still not finished touring the city so that first.

Wait. Isn't that girl the daughter of the shopkeeper? With those amazing burgers.. could it be she wanted me to help them somehow? Couldn't be right... I'll stop by first. The food was good so I'll take care of them.

I got up and left the alley my self turning left and entering the street, the shop from earlier a little ways away. I was left to my thoughts of killing and painfully cutting them down, my smile a sharp contrast from my thoughts aren't they? It's fine Kazuchi is Omnicute, no matter what she do or thinks.

Well I am Kazuchi now.

I giggled softly there in turning some heads.

The shopkeeper/stallowner greeted me with the same smile as earlier, her daughter not far sitting on a crate near by. I gave her a smile and waved she turned her head her eyes not leaving me for a second.

"Welcome back dear customer, how can I help you?" She asked, reading the eye contact between me an her daughter. She kept her smile making me unable to read what she gathered from it.

"Your food earlier was wonderful and I can't help but want to try everything. I'd also like the food I had earlier along with the dishes now. Is that ok?" -Kazuchi.

The smile remained but she gave a quick glance over to the beast girl, whom reacted by looking away completely.

"The price will be a platinum and one yuria. Is that ok?" -shopkeeper.

I simultaneously made the money appear while telling her it's ok. As I turned to go to a table as rather than receiving it as I did earlier there was a lot they would have to carry to my table.

"Pardon, but would you mind if we share a table?" -shopkeeper.

"Please." -Kazuchi.

There in I went to my table and waited.

"Maria please take this order for me Im going on break." -shopkeeper.

In response to this the beast girl from earlier.. well now introduced as Maria, stood and went to prepare my order.

"Ok Beatrice."- Maria.

Beatrice? These name are really cool. Wait the naming reminds me of someone is that... The golden hair and blue eyes of Beatrice, they really look alike.

"Thank you for coming to our store." Beatrice said while drawing a pipe, she looked at me for a moment as if realizing what she did and wondering if it's ok.

"Please don't hold back." -Kazuchi.

Not need to regard me any further she lit her pipe, smoking for a while then turned to me.

"Did that idiot over there say anything?" -beatrice.

"No, she turned and ran for some reason." - Kazuchi.

She really looks like that Beatrice. I stare quite hard but not making any effort to stop as Kazuchi wouldn't hide her interest in things so of course I won't.

"Then can I ask what really brings you back?" She asked.

"Honestly the food really brought me back." -Kazuchi.

"..." -beatrice.

"Beatrice. If there's anything you need let me know." -Kazuchi.

"Really just what did she tell you." Beatrice mutter, talking to her self.

"Thanks for your kindness but even if you say that we only just met.." Beatrice said while giving me a look, evaluating me. Maybe to avoid being rude she left at that probably she would have just called me a cute girl with a Katana.

Well there's nothing I can nor really want to do right now to convince her. But it would be really cool if something happens and I can make a Kazuchi entrance. She's sooooo cool although protecting someone was rare she would offer her name and upon summoning she would appear, geez I'm getting chills.

"My name is Kazuchi. Say it anytime an I will appear!" -kazuchi.

"Then I'll do so." She said. 

I expect her to call me soon she's definitely curious.

The food momentarily arrived and I ate while encouraging Beatrice to eat with me. It's lonely to sit there and watch like that.

She put away her pipe and ate far less than me but her actions were elegant and refined giving me the impression she couldn't be a commoner but she couldn't be a fallen noble or something like that either, it doesn't feel like it. But she is selling her items in the common district.

"Beatrice can I ask a question?" -Kazuchi.

"Yes." -beatrice.

"Are you not a noble or something like that?" -kazuchi.

"I am not. I'm a witch actually. I assume my presentation gave you that impression?"- Beatrice.

I nodded. And just like the Beatrice that I know she's a witch.

"Witches typically have refinery and elegance but these days witches who lived a long time don't use it I'm one of the few who do." -beatrice.

"I've another question." -kazuchi.

"How long I lived right? Over a few quintillion years." -beatrice.

My eyes obviously went wide right here and my mouth wide open. Taking the opportunity where I was vulnerable beatrice fed me a slice of pie. 

"Witches don't age. That being the reason my appearance is this way." Beatrice said casually while watching me eat.

If she is a witch and the kind that I know of she really doesn't need my help at all. At least that's what I believe, in all stories witches hold power close to Omnipotence it self.

"If that's so won't my offer be useless?"- Kazuchi.

I was taking the last bite of my food when thinking about leaving shes fine. I'll just continue with my tour. I mostly finished but I didn't go to the red light district yet.

"I really do need something." She said pulling me from what felt like depression but shouldn't have been.

I lifted my head and looked into her beautiful eyes as she started smoking again.

"Come with me." Beatrice said mysteriously standing up tilting her head back to look at me.

The scenery instantly changed with a strong wind to a beautiful garden of flowers.
