“Young Master,” the maid greeted him respectfully.
Fu Qinglun was clad in a white shirt and a black vest, followed by a black overcoat outside. He entered the living room and handed his briefcase over to the maid, his gaze riveting to the episode happening in the living room.
He glanced at Rong’rong, who was still on the carpeted ground, and also Madam Fu. He might have sensed something fishy going on and so his brows were knitted, before his gaze landed on Lin Shiyu.
He sized her up, noticing the red marks on her wrist. His face turned somber and he walked over slowly.
“What’s the matter?” He stretched out his arm and held onto Lin Shiyu’s hand while asking.
Lin Shiyu shook her head in response. “It’s nothing much.”
His gaze sharpened and he glared at Rong’rong confrontationally.
Rong’rong was left on the carpeted ground, she dug her nails deep into her palms and was overcome by too much hatred to even feel the pain.
She had totally failed in her attempts to make Lin Shiyu the evil woman.
Lin Shiyu was able to counteract her moves and easily pull Madam Fu and Fu Qinglun over to her side, she wasn’t easy to deal with.
Lin Shiyu appeared cold and unknown to the hardships of the world but she was in fact well-exposed to the evils of society and mankind. She could read everyone’s true colors well, she just didn’t expose them.
If anyone were to dare to hurt her, she was sure to return them double the ‘favor’.
Rong’rong was totally disheveled and now that Fu Qinglun treated her coldly, even warning her with a piercing stare, she felt even more aggrieved.
“Brother Qinglun,” she said pitifully.
Madam Fu could already tell what Rong’rong was trying to do. She had pretended to fall in order to accuse Shiyu, but Madam Fu couldn’t bear to expose Rong’rong since she was her only daughter. She turned to look at Fu Qinglun instead. “Qinglun, you’re back?”
She had raised this son of hers for the past 27 years, even if he wasn’t her biological son, they had already built a rapport that could outperform the mere ties of blood.
After hearing Madam Fu calling him, Fu Qinglun quickly retracted his gaze and greeted Madam Fu, “Mom.”
Lin Shiyu retracted her hand and turned around, her gaze landing on Madam Fu. She suddenly raised a question. “Mom, didn’t you mention previously that Qinglun had a nickname that sounded really feminine, what was it?”
Lin Shiyu suddenly raised the question, she was direct and didn’t beat around the bush.
Fu Qinglun’s body stiffened, he didn’t expect her to raise such a question, and it was even in his presence.
“Shiyu, why are you suddenly asking about it? Qinglun’s nickname is Zi Jun,” Madam Fu answered in a puzzled tone.
Zi Jun.
Fu Qinglun looked at Lin Shiyu, observing her reaction worriedly right after Madam Fu said those words.
Lin Shiyu fluttered her eyelashes, she wasn’t surprised in the least. So he really was Zi Jun.
She didn’t utter a word and just turned around, preparing to leave.
“Shi’shi…” He called her from behind.
“Brother Qinglun, I’m in so much pain, could you please help me up?” Rong’rong was pestering Fu Qinglun again.
Lin Shiyu didn’t falter, she walked out of the Fu family’s mansion and was on the streets in a matter of seconds.
The cold night breeze blew her wavy hair around when her ringtone suddenly rang. She had an incoming phone call.
She took her cell phone out and answered the call. “Hello.”
“Shi’shi, where are you right now? I’ll come over and find you right away.” Fu Qinglun’s magnetic voice resounded in her ears, he sounded frantic.
He had ran out of the mansion to look for her.
Fu Qinglun stood tall along the streets, he clutched onto his cell phone tightly while looking around. The city was brightly lit with neon lights and it was crowded everywhere, he still couldn’t find the woman he was looking for.
He continued searching, not intending to give up.

But her euphonic voice could be heard. “Fu Qinglun, are you really Zi Jun?”
Fu Qinglun, are you Zi Jun?
Was he really Zi Jun, her pen pal for three years, the one who sent her those practice questions?
Was he the Zi Jun, the one she composed ‘Legend’ for?
Fu Qinglun slowed down, his heart sank and he turned dismal. He didn’t expect the two of them to acknowledge each other’s identity under such pressing circumstances. It wasn’t the right time and right location.
“Hm, I am.” He nodded his head in acknowledgment.
She didn’t reply to him and went totally silent. No one could tell what was on her mind.
“Shi’shi,” He called her name softly. He was so nervous and didn’t know what to say, too many thoughts were jumping around in his mind. “I…”
“Fu Qinglun,” She interrupted his words, “I’ll be waiting for you outside the City Hall tomorrow morning at eight o’clock. Let’s get our divorce decree then.”
Let’s get our divorce decree…
Her words seared into Fu Qinglun’s mind, his body stiffened and he was despondent. She was still determined to divorce him.
Even after she knew that he was Zi Jun.
“Shi’shi, are we really going to get a divorce? Can’t you give me one more chance?” He asked pleadingly.
She paused for a few seconds before saying, “Fu Qinglun, our marriage was a mistake from the very beginning. Let’s just end this once and for all.”
Fu Qinglun stood on the spot, his face turned gloomy and he clutched onto his cell phone till his joints were white. She had already made up her mind, what else could he do about it?
He was the one who tied her beside him forcefully, thinking that he would be able to keep her by his side forever. But it obviously didn’t work, she wasn’t willing to continue being together with him.
He was overcome by helplessness, his throat was dry and he could only utter one word. “Okay.”
Okay, let’s get a divorce.
I’ll return her freedom to her.
…
The next morning, outside the City Hall.
Lin Shiyu stood outside the doors and she spotted a Bentley stopping in front. The car door was opened and Fu Qinglun alighted from the car.
“Did you bring the documents?” Lin Shiyu asked.
Fu Qinglun’s eyes were on the ravishing beauty in front of him, he nodded his head in response. “I’ve brought them.”
“Let’s head inside then.” Lin Shiyu stretched her legs out and walked up the steps.
Fu Qinglun could only watch her from the back and feel a sinking feeling in the pit of his stomach. She had nothing else to say to him other than talk about their divorce.
Was he going to lose her already?
Like this?
Once they entered the City Hall, she would never be his Mrs Fu again.
Fu Qinglun suddenly stretched out his arm and grasped her wrist.
Lin Shiyu was jolted out of her tracks and she turned around, asking, “Young Master Fu, what are you doing?”
Fu Qinglun smiled, his handsome face turned gentle. “Shi’shi, I’ve just recalled that we didn’t have a honeymoon trip. Why don’t we take this chance to have a make-up honeymoon trip before our divorce?”
Honeymoon trip?
Lin Shiyu furrowed her brows.
“Shi’shi, I agree to our divorce, but before that, I want you to go on a honeymoon trip with me. Just give me three days of your time, just three days will be enough. We’ll be back for the divorce decree at this exact time, three days later.”
