Chapter 981: Three Years Ago, He Lost a Leg Because of Her

Xue Niang sneered, blood spilling all over her shirt but she didn’t back down. “Hmph! Scum, you think that I’ll be afraid of you?”

If Delia hadn’t dodged, she would have spat all over his face.

Delia’s face darkened. “It seems you’re asking for trouble.”

Holding a knife in his hand, he waved it in Xue Niang’s direction, aiming for her face.

Xue Niang didn’t even blink, she only glared at him ferociously.

Delia suddenly stopped, revealing an eerie smile as he threw the knife in his hand away. “Xue Niang, I know that you’re not scared of death, why don’t I find you another way to die. I have my underlings here, I’m going to get all of them here queue up and gang rape you until you die.”

Xue Niang was stunned, she blanched at his words. Gritting her teeth while quivering, she shouted, “You bastard!”

Delia glanced at his underlings. “I’ll hand this woman to you now. Settle everything.”

“Thank you Master Delia.”

The two underlings went forward, stretching out their hands to tear Xue Niang’s clothes apart.

“Get lost!” Xue Niang’s hands were both broken and she couldn’t move. All she could do to retaliate was to bite one of the underlings.

“Sl*t!”

One underling raised his arm, giving Xue Niang one tight slap on her face.

Xue Niang could only lay on the ground helplessly, a full mouth of blood dripping out of her mouth. She started to lose the focus in her eyes as she just lay there, being humiliated by the men as she revealed a wry smile, appearing extremely pitiful.

Delia looked at Xue Niang with a creepy grin, those who dared to betray him would only end up like this.

A gust of wind suddenly approached. Delia looked with the corner of his eyes, it was An’an. She sprung up from the bed and charged towards him.

Delia dodged her.

An’an changed her target, moving towards the two underlings. She lifted her leg, kicking one of the underlings in the crotch while striking the other underling with her hand on the back of his neck, her actions swift as lightning.

The two underlings fainted in a matter of seconds.

An’an’s entire set of moves were quick and precise.

Delia instantly whipped out his gun, aiming at An’an’s right leg. Bang!

The bullet went inside her right leg, she knelt on one knee.

Blood dripped down her calves, her silky hair cascading over her shoulders while complementing her beauty. An’an slowly lifted her eyes, looking at Delia.

She stuck out her thumb, pointing it downwards, showing her blatant provocation and disdain for him.

Delia’s face darkened.

“Master Delia, what’s the matter?” Many underlings charged over.

Delia raised his hand, signaling for them to leave. He glared at An’an, just like a predator eyeing its prey. Gu An’an was really his cup of tea.

He couldn’t bear to let her die yet.

An’an got up, staggering over to Xue Niang. She rested Xue Niang’s head on her arm.

Xue Niang’s clothes had been torn open. An’an helped her to put them on properly, buttoning up her clothes and tying the straps back. She wanted to help preserve Xue Niang’s last shred of dignity.

Xue Niang looked at An’an, attempting to move her already broken arms. She laughed, her voice soft as she was feeble. “Please just help me out, I’m in so much pain… I can’t live any longer. Please just help me end this, I don’t want those jerks to humiliate me anymore.”

An’an was reminded of the first time she met Xue Niang. Though she had already aged, she was still beautiful nonetheless, especially when she smiled.

An’an held Xue Niang’s hand, grasping it tightly.

“I’ve always wanted to know… what kind of woman he would like. It was only after I met you that I learned… he liked girls who were pure and clean with no tarnishes…”

Xue Niang lifted her head to look above her, as though she had seen a blue sky on the ceiling. “My next life, I want to become a pure and clean woman with no tarnishes too.”

Xue Niang closed her eyes, tears dripping down from the corners of her eyes. By now, she had started vomiting blood, the bleeding was persistent and never ending. Xue Niang could no longer live, she was tortured by too much pain.

An’an’s lashes fluttered, she stretched out her cold hand to suffocate Xue Niang.

“You will, you definitely will.”

An’an burst into tears, she couldn’t stop crying. She was suddenly reminded that she didn’t even know Xue Niang’s real name.

Within moments, Xue Niang finally stopped breathing, she didn’t even struggle a bit when An’an suffocated her. She had a smile on her face while she was in the last moments of her life, her mind filled with the scene of her meeting Lu Yan for the very first time twenty years ago.

He was suave, tall, muscular, powerful, lawless but he had a gentleness in his gaze despite having experienced the vicissitudes in life.

That was great.

Xue Niang was gone.

An’an hugged Xue Niang tightly in her arms, feeling Xue Niang’s lifeless body turn cold and stiff. She placed Xue Niang down before wiping away all of the blood and tears on Xue Niang’s face. The one thing Xue Niang wanted to in her life was probably… to be clean.

Delia walked over. “Tsk tsk, even if you don’t say it, I would have already made a correct guess. Da Shan is Blood Eagle, am I right?

“Xue Niang died for Blood Eagle, without any regrets. Three years ago, Shi Tou of the Blood Forces fell for one of my female spies’ tricks. My spy held a dagger and sliced Shi Tou’s flesh, piece by piece. Shi Tou refused to reveal even a word about Blood Forces. Even An Xi and Li Si were caught by me, they were able to persevere even when facing such torturous treatment. I just don’t understand it, what kind of charm does Blood Eagle have, such that these people are willingly dying for him?”

An’an continued tearing up, giving Delia a wan smile as she looked at him. “You’ll never understand what’s good about him.”

“Ha.” Delia laughed. “Speaking frankly, I do respect Blood Eagle for his prowess. He’s the only person I’d consider as my opponent in this world.”

Delia then took out his right eyeball. “Look, he stabbed my right eye three years ago. I’ve waited so long to settle my scores with him.”

It was only then An’an realized Delia had an artificial eye installed. He had been blinded in the right eye three years ago.

“You can never match up to him, because he isn’t fighting alone. He has such strong willpower in his heart, so strong that you can never defeat him,” An’an said resolutely.

“If he’s really that formidable, how would he be disabled in the right leg? I was the one who shot him in the right leg. Oh right, I’m reminded of an incident. Three years ago, when he came over to save Li Si, he rushed over from the hospital. I overheard their conversation when I ambushed them. Blood Eagle had just undergone a bone marrow transplant. Now that I think about it, the heavens really blessed me, haha. What amazing luck I have.”

An’an froze. What did he just say?

Lu Yan underwent a bone marrow transplant in the hospital three years ago?

But… why?

Did she use his bone marrow for her surgery three years ago?

Now that she thought about it, she could finally connect the dots.

Three years ago, he was the one who saved her. He was the one who gave her a new life. He even lost a leg because of her!

He was like this because of her!
