Chapter 108: Side Chapter – 01

“Hm? Isn’t that the Yun Clan’s third son, Yun Feng?” a twelve-year-old kid asked his friend upon noticing an eight-year-old kid who was walking alone in the streets of the capital.

“Oh, you’re right. That is him,” his companion, who was around his age, said.

The twelve-year-old kid had a wicked smile on his face as he slowly walked in Yun Feng’s direction.

“My father said that our clan and the Yun Clan are political enemies. I’m going to see what’s so amazing about their clan that it can even compete with our clan.”

“What are you going to do?” his companion asked him, wondering what he was up to.

“Nothing. I’m just going to talk to that kid for a bit.”

Yun Feng tilted his head when he noticed two older kids blocking his path as they stood haughtily in front of him.

“Uhm, do you need something from me?” he politely asked. He was slightly afraid of these two because they were much bigger and more intimidating than him.

“Kid, you’re from that loser clan, Yun Clan, right?” the bigger of the two kids said.

Yun Feng had observed that the bigger kid was the one with a higher position among them since he was taking the lead while the other one was merely watching faithfully at the side.

He let out a frown as he told the two, “I think there’s some misunderstanding here. Our clan is not a loser clan.”

“It is one, alright? My father told me so. It is a sick, greedy clan whose members kill each other for profit!” he mocked Yun Feng while his companion nodded along.

“Our clan is not like that!” Yun Feng said angrily.

“So you say but if you ask anyone from the older generation, they won’t disagree! The fact that your loser clan is sick and greedy is common knowledge in the older generation!”

“That’s not true! Take that back!”

'How dare these two slander the Yun Clan?! He wasn’t going to let them off!' he thought angrily.

Yun Feng threw a fist towards the bigger kid’s face but his fist got caught by the bigger kid’s grip easily. He was then beaten up by the two without him being able to do anything to stop them since he was no match to them.

“Hey,” a cold icy voice sounded out, making the body of the two kids freeze.

They stopped beating Yun Feng as they looked behind them with difficulty.

The two saw a pretty girl looking at them with a cold gaze.

“B…big brother!” Yun Feng happily called out when he saw who it was.

‘Brother?!’ the two were surprised to hear that from Yun Feng’s mouth. That pretty girl was actually a guy and the twerp’s elder brother?

“What exactly do you think are you doing to my little brother?” the sixteen-year-old Yun Ling asked.

“T-This…” the bigger kid’s companion had a hard time finding what words to say. He was pretty nervous since Yun Ling was older than him.

“What are you scared of? He’s only one person while there are two of us! He won’t be able to do anything to us,” although the bigger kid was also somewhat nervous, he put on a tough facade as he encouraged his companion.

Yun Ling narrowed his eyes at them.

“Is that so?”

The two kids were laying on the ground with bruises on their faces as Yun Lng and Yun Feng slowly walked away from the scene.

Yun Feng told him what the bigger kid said to him.

“Those kid’s words had some truth to it. Our clan had a bloody experience in the past when our grandfather was still young,” Yun Ling began explaining to his younger brother what his father told him about that part of history in the Yun Clan.

After that, Yun Feng asked, “Big brother, are you not afraid that they are going to tell on their fathers and come after us?”

“Them?” Yun Ling had a scornful look on his face. “I know those kids’ fathers. They are already so old yet are still in the Core Formation Realm. You don’t need to be afraid of those trashes.”

Yun Feng had a look of amazement on his face. He didn’t even get scared at the thought of the fathers of those kids coming after him, his big brother was totally awesome.

“Eh, big brother, how did you know their fathers? Could it be they are important people in their clan?”

Yun Ling looked at his younger brother and went speechless. Those kids’ fathers were certainly not important people in their clan. He just happened to know them because he had slept with their beautiful wives a few months ago.

But there was no way he was going to tell his younger brother that.

Never did it cross in Yun Ling’s mind that the reason why that kid’s father was talking bad about the Yun Clan to his son was that he was too angry at the Yun Clan, and mostly to Yun Ling, for sleeping with his wife.
