[You have received the spirit energy of Mutated Leopard Seal - Level 41.]
[You have received 1 point in spirit force.]
"Finally," Viktor muttered after a sigh of relief.
After 3 hours of fighting, Viktor managed to kill a total of 36 seals in a day. When he noticed that the sun was setting, he briefly checked his stats.
[Viktor Romanov]
[Strength - 30]
[Agility - 60]
[Endurance - 42]
[Battle Power - 44]
[Spirit Force - 77]
[Core of Anvil - Stage 4: 0%]
[Earth Realm - High stage]
All of those 36 kills resulted in 2 endurance points and 2 spirit forces being rewarded to him. Viktor would have been elated if those points were given due to something else, but considering how much work he did, the return was not much at all.
It gave nothing more than a little extra to his overall stats, but nonetheless, leveling up little by little was still better than nothing.
As the sun was about to set and the day was getting dark, Viktor hurriedly returned to his yacht and made his way back to the bunker after finishing what he came here for.
As soon as he arrived back at the bunker, he did not waste any time and directly went to shower to clean himself. As he washed down all the blood and sweat on his body, Viktor finally felt refreshed.
Now that his upgrade had finally been settled, it was now time to take care of his other needs.
Viktor started by shaving, then taking care of his hair and skin with his precious lotion before laying himself down on the soft bed. He stared at the ceiling, reflecting on all the events he had faced and thinking about how the world has really changed for him.
Not long after, a knock on the door suddenly sounded, interrupting his thoughts. Following the knock was Barry's voice.
"Young master, dinner is ready."
"All right."
Viktor went out and joined them at a dining table after a long sigh, but to his surprise, only Barry, Torri, and Boris were there. Eva was nowhere to be seen.
Upon noticing that he was looking for someone, Barry informed him that the girl would come later as she was tired from all the cooking and was currently taking shower, cleaning up for a special occasion.
This made Viktor excited about what they were going to have for dinner.
However, when he saw Eva arrive wearing a beautiful silk nightgown, he realized that he seemed to have forgotten about something.
But before he could dwell on the matter, his thoughts were disrupted by Barry coming to serve the food plates on the made-do dining table.
Today's meal was from the meat he brought from yesterday; the seal flesh that he hunted.
Eva and Barry managed to prepare a grilled meal yesterday, and today, they were successful in preparing a stew out of it. It was not particularly bad, but Viktor was used to eating meals made by Michelin-star chefs, hence he was not easy to impress.
He had a large amount of meat and food on his alien ring, which wonderfully did not get rotten after a week's travel. Alas, these delicacies were not easy to find, especially at a time like this.
There was wagyu beef, Iberico pork, filet mignon, salmon roe, and many others, and all of them were still in good condition.
It would be a pity to use them to practice cooking. These ingredients were too rare to be wasted, so he gave them the seal meat for this purpose.
Needless to say, that was not the only reason Viktor chose the seal meat; he did such as it would reflect how feasible it would be for them to remain in this area for an extended period of time.
Even though 2 days had passed, it was still not ideal for Viktor. However, he could see how much the princess really tried, and seeing him turn to look at her, Eva also started to become anxious about how well she did it.
"Don't worry, Eva, you will definitely do better tomorrow," Viktor gently said to cheer her up.
The girl nodded and her spirit uplifted. With a smile, she whispered in his ears, "I will make it up to you tonight."
It suddenly occurred to him that today was already time for their weekly activity schedule again. 7 days had passed since that awful experience, and her words brought a jolt of anxiety to him.
Seeing his surprised reaction, Eva giggled and whispered one more time.
"I feel really awful about last week. Don't worry, tonight is about you, dear."
2 weeks had passed and he only needed 2 more weeks for his quest to be over, so there was no way he could allow that to happen. Hence he racked his brain, and after a few moments, he thought of a way.
In pretense of a celebration of their new life in the bunker, Viktor pulled out a bottle of wine from the alien ring and enjoyed it with the others. Having been unable to enjoy themselves for a while and now that they were safe inside the bunker, the group started to ease up and drank more than they should.
3 bottles of wine and 2 liquor bottles were sacrificed to make sure Eva was wasted.
Viktor picked her up and hurriedly carried her into her room without a hitch, and relief washed over him when he finally put the girl on her bed. He almost went crazy doing his best to focus his gaze elsewhere with the girl's body heat while he was carrying her.
Viktor planned to just tell Eva that they already did it when she woke up in the morning. He just hoped that the girl would believe him and not ask anymore.
Just when he was about to leave her alone, all of a sudden, her hazy eyes slowly opened. The moment their eyes met, Eva gently smiled.
"I am sorry, dear… I am ready…"
The girl took off her clothes without warning, showing her beautiful curves and instantly causing Viktor to freeze in place. He tried his hardest to resist the temptation, and luckily, as soon as Eva finished taking them all off, she lied on the bed and passed out.
Viktor let out a deep sigh of relief. After calming himself, he quickly put on some comfortable clothes for her before moving away from the bed.
Such a sacrifice for his divine skill!
"Damn you, Djinn!" Viktor muttered while gritting his teeth. Even now, he did not dare look at the girl on the bed.
It was already late, but with his groin still unsettled, Viktor decided to busy himself before sleep by returning to the vault and extracting all the leftover gold.
There was still one-third of them left, which weighed approximately 30 kilograms.
[Metal Extraction]
Viktor did not know if it was because he had a higher endurance level or because his core was at a higher stage, but he could clearly feel that it was now easier to do the gold extraction. At this point, Viktor could extract faster with lesser pain.
However, in the past, 90 kilograms of gold could get him nearly 100% metal essence on the third stage, but this time, 30 kilograms of gold could only give him a return of 8% at most.
[328 mid-level metal essence extracted.]
[Metal forged successfully.]
[Core of Anvil - Stage 4: 8.78%]
His current stats had fallen short of what he expected, so he needed more to reach it.
Looks like he really required a significant amount of gold or alien metals.
Taking this into consideration, he decided to take a break from his grinding plan and go back to Arkhangelsk Town the next day.
Soon after he told his companions about his plan, their reaction was quite surprising. They were excited to join him, which let him know how unhappy they really were with their current living condition.
When they arrived at the town, Viktor told his companions to look for any furniture that could be used to light up their bunker when they returned. There must be hundreds of pre-owned items that no one would care about if they were no longer available. The princess would be in charge of it.
As the search for pre-owned goods was handled by the princess, Viktor decided to check on Jessie's progress.
The workshop was bustling with people working. At the moment, other than Bugs and Wade, there were another half a dozen people working for Jessie in the workshop.
When the brown-haired girl saw him, she actually jumped at the chance to speak with him. She was a little taken aback by Viktor's arrival, but it was still quite obvious that she was excited to see him again.
"You're back! And here I thought you were dead already!"
"Haha, why would you say that!?"
"Well, it's been 3 days, silly! Either you were dead or you've gone to another city."
"Well, I'm not leaving until I get my stuff, that's for sure."
"Which is why I thought you were dead! Huh, you made me worry for nothing."
The girl appeared to sincerely care, but with her friendly personality, it was likely that she acted the same way to everyone.
"So, how are things going for you here?"
"Not so good… I'm really sorry, but it might take longer than I thought."
"Hm? How long? Anything I can help to speed it up?"
As soon as Viktor said those words, the smile on Jessie's face became wider. Upon seeing this, he suddenly had a bad premonition.
