He is a fool, is he not?
Of course, he is a fool.
He has to be foolish.
Within my mind, each and every letter of the word ‘fool’ was splendidly emphasized.
I mean, this young man IS a fool, isn’t he?
What on earth is this buffoon of a prince even saying with such a serious look on his face?
The feelings he overlooked out of his fixation to saintesses, he says, but he obviously only came here because I was chosen as the saintess.
Did he really just say that?
How am I supposed to believe in such a barefaced lie?
My heart did not even flutter in the slightest.
I shoved back the arms that the prince offered to me.
‘Your highness, I do not follow your words, sir.’
Pardon me but I couldn’t even understand them in the slightest!
But Maynard looked hurt by the response, and only peered into my face.
‘Aileen… are you crossed?’
Well if you think otherwise, there has to be something wrong with your head!
As all the vexation within my body seemingly caused all my hair to stand on its roots, I steadily marched towards the door of the living room and spoke.
‘Please leave, my dear former fiancée.’
With so much emphasis on the word ‘former’, Maynard’s eye opened wide in shock.
My sour mood reached new all-time heights.
Firman, you are my and only remedy.
After Maynard heavily trotted his feet outside the manor, whether it was due to sheer anger or sadness, at any rate, as all sorts of sentiments swell within my chest, I wept like a child.
While Selma was all flustered by the sight of me bawling my eyes out, Firman timidly patted my head like he was comforting a child, so I got carried away and hugged him with all my might.
Even then, with both my arms wrapped around him, they barely reach each other due to his sturdy build. As I clung to Firman and wailed, the knight awkwardly caressed my back.
‘I don’t care anymore! To hell with that prince!’
When I repeatedly yelled my hatred to the prince, Firman held me tight.
How nice~, but with my head all messed up, there was barely any space in it to savor those dearest pectorals~!
Apparently, after a whole lot of weeping, I slept in tire after that.
It was already night time when I woke up, and what welcomed me was the sight of Firman’s well-ordered masculine face.
(Kyaaaaaa)
This exposure was way too much that it almost made me scream.
Why is Firman here? This is my bed, isn’t it?
While I was panicking, my presence seemingly disturbed his peace and he opened his eyes.
‘Good morning, lady.’
‘Uhm, good morning, to you, sir?’
No no, it’s still night time though!
Seeing me inclining my head in puzzlement, Firman lightly chuckled and rose upright.
‘My apologies, it was because her ladyship refuses to let go.’
As he softly raised his hand, my right arm also follows upwards. Oh my, looks like my hand tugged his sleeves firmly.

He couldn’t free his sleeves so he had no choice but to lie next to me.
What a let down~
Now I’m slightly feeling disappointed.
And my heart was beating fast too. All those excitements were wasted.
Yet again, I turn back slightly peevish.
Firman responded with a wry smile and began patting my head anew.
‘Are you still crossed, lady?’
What am I, a child!?
—Is what I’d like to point out to him, but he was caressing my head so gently that I felt entranced.
Somehow feeling that my want of fawning and adoration will be permitted, I took the moment and rubbed my head to his hand even more, but sir knight reproached me for it.
‘That is no good, lady. When alone with a man, and even more so on a bed, you must not do such a thing.’
But because I was still peevish, I pouted and swelled my cheeks, and brushed my head to his hand even more.
‘Lady Aileen.’
‘…..’
‘Lady Aileen, please.’
‘…No.’
If you really do not like it, you may withdraw your hand away.
You’re asking me to stop, but it is Firman who is still stroking my head nonetheless, is he not?
As I incessantly insisted on my spoiled behavior, Firman leaked a deep sigh overhead.
Not good, have I annoyed him?
When I inadvertently perked up and timidly looked up to him, it happened right then.
I thought Firman withdrew his hand away, but the next thing I noticed was him pressing down on me, and his lips sealing mine.
‘Fir…man…’
‘It’s your fault, lady.’
Firman says as he pecked on my lips from a different angle.
‘Because you provoked me.’
His tongue enters my mouth, and while I was surprised, began its conquest of everything within. As our tongues intertwined, the halls of my teeth moistened over, and my mouth strongly drawn upon, my head began to feel dizzy.
When my breathing became labored, he released me, and I gazed upon him with moist eyes.
‘I want you.’
Being told so straightly filled my head with fervor.
‘Or does the miss, have prior reservations to mind?’
I firmly shook my head to which he responded with a relieved smile.
‘Then, may I have you, lady?’
I softly nodded; my face beet red, and suddenly, I began to be flustered thinking where this would lead, but Firman merely pecked on my lips lightly and narrowed his eyes with so much adoration.
‘Please worry not, I shall settle with only kissing.’
Saying so, he sealed my lips and I was entranced anew.
In the end, Firman kept kissing me until I slept, and when I saw him sleeping next to me the next morning, I was overwhelmed with happiness.
—Make no mistake, the current saintess has no intention to join the royal family.
MV/TL; Okay, I think I botched that one. That was my first time writing(or translating/editing) that kind of stuff, and I don’t think I have a vocabulary rich enough to give it justice. Sorry about that.
