‘Hi Darryl, thank you.

Tonight’s special report, magicians are now amongst us and are causing a major panic. Seemingly super-powered individuals are now roaming the streets breaking into stores and stealing what they can. Many incidents have also been reported of muggings so stay safe. The police have been trying their best to maintain the situation but it seems to be to no avail. These creatures have the ability to shoot fire out of their hands and blink before our very eyes. Trust no one, people in your very neighborhood could be hiding their powers and just waiting for the chance to rob and kill your family. It could be anyone, because they look just like us, but they are not us. If you happen to see such a person, Call the number 1(555)-’

Belle turned off the TV. She wasn’t interested in whatever was on it. A week has passed since she met the strange man and since then she had been thinking about that interaction and its absurdity. It was the morning before her art class and she had been keeping busy working on her next art project.

However, for some reason, her eyes would always end up drifting to the corner of the table where the lantern was. Every now and then, when her body would slump on the table from fatigue, she would play with the handle thinking about if she would ever meet that kind man ever again. She had tried to turn on the lantern again to admire the light that would emit from it but she could not seem to get it to turn on. After some examination, she realized that the lantern did not have any switches, buttons, or even a wick to burn. She finished off her portion of her breakfast and left out the other as she always did. She changed, packed her things, and went off to go to school.

During her lunch break, she ate a yogurt cup which she had packed for herself. She ate by the tree she would always go to. On top of a little hill tucked away in a far part of the school campus. The walk was a bit much for most people, a twenty five minute walk north of the main campus was a bit too much for people to just enjoy their food, but to Belle it was just fine. She enjoyed the walk and the calmness of the hill. From up here, she could see not just the campus and the students bustling about, but also a little bit of the city beyond. “People really do like to travel in packs, don't they.” She thought to herself. She had never really had a group of friends she could call her own, just one weird fella. Sometimes she would daydream what it would be like if things didn’t turn out the way they did. If she brought some friends from school home, what would her family do? Her mother and father probably would try everything they could to embarrass their daughter, and her brother would silently try to help her with anything behind the scenes, cutting her and her friends fruit and checking in on them every now and then. But that was a silly waste of time, her parents were gone, and her brother was nowhere to be seen. Even though she knew her parents would never meet her friends, she hoped one day she could at least bring her friends to her brother, maybe even a boy.

She took a big spoonful of her yogurt and delicately placed it in her mouth. She wondered for a bit if the whole “magic” thing she was hearing about on the news was actually real but she thought nothing of it. “People with magical powers? That’s insane. I mean it would be cool if I could get some of that”. She looked down at the masses below and wondered if anyone down there was magical. That’d truly be lucky. She held out her palm as if to conjure a ball of flames. She concentrated hard to no avail. “Lily would think I was so cool if I had magical powers” She thought to herself. If she had magical powers, she wouldn’t have to be in such a bad position. She wouldn’t have to be so poor and lonely. She would…she would…what would she do? Magic isn’t gonna help bring food to the table, magic won't help her paint better. But maybe…just maybe it might help her find her brother.

She ate another spoonful of yogurt. Belle thought back at the guy who she met at the diner wondering what he was up to. How was she going to bring him his lantern back? She also wanted to repay him for his kind deed but that would involve paying him…and she could barely even afford to go back to the diner in the first place. “I wonder what my brother would think of him” She went for another spoonful of yogurt but only got plastic. She brought the cup to her face and gently started licking the cup clean, savoring every last bit of it. As she put the cup down, Belle saw something in the distance running from one side to the campus to the other at breakneck speed. He stopped halfway before reaching the end, ran back from the direction he came from, bowed to the person she assumed he was talking to and at full speed started running back to the other side of the campus. He purchased a giant brown bag from a table laughing and talking until he started looking towards Belle’s direction. At that instant he ran full speed towards Belle not even stopping to catch his breath. Belle knew exactly who this guy was, and braced for impact. In just a few moments, he arrived.

“Hey Belle you would not believe it! They got sandwiches with FRUITS in it, CAN YOU BELIEVE IT?! But they’re only here for a limited time so I snagged a whole bunch for EFFICIENCY.” Belle looked at this man silently. After a moment the man said, “You being sad here as usual?”

It was her friend Ashe. Belle had known Ashe since elementary and since they had very similar lives they got along pretty well. Ashe lost both his parents in a tragic accident when he was a child but he would never speak about what happened that day. They became friends on Mother’s day at school, when during class, kids brought their mothers to help them with crafts. But on that day when they both saw each other not having anyone there, they decided to just quietly help each other. He had just come around to Belle’s favorite spot just to check in on her like he usually does. Ashe was a fairly tall guy standing at a good 6 feet. He was a fairly built individual because of his years of doing various sports in middle school and high school. Every time Belle would see him it would always be in some kinda casual wear. Long T-shirt, sneakers, joggers that would go down to the middle of his calves but sometimes he would wear a puffy vest jacket when it would get cold. Even though Belle and Ashe got along, she never understood Ashe as he was very popular and loved having many friends and got along with almost everyone he talked to. But even though he got along with everyone he would always hang around with her for some reason, ever since they were little.

“Hi Ashe,” Belle responded with a smile. “Yeah, that sandwich is pretty popular in other parts of the world.” Ashe smiled back with his big, close eyed smile and sat beside Belle.

“How are things? Are you doing alright, I feel like I haven’t talked to you in weeks.” Ashe began stuffing his face with sandwiches like a caveman while talking, every now and then exposing the inner mechanism of his wide open mouth full of food. In the middle of his stuffing, he handed a fruit sandwich to Belle. Belle went to reach for the sandwich and stopped just short.

“How much was it?” She asked.

“It’s on me silly.” Ashe replied. Belle gently took the sandwich and Ashe ruffled up her hair with a smile.

“I’m doing alright.” Belle held the sandwich in her hand and stared at it. She noticed it had just strawberries and blueberries with cream inside. Even though it looked delicious, she was too lost in thought to take that first bite.

“Dude, what are you doing?” Ashe had been just staring at Belle silently staring at this slice of sandwich for a few minutes confused. Ashe swiped the sandwich back from her “Is there something in it?” Ashe examined the sandwich for a lengthy half second before immediately devouring it whole.

“Hey I wanted that,” Belle responded, looking like a puppy after having its toy taken away from it. Ashe took out another slice of the sandwich and handed it her way.

“What’s on your mind man? Why are you staring at sandwiches like that?” Ashe said with a mouthful of cream. Even though Ashe said this jokingly, he was genuinely concerned for Belle, knowing that something was definitely amiss. Belle didn’t the best way to respond as she wanted to talk to Ashe about Box but she didn’t know how to talk about her own personal life.

“Someone told me they liked my artwork.” Belle snuck this statement in hopefully not making it a big deal.

“Oh really?! THAT’S AWESOME!! You do got some good art man, the way you do that draw stuff, it’s really something else. Glad to see more people recognizing it.” Ashe took another chomp of his sandwich

“Yeah.” Belle kept eating at the sandwich with no intention to continue the conversation.

“How do you feel about it? Did it finally cheer you up a bit? Did you panic? Did you cry? You cried didn’t” Ashe poked at Belle’s cheeks.

“Yeah I guess it really did.” Ashe stopped poking at her cheeks, he was happy at seeing such a genuine reaction as it was so rare with Belle.

“Is it weird I was scared?” Belle asked. Ashe took out another sandwich and started eating it.

“Hmm? Why would you be scared? They were just being nice. Did they try to do anything with you?”

“No not that. He was just so nice. I don’t know how to explain it but as I was walking away from him everything hurt a bit. For a bit I thought maybe, I’ve been living my whole life wrong.”

Ashe’s eyebrows shot upwards immediately.

“HE ?! A MALE?!?!? HMMMMM?”

“Did you not hear the rest of my sentence? I had a lot more to say.”

“Was he hot?! Was he old and ugly? Did you fall in loooove” Ashe leaned in close and batted his eyes.

This was Belle’s limit. She clenched her fist and slowly raised it up..

“WOAH WOAH WOAH, hey you can’t be swinging those things around, I’m fragile. This isnt middle school anymore, you're too strong for me now.” Belle loosened her fist. For some strange reason, after middle school Belle had an almost inhumane burst of strength come to her. Belle would constantly get into fights when she was younger and would often pick on Ashe for how weak he was even while they were friends. But what started with Belle roughing up Ashe to show him a lesson, ended up one day really damaging Ashe and sending him to the hospital in middle school. Ever since then Belle has never actually raised a fist at Ashe, even though with his size and stature he should be more than well equipped to take a few. To his credit Ashe had become a lot less annoying in the coming years. She took a deep breath and grabbed a stress toy from her bag.

“Yes a male, I can talk to other people too okay I’m not totally inept.” Ashe let out a small pfft. Belle glared at Ashe.

“What?” she snapped back.

“He approached you.”

“Uh-huh.” Ashe sat and contemplated for a while and thought about the situation.

“You didn’t speak for the first 10 minutes did you.”

“Yeah”

“You were anxious when he first came too huh.”

“Uh-huh”

“You reached for the knife didn’t you”

“Yeah eventually”

“And you didn’t get each other’s name”

“Uh-huh”

“And didn’t ask who he is”

“Yeah”

“And you’re saying you’re not inept”

“Yep”

Ashe stared at Belle for a moment. He contemplated what exactly happened between this random guy and Belle for a while but then he remembered something very crucial about Belle. She was an idiot. Ashe sighed deeply and continued.

“Did anything else happen afterwards or was it just kinda like a hi bye thing?” Ashe resumed eating his infinite supply of sandwiches. Belle let go of her stress toy and continued the conversation.

“Yeah he walked me to my- dude how many sandwiches did you buy? he walked me to my house”

At that second Ashes eyebrows shot up. He was not the type that is able to hide his emotions which made him a very honest person, but also very annoying.

“Ooooh la laaaa, a gentleman” Ashe batted his eyes in a mocking manner batted his eyes.

“No, he was really awkward actually.” Bell responded

“Then he’s perfect for you.” Ashe shot up a thumbs up at Belle.

“Shut up, I’ll never meet him again anyway it doesn’t matter.” They both resumed chewing on their sandwiches. Belle chewing straight faced and Ashe smiling so much you could almost see flowers coming out of his head.

“Do you think you’ll remember him if you see him again?”  Belle gave this question a longer thought.

“Probably, he definitely looked unique.”

“What was he wearing? Was he the business type with a suit or did he wear skinny jeans a plain shirt” Ashe leaned in closer

“I don’t know, he wore this long black coat with a bunch of necklaces and bracelets and rings, it was like he was blinged out.”

“Ooooo a rebel.” Ashe winked at Belle. “You know what they say opposite attracts.”

“It was weird, one of his necklaces was a dog, but on fire, and looked almost as if it was staring into my soul.”

Ashe leaned back away. “What’d he look like?” This time Ashe said with a soft smile.

“About our age, average height, nothing special. Almost as ugly as you” Belle said this trying to get a reaction out of Ashe but he was unphased.

“Where did you meet him?”

“Muckers, the diner we always go to.”

“Uh-huh uh-huh,” Ashe seemed to be deep in thought. He fell silent for almost an entire minute which caught Belle slightly off guard. After a while he spoke.

“By the way I’m actually not that ugly. Some people think I’m cute.” Ashe said bashfully. Belle smiled back in relief.

“Sure they do buddy.” Objectively Ashe was a good looking guy, Belle knew this fact too. But since they had been friends for so long she could not see him as anything else.

“I’m out of sandwiches. You let me know how it goes with that dog guy.” Ashe said sadly. He jumped back onto his feet and crumpled up the to-go bag that used to hold his bready delights.

“I will.” Belle looked up at Ashe patting the dirt off his butt as he turned to face her.

“Hey you know if you’re ever in pain, you could always come pay me a visit. You know where I live, you’ve always known it.”

“I will.” Belle responded. Ashe turned to leave.

“Hey!” Belle said. Ashe stopped and turned his head towards Belle. Belle stood up and walked up to Ashe to hold his hand “You’re a good guy Ashe. Thank you.”

“Thanks Belle”

“Get strong, and then get even stronger,” Belle said with a smile.

“Aye aye captain” Ashe saluted to Belle with the sandwich bag holding hand and as Belle let go of Ashe’s hand, she started walking away to gather her things. Ashe felt something in his hand. When he opened it up, inside was a crumpled up five dollar bill.

“Belle it’s okay you don’t gotta pay me back for the sandwich.” By the time Ashe looked up from the money in his hand, Belle was already walking away with all her things. “HEY!!” Ashe waved the bill in the air, “Take your money back!”

Belle looked back at Ashe now and smiled“Wow a five dollar bill, it must be your lucky day.” Ashe couldn’t help but smile.

Belle started heading towards her final class, Art. Ashe had come at a very good time. The interaction she had with the mysterious man had been weighing on her mind and having a chance to talk to someone about it made it feel like a heavy weight had been lifted off her shoulder. She got to her classroom and took a seat. Waves of people soon started coming in and then seemingly randomly, she recognized a familiar guy. A man bedazzled in jewelry walked into the classroom and made eye contact with Belle. There was visual excitement and surprise in his face as he yelled across the room.

“HEY !!”

All the heads that were in the room turned towards the unfamiliar face and stared as the room fell painfully quiet. Eyes stared like daggers at the poor unassuming man as his face became immediately red. He had realized what he had done and just silently stumbled towards Belle with his head down while everyone’s stare followed him. Belle was very confused about what was going on. Belle looked down at the ground pretending to ignore Box. But Box, unrelenting, shimmied his way through the rows of seats to arrive by Belle.

“Hey ! Do you remember me? We met that one time! At the diner.” Box's sentences started trailing off as Belle kept ignoring her pretending to be working on her art piece, but Box noticed something.

“Hey, there’s no paper on your desk.”

Belle stopped and slowly took out a piece of paper to start doodling on it. Belle wanted to speak to Box but she was so utterly embarrassed that she didn’t know what to do. She had never been in this situation. Eventually Box saw that Belle was ignoring her and deciding that he was probably making her uncomfortable he decided to take the empty table to the right of her and keep quiet during the class. As the professor entered the room they told everyone to take out their drawing utensils and start practicing circles. Belle took out her pencil and immediately started doing as she was told. Out of curiosity however, she looked to her right where Box was sitting to see how his progress was. Maybe he had been practicing and getting bette-

He was pouring sweat out from his forehead like it was white water rapids and he had the look of death in his eyes. Belle was confused, did he not know what a circle was? And then when she looked at his table she saw it. One sheet of paper…no pencil. He was a deer in the headlights, stuck not knowing what to do. Belle could see his panic so she went into her bag and got him an extra pencil and handed it over to him. His eyes lit up brightly and he took the pencil away very delicately. Belle went back to work on her circles paying him no mind for a while, but after a few minutes her curiosity kicked back in. ‘I wonder if he…can draw circles’ she thought to herself. Slowly her gaze went back towards Box and saw he had not even started to draw,  instead he was just holding the pencil in his hand in the same delicate fashion staring at it. Even though this slightly annoyed Belle, she couldn’t help growing a little smile.

“You gotta use that to draw, dummy.”

Box jumped in his seat after hearing Belle speak and turned red. He quickly put his head down and started getting back to work. Belle could not stop smiling, this guy really was a big ol idiot. After a few minutes of scribbling, Belle let her curiosity get to her. There were so many questions to be asked.

“How’d you get into this class? I thought registration for classes had already ended.” Howl looked up at Belle in confusion.

“There’s registration for classes?” Belle was stunned. This wasn’t the best top notch art college, but it was still a private institution, and he just…walked into class. He continued, “I remember you said that taking classes might help me with my drawings so I decided to just go to the local college. I wanted to impress you the next time I saw you at the diner, if I saw you at the diner so I thought I just wanted to look a bit into your world” Box looked at Belle while she just looked perplexed.

“So you just walked right in ?” Belle asked

“Yeah…did I do something wrong?”

She didn’t know how to respond to this and tried to get back to her work. Belle, a hardworking student, usually doesn’t let any distraction tear away from her work, but this was different. The same mysterious man she had been thinking about for a week was sitting right next to her. She needed to take a look. Being this close and being in broad daylight she had noticed a lot more details about this man. He was still loaded with accessories, three bracelets on his left, two on his right, his fingers were filled with rings of different colors and creatures one representing a bird, and his many necklaces but the most prominent one resembling a fiery dog. Today, however, unlike the black coat he was wearing he was just wearing a slim white dress shirt and silver slacks. But as she started looking towards his face, she noticed something different.

“Why are you wearing glasses?” Box looked at Belle with a confident smile. He adjusted his glasses proudly and with an arrogant air he responded with

“They’re actually fake, I’m just wearing them because I think it makes me look smart” He had the most smug grin anyone has ever worn on their face and this pissed Belle off the face of the earth. As someone who had struggled with terrible vision, glasses had always brought her ridicule when she was younger which helped her practice her hand to hand combat skills.

“I hate it.” Box’s smile had been completely wiped off. He slowly took off his glasses and placed them on the table. He went back to drawing his circles with a grim look on his face. Belle stared at Box as he continued to draw his circles sadly. She didn’t mean to insult him, she just had such a guttural reaction to him having fake glasses. She wanted to apologize but she felt that the moment had passed and she knew she was being too aggressive. She went back to drawing her circles trying to figure out how to alleviate the situation. Maybe she could help him out with drawing, it takes a long time to perfect such a skill and she had been practicing almost all her life so maybe she could pass her wisdom on to him. She worked up the courage and turned towards Box.

“Hey how are you doing with drawings those circles- OH MY GOD HOW ARE YOU DRAWING THEM SO PERFECT” she grabbed the piece of paper from under Box’s hands to stare at his work in greater detail. He was drawing, what seemed to be, mechanically constructed perfect circles, as if he was using a compass. It was so perfect that it caused Belle to drop a bead of sweat in stress and confusion.

“I draw circles a lot in my life so I just got pretty good at them.”

“Pretty good is an understatement! Oh my god you’re actually amazing!” Box was becoming flushed and nervous again.

“Thank you, I never thought anyone would compliment my circle skills, I guess you never know what could happen in life-“

“I don’t understand why you can’t draw well if you can do this so well.”

Box fell silent, stunned.

“No I mean, you’re not bad, well you kinda are, BUT YOURE TRYING, and that’s a good thing ! Because everyone starts from somewhere! And this skill shows potential because circles are a huge part of drawing! And you’re just so good at circles and it’s so shocking and… I’m sorry.” Now Belle was embarrassed and she quickly went back to drawing her circles.

“Thank you”

Belle was relieved to hear these two words. In those two words she could hear the exact smile this man would always have.

Class kept going and the teacher started going around reviewing people's works. The teacher was going around and telling people what they needed to work on. The teacher got to Belle and gave their usual spiel about how she can improve and how she should use her imagination, but one table over, awaited Box and his…work. Belle was nervous about this because what was waiting for this teacher of multiple decades of experience and training, was what looked to be the coloring pages you would receive at a restaurant. When she got to Box, they went off. Their faces turned red as they screamed at Box first telling him how he’ll never be an artist then inquiring how he even got into the class, eventually kicking him out.

“Sorry, I hope I didn’t let you down.” Box whispered to Belle before he shyly left the classroom.

This frustrated Belle to no end, this guy just genuinely wanted to learn how to draw better and this teacher kicked him out in such a way it turned him into a puppy dog with his tail behind his legs. Every instinct inside of her told her to kick this teacher’s ass but she knew she had to stay silent. But it just felt wrong. She just had to go back and rely on the stress toys she’s got in the bag. After 5-10 minutes she couldn’t hold it and decided to pack her things and leave the class. She went out to look for Box, hoping she got out fast enough to catch up to him. She regretted many decisions during their small interaction and had a lot she had to apologize for while at the same time wanting to thank him for the interaction the previous week. She ran all across the campus trying to find him slowly losing hope. Eventually she would give up her search and walked towards her bike to start leaving for her house. She had already ditched class so in her mind there was no reason for her to stick around. When she arrived at the bike rack, just over a little distance away, by a big oak tree stood Box. But when she found Box, she found him in a weird predicament. He was standing next to a tree with two guys up in his face. They were getting so close to his face, it looked like these two guys were squaring up to fight Box, but Box would not budge.

“What’s wrong with us having a little fun huh? You don’t gotta be a little baby boy and get in our way. You got something to say?.” These guys were clearly trying to pick on Box but he remained straight as an arrow, unmoving from his ground. They kept lightly shoving Box and messing with his hair.

Box responded, “Sorry I didn’t want to get in your guys' way. I love fun too! I do this thing where I practice magic and that’s REALLY fun. And I think personally that’s way more fun than what you guys are doing right now.”

“What, so you’re some sort of magician?”

“Yeah! watch this!”

Box started fumbling around in his pockets. These guys were clearly not small by any metrics but not particularly big at all either. Standing at a staggering 5’8, they were probably the type of dudes that would go to the gym once a week to only spend half the time on their phones bragging about how they were at the gym. But even still these guys were big enough that if they were to throw a punch, it would definitely hurt. . ‘What was he trying to prove? He could just avoid this confrontation very easily by moving out of the way’ Belle thought. Belle moved in closer to try to diffuse the situation. Box took out a cane from his pants and took off a cap which revealed hidden flowers inside.

“Tadaaaaa”

WHAM. And just like that Box was on the ground. One of the guys had delivered a deadly right hook straight to Box’s face. Without even a moment to think, Belle ran up and swang right back at the same man landing a bone crushing blow to the man’s face knocking him out col, and without a moment of rest, she swung her leg around sweeping the other to the ground, catching him mid descent and throwing his body into the ground knocking the wind out of him. He picked up the man by the collar and kept bashing him into the ground repeatedly.  She felt a hand grab her shoulder, thinking it was the first man she had punched, she turned around with a fist cocked and ready only to find Box standing there pinching his nose with that same smile.

“I think that’s enough.”

Belle lowered her fists and looked towards the men in disgust as they were both writhing in agony on the floor still after the beating they took. She hadn’t hit them nearly as hard as she could have but they were probably just pretending they were in the most excruciating pain so they didn’t have to get up to face her and instead just opted to slowly get back onto their knees and crawled away from the altercation. She turned back to Box to realize just how much his nose was bleeding and took out a napkin to try to stop the blood loss.

“Are you alright? What happened?” Belle asked.

“I got punched in the face.” Box replied. Belle stared at him while tending to his wound.

“Well yeah I saw that but why did they punch you.”

“Oh! Well after I got kicked out of the class, I was about to leave the school but I saw your bike so I thought I’d hang out here a bit so I could say hi to you after you got out of class. But then from the corner of my eyes I saw those two guys laughing at something on the ground so I went over to check it out and found out they were throwing rocks at that little guy, so I wanted to step in.” Belle looked over to the ground to where Box started pointing to find the little guy Box was referring to was a baby squirrel. It had probably fallen from the tree and was left stranded until the mother squirrel would come. Box tugged Belle’s shirt to signal her to take a few steps back and from a fair distance away, ducked down and just stared at this little squirrel. They looked over in silence for a little while until eventually from the tree above came down another squirrel. It was hesitant at first, rapidly checking over its shoulders to observe its surroundings. But eventually, when it felt the area was safe, it made a mad dash towards the baby squirrel, picked it up and escaped back into the branches above.

“Well there’s a happy ending ain’t it.” Box had a smile plastered on his face. He got up while holding the napkin against his still bleeding nose. He looked over at Belle who still had a stunned and perplexed look on her face.

“I thought class wasn’t gonna be over for a while.” This prompted Belle to snap back into reality.  She forgot why she was looking for Box for a moment.

“Are you alright ?” Belle asked.

“Well I got punched in the face so not that well I guess.”

“No you dumbass I’m- You got chewed out pretty hard by the teacher. I just wanted to check in on you after that.” Box looked back at Belle.

“Thank you” Box put out his hand to pull Belle up from her squatted position and she stumbled onto her feet. “I appreciate it. You know I realized though from being there, maybe art isn’t for me. I think it’s amazing viewing how people see the world. Everything they create, it’s truly special. But I have my passions and they have theirs.”

“Keep drawing at home if you want though.”

“I will.”

Belle started walking towards her bike. She thought back on something Box said earlier.

“Why were you waiting by my bike?” She asked.

“Oh I just remembered our homes were in similar directions so I was wondering if you wanted to walk home together. I just wanted to ask you a question and wanted to see more of your work. Don’t have to though, if you can’t I will just” Box signaled a moving motion with his body. Normally Belle wouldn’t have minded going to walk with Box normally, he trusted him enough and he was a nice enough guy. But there was someone she had to see after school after every art class.

“Not today sorry.”Belle could see the look of disappointment in his eyes, but even still responded with a smile.

“Oh sorry, I’ll just get out of your way.” Before he could even move however Belle shot back.

“What did you wanna ask me?”

“Oh! Your name. I don’t think I ever got a chance to ask you for your name.” Box responded.

“Belle.”

“I’ll be sure to remember it.” Box smiled as he started walking away. He looked back after he was a fair distance away and started waving at Belle and she waved back but merely with her hand. Box had turned the corner before Belle had stopped waving. She realized this entire time she had never given him her name. “Why would he want my name? What would he gain other than a simple word anyways.” She thought to herself. She went to mount her bike and started heading out.
