Chapter 1: Prologue

 

Night without a moon or stars. The weather feels gloomy while dark thunder clouds are rolling with lightning in between.

 

Inside a hospital, a young lady wearing a white doctor coat, laying on her table falls asleep. She mumbled in her sleep.

 

“Don’t kill him! Run!!”

 

Her forehead and back is covered with cold sweat, and with a shout, she wakes up startled.

 

Rubbing her forehead, she noticed her sweat. 

 

“It’s this dream again. Maybe I’m too tired lately.” Yu XinYue said while massaging her temples.

 

Yu XinYue stood up while gathering her stuff and put it inside her cupboard.

 

Yu XinYue is a young lady from a worker class family. After years of studying, her hard work paid off and she graduated from the best medical school in the country as one of the best students.

 

With average features and body shape, no one noticed her when she walked within the crowd. Unlike her sister, Feng Zhi Jiu who is so beautiful, or another sister, Han Luoye who is so lively and cute, the only thing that she is good at is study. 

 

Reason for her pursuit in the medical field is to cure her sister, Feng Zhi Jiu’s sickness. That’s why she learned both eastern and western medicine. She even learned traditional acupuncture from an abbess.

 

After making a round to check on her patients, Yu XinYue walked to her office. Looking at the clock on her wrist, it’s already past midnight.

Shutting down her laptop and taking her bag, Yu XinYue walked to the door and turned off the light.

 

Hospital at night is so silent. Disinfectant smells so heavy. But, she likes it here.

 

After driving for an hour, Yu XinYue reached their house. Parking her car and getting off, Yu XinYue noticed that the lights at her sister's room were still turned on.

 

“These two really.. already so late and they still haven’t gone to sleep. Really need a scolding!” Yu XinYue grumbles while walking to the door.

 

The moment Yu XinYue pressed the door’s code, she heard a loud crackling behind her. Before she managed to turn around, she felt a heavy strike from above her. That strike brought her a pain that was worse than death. Yu XinYue felt her soul get ripped apart and her body burned to ashes. She lost consciousness.

 

Her soul shot out from her body in a matter of seconds and went to the night sky before appearing in a space without time and matter and floating silently there. Suddenly the space got ripped open and another soul floated beside her. Her soul is pure white with some purple glittering around it, while golden particles can be seen sometimes.

 

While another soul is pure black without any color. No Light can brighten this soul. Only dark red clouds and purple crackling keep rotating around it. When both of those souls touch each other, the suction force forms and pulls these souls together. They rotated around each other while moving closer and closer, until they merged into one. 

 

When they rotate faster and faster, the rainbow color glows from the middle of it. When the rainbow color becomes so bright, it explodes into billions of particles that shoot to all directions at once.

 

Those particles form stars and become a universe. Time starts moving for the first time in this space. That white and black souls become transparent and slowly dissipate until only a tiny part of it remains. The white soul shot to the left, while the black soul went in another direction.
