Han Yu stood in the center of a platform, looking at the star map in front of him. Suddenly, a golden star and a purple star shine, forming a connection with each other. Looking at the movement of the stars, his eyes darkened.

 

"I didn't expect that he would actually accept her as a disciple, and give his soul imprint to her." He said in a low voice. His lips thinned, forming a harsh line.

 

With a wave of his hand, the star map disappeared as he left the star platform.

In the cave at the bottom of the lake, Yu Xinyue is sitting in a lotus position. After being accepted as a disciple by Wujue, her cultivation manual was modified by him, and it became much easier for her to practice. In less than a month, she was able to advance from the seventh level of Qi Gathering to the tenth level.

 

When she touched the barrier between Qi Gathering Realm and Foundation Establishment Realm, she stopped. Before cultivating, her Shifu instructed her to stop when she touched the barrier and go out from her seclusion. She slowly opened her eyes and exhaled a cloud of turbid air.

 

Standing up, she cast a dirt removal spell and walked out of the cave. As soon as she walked out of the lake, she saw her Shifu standing by the lake. She hurriedly walked over and said, "Disciple pays respect to Shifu. Shifu, did you know that this disciple will come out today?"

 

Wujue looked at her and said, “Go inside the formation and try to break through. Weishi will guard you.”

 

“Yes, Shifu.” She walked towards the formation, sat on the ground, and began to try to break through. She used her spiritual qi and tried to pass through the blocked meridians.

 

After an unknown amount of time, she finally felt that the barrier finally cracked. Sweat rolled down her chin and dripped onto the ground. After countless attempts, the barrier was finally broken.

 

Boom!!

 

With the sound, her spiritual qi poured out from her dantian, scoured her meridians that were now unblocked, and returned to her dantian after cycling around her body. Before she could relax, she heard her Shifu say, “The tribulation clouds are here.”

 

Crack! Boom!!

 

Rumbling of the thunder rolling in the sky could be heard clearly. The skies darkened and dark clouds hover above the peak of nothingness. Wujue stood near her while looking at the sky with a frown. 

 

Usually the tribulation lightning for breaking through the foundation establishment realm are only 18 ordinary tribulation lightnings. If the person who breaks through holds a special fate, a rare phenomenon can happen. But it was the first time for him to feel such heavy pressure of the Heavenly Dao coming from the Foundation Establishment Realm tribulation lightning.

 

He quickly created more formations to protect her. His hands got faster and faster as he felt the pressure from the heavenly Dao building up. In the next second he completed the last formation, the first tribulation lightning struck down at Yu Xinyue.

He looked at the sky with his pale face covered with a layer of sweat, and saw that the tribulation cloud was slowly dissipating.

 

As the tribulation cloud dissipated, an old voice carrying the power of the heavenly Dao resounded in his mind. 

 

‘Lv Nianzhen, her soul shouldn't be here. You can't protect her forever.’

 

With a flick of his palm, the cyan sword disappeared. He turned around and saw his disciple lying unconscious on the ground with a pale face and blood dripping from the corners of her lips. 

 

‘Heavenly Dao, you shouldn’t care too much about my business.’

 

He walked towards her, bent down and held her body, before checking her pulse. After Wujue sent his spiritual energy into her body for a moment, Yu Xinyue finally regained consciousness. Her eyelashes fluttered as she tried to open her heavy eyelids. As soon as she opened her eyes, she saw her Shifu’s pale face.

 

“Shifu, disciple is unfilial and causes your injuries.” She said weakly.

 

"No matter. Weishi will bring you back." As he said, he picked her up and flew back to the bamboo house.
