Riding on the back of my panda, I had a small little thought. And I came to the conclusion that I have to stop by the adventurer’s guild, just in case. I’m not positive the town’s people saw Blue-Eyes, but I should still inform the guild that it is my summon. Times like this make me wish I had something smaller to fly around on. I guess I did get Hyozanryu so I could try that. I also have Cyber Falcon, but I think I’ll give that to Christina when she becomes the dungeon master. If that gives her the ‘Card Summoner’ skill.

The ride to the town’s gate didn’t take as long on a panda as it did in a carriage. And the panda was a lot more enjoyable. If it was easier to stay on him, I would’ve probably thrown a sleeve on him, but for now Overdrive is still better. As long as I buy a cushion for the seats.

A little before the gate, I unsummoned my panda and walked the rest of the way. I know the gate guards know me, but it's still better not to have them pointing spears at me.

“Hello Brian!” The guard called out to me. I know that guard.

“Hello Mario. Is this the only gate you work at?” I asked.

“Well yes, but actually no. I just prefer the south gate as it’s the closest to home.” He told me.

“I see. Understandable. By the way, you didn’t happen to see anything strange in the south-west?” I asked him.

“South-west? No, I don’t think so.” He told me. “I’ve not had any reports about anything in that direction either. Why? Is there something I need to know?”

“No, it’s fine. I was just playing around with a summon and I was wondering if it was visible all the way here. But it appears to be fine.” I told him.

“Might I ask what summon? Would it be that bad if it was seen?” He responded with a question.

“A dragon. And not the black one I used when the wyverns attacked, but a white one.” I answered honestly. “I just wanted to know if it could have been spotted from town. I did spot the town from its back, so I thought maybe.”

“You rode a dragon!?” Mario seemed surprised.

“Yes, why not.” I answered.

“Well, I guess summoners with dragons are known to do that.” He gave in. “But dragon riders are still rare.”

“Everything about me is rare. Get used to it.” I responded. “And if I had to guess, summoners with dragons are rare as well.”

“Yes they are. And ones with multiple dragons are even more rare. How many dragon summons do you have, if you don’t mind me asking?”

How many do I have? I don’t really know. I have Blue-Eyes, Red-Eyes and Hyozanryu. Do I have others? Well, let’s just say three for now.

“I have three.” I told him.

“Impressive as always.” Mario responded.

“Thank you. The Bakula company workers saw my dragon by the way, so they might give you a report about it when they get here. Just know if they talk about a white dragon flying around the forest area, it was probably mine.” I said to Mario.

“Thank you for telling me that. Now I won’t have to panik on the news, when they come.” Mario responded.

“I’ll be heading to the guild, so if there are any major issues, I’ll probably be there for a little while.” I told Mario and headed into town.

“Sure. Take care.” He said as I walked into town.

The guild wasn’t busy, yet. There were only a handful of adventurers present. I recognized one group. It was Kurt’s party. Or not a party. You know, the guys who were at the Dark Magician pedestal earlier today.

I guess I could go talk to them, but first I should warn the guild staff about the possible dragon report.

The younger receptionist from the morning was still working the counter, so I decided to go up to her.

“Welcome back, Brian. Is there something I can help you with?” She greeted.

“I just wanted to drop a quick report. I was playing around with a dragon summon in the south-west today, so if a report comes in of a white dragon flying around in that area, it was me.” I quickly told her.

“I see, so a white dragon in … WHAT?!”

She seemed to be processing the information and then her thoughts caught up to her.

“Yes, a white dragon over the south-west forest. It was mine. No need to worry if some reports come in.” I told her again, trying to calm her down.

“...I’ll make a note about it…” She gave in.

“Thanks. By the way, what’s your name?” I asked.

“I’m Maiko. But just call me Mai.” Mai introduced herself.

“Well it’s nice to know your name, Mai.” I said to her.

“Yes. I understand how you can feel as you are known by almost everyone, but you must not know many people.” Mai told me.

“You understand my pain so well.” I said to Mai.

“I need to get to work. Please excuse me.” Mai said as she left the counter. She was heading for the stairs. I guess to report to the guild master. Or would he even be the guild master anymore? Didn’t he resign and only come back temporarily? Well, it shouldn’t affect my life, so I’ll just let it be. I guess I still haven’t apologized to him, but at the same time, he is the one that overreacted and didn’t do his job, so… I’ll just say it was his fault.

I made my way over to the table that Kurt and his buddies were sitting at.

“Mind if I sit down with you?” I asked.

“Brian.” Kurt saw me and said. “Please do.”

I sat down and asked them. “How did things go with that moron?”

“With Len. We carried him here and told everyone he passed out from the pain as you instructed. We also said you are the one that healed him.” Kurt explained.

“Is he still out?” I asked.

“No. He fled home. After he woke up, he tried arguing that you attacked him, but no one believed him. Then he told everyone what actually happened, and everyone said he needs to quit being an adventurer if that is how he treats his team members. Then he just ran.” Kurt informed me.

So the trap worked. And I didn’t even need a trap card for it.

“Well, how are things with you four? Planning on starting up a party?” I asked.

“There is no point at the moment. With Zayaan introducing a new system for the boars, it’s no longer necessary to be in a party to make money.” Kurt said.

So he already had time for something like that? Impressive. He must have had a plan beforehand and he just applied it as soon as he had the power.

“Yeah, now it’s easier for us to make money, so we can buy better equipment.” One of them said.

“And then we can hunt some real monsters.” Another one continued.

“I see. Good luck.” If they keep up this drive, they could become good adventurers. They might be exploring my dungeon in no time.

The four of them quickly took a look at each other, before Kurt asked me a question.

“Sir Brian, would you help us train?” He asked.

“Train? In what way? I’m not teaching you summoning magic, if that’s what you are after.” I told them.

“Not that. We heard you have a swordswoman as a summon. We were hoping to get a lesson from her.” Kurt specified.

Swordswoman? Does he mean Performance of Sword? I guess some adventurers might know about it and she even had practice matches with some adventurers yesterday.

“That’s fine.” I told them. “But is there a good place for it?”

“There is some free space behind the guild. It’s not exactly a practice ground, but it’s used like one.” Kurt told me.

“Sure. Let’s go there then.” I said and we made our way to the backyard of the guild.

I followed their not-party outside and around the building. The space behind the guild reminded me a little of a parking lot.

“So there is a space like this.” I said quietly.

“Did you say something?” Kurt asked.

“Nothing important. I’ll summon my swordswoman now.” As I said that, I cleared my sleeve, activated my DiaDhank and pulled out the card I needed.

“Performance of Sword.” I said to summon my monster.

This time, the summoning looked like any other summoning, except that the card Performance rose from was blue, not the usual yellow or orange color. I guess the cards they appear from differ in color. If I get a fusion monster, it should rise from a purple card. And  synchro’s from white and so on. I wonder if Slifer would come from a red card. I guess its card is red only in the anime, not in real life.

I heard some wows from the adventurers as my summon appeared.

“Master, what can I do for you?” She asked.

“The four of them wanted a lesson from you, so could you teach them something?” I told her.

“Sure.” She seemed to get more lighthearted as she heard her job. “I’ll do that.”

She turned to face the adventurers. “Are you ready? This lesson won’t be easy. You can still run away.”

I saw a few of them look a little intimidated. Is she using a skill to intimidate them? Or is it just natural for her?

Well, that doesn’t really matter to me. I’ll just head to the side and relax. Or I guess I can use this time for some telekinesis practice. Yeah, let’s do that.
