Chapter 136: Aunty Has Prepared The Jet For You!

Xia Sha disregards the weird feeling as she planned a way to trapped Meng Ran to save Xia Xiang. She ordered Xia Xiang to register at the rehabilitation center as soon as possible without being noticed by anyone. 

The Xia Corporation is doing great these days after years of declining. The competitor could use these issues to damage the public opinion of the company. Xia Sha didn't want this to happen. The company is her baby.

Xia Sha also confirmed that the ring, indeed, belongs to Pang Ze Tian. According to Xia Xiang, her mother has lost the ring for three months, and Pang Ze Tian has visited Yan Xi two days before Christmas. Thus, Pang Ze Tian didn't know it's in Yan Xi's possession before. 

Her speculation about someone behind the scene is likely correct. It just she can't determine the suspect because they didn't have much clue. 

Looking at the little mindmap she made to solve this case, Xia Sha felt helpless. There is nothing she could do but wait for the other person to scheme again. She hates it when she has to be the passive party. 

Xia Sha then closed her tablet and stretched her body. That is when the corner of her eyes found her abandoned phone behind the cushion. Recalling what she is doing before Xia Xiang come, her heart dropped to the floor.

"Damn! I forgot about him!" She cursed subconsciously before rushing to call Guan Xian back. Three hours have passed after Xia Xiang comes. Sure enough, he has gone to sleep. 

Xia Sha bites her lower lips as she is pondering to send a text message and apologize. But when she read what she wrote on the chatbox, she might have overreacted. She hesitantly clicks on the bubble chat and un-send her message. 

That is when Guan Xian reply to her message.

My Handsome Boyfriend: Why un-send?

Xia Sha: "..." 

Xia Sha: Why didn't you answer my phone call?!

My Handsome Boyfriend: Why did you end my call?

Guan Xian gritted his teeth when he realized she left him on read! He is so angry that he kicked the blanket, revealing himself holding a phone when Mother Guan came. 

Mother Guan's gaze falls on the phone before tilting her head at Guan Xian. Guan Xian's face turn horror as he shoved his phone below the pillow. 

"Guan Xian, what is that?" Mother Guan shows her perfect gentle smiles as she approached Guan Xian slowly. 

"Mom, you misunderstand me," Guan Xian smiles to hide his wariness of his mother. 

"Ah, misunderstand you. How come? I blatantly see you holding your phone-ah? Did I need to make an appointment with an ophthalmologist?" Her mother's tone was as sweet as honey, increasing Guan Xian's awareness of danger. 

He moves his back, protecting the pillow and his phone. 

Mother Guan open her palm, moving her finger in supremacy. 

"Where is it? Give it to me," she calmly asked. 

Mother Guan is staring straight at Guan Xian, making him nervous. He swallowed his saliva and decided to take the old route. He quickly kneeled on the bed and lowered his head to mother Guan. 

"Mom! Have some mercy on me! I was worried about Xia Sha because someone comes to beat her up!" 

"WHAT? Who dares to beat my daughter-in-law? Did you lie to me? I guarantee that you will be dead if you lie only to save your ass!" Mother Guan's pretentious calmness was gone. She looks fierce as she narrowed her eyes at Guan Xian. 

Guan Xian shook his head frantically. He used his worried expression and solemnly answered.

"I did not lie, I swear. Xia Sha has to live in her friend's apartment to hide this from aunty Shen. Mom, you don't tell aunty Shen like the KFC matter in the past. Xia Sha will kill me."

Guan Xian sighed and shook his head as if it's a helpless case. Guan Xian thought that Mother Guan look at her devastated son and felt it would be unreasonable to confiscate his phone right now. 

"Is that why you hide under your blanket? To check on her?" Mother Guan asked. 

"Yup."

"Then Xia Sha's safety is guarantee now?" 

"Yup," he replied confidently. 

Mother Guan nods her head, seems satisfied with his answer. Mother Guan smiles and stretched her hand back. Guan Xian had a foolish grin on his face look at her mother's empty hand confusedly. 

He blinks rapidly and innocently asked, "what?" 

Mother Guan's calm composure has come back as she grins at her son. "Give me," she ordered. 

The smile on Guan Xian's face disappear. He dropped his stupid act and groaned. 

"Mom! I'm not a child anymore! Why did you do this to me?! Mom, I beg you, give me leniency this time, okay? I promised you I wouldn't even bring my phone if Xia Sha joins our family holiday next time." 

He tries to beg. Guan Qian Si's face softens, but she shook her head decisively. 

"No. A rule is a rule."

"..." 

"Mom, I'm twenty-"

"Do you want me to disown you? I could do it now. I only need to abandon you here."

Guan Xian takes a deep breath and pulls out his phone under the pillow. His heart's felt heavy as he watched his mother shove his phone inside her pocket. 

"I only asked fourteen days over three hundred and sixty-five days a year. I knew you felt it childish, but this family trip is essential." 

Guan Xian nods his head helplessly. The thought of spending a day without talking to Xia Sha has made him panic. He finally realized how Spongebob felt when the office in his brain was sent on fire.

"Aunty! I'm sorry, It's you," she carries a guilty tone in her voice. 

"Ah, don't worry about it. It's nothing. Xia Sha, I heard about you from Guan Xian, my heartache for you. Rather than spending Christmas alone, why don't you join our holiday? Aunty has prepared the jet for you!"
