Chapter 182: It's All About Women And Self-empowerment!

Xia Sha look confused when Ruan Jing Tian suddenly took a step back from her. She furrowed her eyebrow upon watching the guilty expression on Ruan Jing Tian's face. 

"What?" Xia Sha asked. 

Ruan Jing Tian pressed his lips into a thin line. His eyes quietly traveled to the man standing a few steps away from them. Xia Sha followed his gaze and stunned when she heard a familiar voice. 

"In need of beer?" 

A man in his black trench coat stares straight at Xia Sha's eyes. His intense but emotionless eyes stirred Xia Sha's heart the moment their eyes meet. 

The glow from the white LED light reflected on his eyes and enlighten part of his perfect side. In contrast to the soft vibes Ruan Jing Tian emitters under the dimmed street lamp, that man gives a magnificent aura as he steals everyone's attention. 

There always something different about the man. He is the type of person who enjoys fading into the background in the middle of a drama. But in that way, he stood out. 

He shows no usual bright smiles as he usually does, only a pair of cold eyes and a stoic expression. 

"What are you doing here?" Xia Sha's voice comes out cracked. One could hear the hesitance and nervousness on her tone. 

Ruan Jing Tian could tell from his point of view how big that man is affecting Xia Sha with his presence. He has not even shown much emotion of words, but Xia Sha could not take her eyes off from him. 

He felt someone just put a burden on his heart as he stood in between their ways. Especially when that man clenched his jaw and suddenly excluded ominous iciness. 

"I'll get the beer. You guys, take your time to talk," he quickly excuses himself and takes off to the convenience store. 

"Eh, wait," Xia Sha wanted to stop Ruan Jing Tian, but he had disappeared inside the bright store. 

Xia Sha took a deep breath and averted her gaze from Ruan Jing Tian. Pretending that the man in the black trench coat never exists, she turned and walked back to the apartment building. 

The man's expression got ugly that instant. He gritted his teeth and put his pride aside to fasten his step and caught her wrist. 

"Xia Sha!" He called her name.

"Let me go," Xia Sha answer coldly as soon as he stops her. She did not even turn around to look at him. 

"I need to talk to you," he asked, tightening his finger around the petite wrist. 

"I think I've made it clear last time we talk, Young Master Guan," Xia Sha close both of her eyelids, a useless attempt she hopes could give her strength to stand still. 

Guan Xian stares at the cold back of his girl. A strike of amusement color his eyes. He has always known Xia Sha is stubborn, and he keeps trying to adjust himself. With every time they fought, Xia Sha always surprised him with how strong-headed she could become. 

"Stop pretending to be cold and thorny, could you? We both know I will never listen and believe hurtful words that come out from your mouth," Guan Xian answers as he pulled her hand and turned her around. 

Xia Sha widens her eyes in shock when her body suddenly swirled towards Guan Xian. Using both of her hands, she landed perfectly on his chest. Xia Sha furrowed her eyebrow and tried to retract herself once she realized their intimate position. 

But, how could she beat the opportunist? 

Before she could move an inch, Guan Xian's arm had circled Xia Sha's waist. A proud grin decorates his face as he looked at Xia Sha. 

"That is right! That is how you should greet your boyfriend," Guan Xian squeezed his baby girl with a delightful heart. He almost forgot his anger from seeing Xia Sha hugging Ruan Jing Tian before. 

"Do you know how much I miss you? "

Guan Xian suddenly grumbles as he nuzzled his defined jaw against Xia Sha's silky hair.

"Can't you relent for once and text me first? How dare you ignore your angry boyfriend for five days?" Guan Xian shook his head.

Xia Sha froze as her cheek and nose brushed past Guan Xian's chest. Slowly she looked up and stare deep into those deep brown eyes. There is a trace of doubt before she furrowed her eyebrow in anger. 

"Oh? Do you want to talk right now? Because the last time I remember, you don't want to talk to me," She retorted.

Guan Xian's lips curved upwards involuntary. Xia Sha might act and look sarcastic, but somehow she sounds like wanting to be coaxed in his ears. 

"You are throwing a fit because I gave you a little cold shoulder?" Guan Xian teased Xia Sha with a knowing glint in his eyes. 

Xia Sha squinted her eyes and scoffed. 

"What exactly your purpose tonight? Don't you understand that I'm only playing around and never really had a genuine feeling for you? I'm only using you for my benefit. I am bad like that. You should settle for a better girl." 

Xia Sha bit her tongue when she finished her sentence. She finds it funny that the words that come out of her mouth could cause her to be overwhelmed by anguish and sadness all of sudden. 

Xia Sha just realized that she hurt herself when she tries to push him away. 

She realized that her heart shattered into pieces when she tries to broke his heart. 

It almost becomes a dramatic scene in drama if Guan Xian did not act like Guan Xian. 

"Here we go again," Guan Xian mumbles when he looked away from Xia Sha for a short time. Xia Sha got dumbfounded upon watching Guan Xian's response. 

"..."

"What is that supposed to mean?" Xia Sha frown and instantly push Guan Xian's away. 

Her honest and impromptu reaction makes Guan Xian broke into a burst of laughter. Xia Sha stomped his feet as her face darkened. The barrier between them slowly dissipates. 

Guan Xian could not stop laughing, but he anticipated the situation if Xia Sha wanted to run away from him again. Clinging closely to Xia Sha, he caught her arm and held his breath to surpass his urge to laugh. 

"Guan Xian! What so funny?" Xia Sha got annoyed. 

"It's because I knew what you are about to say next. You are going to say that You are not worthy of me, right?" Guan Xian titled his head while he shows a silly grin to Xia Sha. 

Xia Sha, who had 'I am not worthy of you,' hang on the tip of her tongue: "..." 

"That is so not true. Stop trying to act as if you know me so well," Xia Sha frowned and tried to look nonchalant. 

"You aren't going to say that? Finally! I'm so glad you decided to throw that nonsense out from your paradigm!" Guan Xian put his arm around Xia Sha's shoulder and kissed the top of her head in one swift movement. 

Xia Sha once again froze as she stood rooted on the spot. 

Guan Xian bought her into this extreme roller coaster of emotion that Xia Sha could not even catch up with her feeling right now. A minute before, negative thoughts almost consume her, but another minute later, a whole damn zoo filled her stomach. 

Xia Sha looking like a lost child, bring a sense of happiness and joy for Guan Xian. He could not stop looking, hoping that the time could stop for a while. But he couldn't, so the moment he realized, a stinging pain had left a mark on her arm. 

Yep, Xia Sha has smacked his arm as her lame way to revenge. 

"Tsk, Tsk, Tsk, you could hit me for all you want, but you could not break up with me!" Guan Xian let out his tongue to annoy Xia Sha. 

Xia Sha gritted her teeth and forcefully closed her eyelids. She tried to control her breathing and calm her inner self, who had been dying to choke Guan Xian to death!

How could someone be this annoying and handsome at the same time! She is so angry! 

-So angry that she forgets she is supposed to stay away from him. 

"Who are you to tell? I am going to break up with you if I want. That is my right, and that is what I am going to do! It's all about women and self-empowerment!" Strong-headed Xia Sha dominates the war once again. 

"Uh-huh. Then so, why did you let my grandmother affect and steal that right from being with me? Why did you let her measure our compatibility and tell you what to do?" Guan Xian suddenly stops grinning at look at Xia Sha with his solemn gaze. 

Guan Xian's brief remark felt like a heavy hammer that shattered Xia Sha's pride and heart.. She suddenly could not look back at him.
