Chapter 188: But He Did Not Bully Me. You've Misunderstood Him

"GUAN XIAN! YOU STICKY BOY. WHAT HAVE YOU DONE TO MY DAUGHTER IN LAW?!"

Xiao Ni covered her ear when her mother shouted like thunder in the middle of the ocean. 

"Mom! You aren't getting your daughter-in-law if you embarrassed brother like that. Please let big brother keep some of his dignity."

"Yes-ah! Even if Guan Xian did nothing today, your daughter-in-law if she sees her future mother-in-law roaring like an angry lion," Father Guan quickly added. 

"Look at you two ganging up again," Mother Guan scoffed angrily, but she stopped shouting and try to calm herself. 

Mother Guan could not wait for any second to hit Guan Xian's butt. She comes out from the helicopter before the engine even stops. Father Guan seems to hold her back. That is why her voices arrived earlier before Guan Xian could see the person.

Guan Xian furrowed his eyebrow as he holds Xia Sha close to his chest. He could feel his baby girl is trembling in fear. Perhaps, it's due to the cold water. But Guan Xian knew Xia Sha got her chills from the uninvited guest on the helicopter. 

When the chopper slows down, Xia Sha could see a glimpse of the person inside. Xiao Ni seems to say something to mother Guan. Father Guan sat next to an old lady that looks too fragile to stand up on her own.

Xia Sha lifted her eyelids completely when she recognizes the honorably lady. She hit's Guan Xian's arm several times as she tried to pointed out the person to him. 

"Guan Xian! Guan Xian! Is that your grandmother? That is your grandmother!" Xia Sha talks and gasps at the same time. 

"What are you saying? It's only my mother. My grandmother could not ride the helicopter, she is too-" 

Guan Xian squinted his eyes and tried to look into the helicopter. He could not believe Xia Sha's word. How could her grandmother ride a helicopter to a deserted is-

"Grandmother!" Guan Xian panicked as soon as she spots a dignified old lady come down from the helicopter with father Guan's help. She looks grim as she shot a glare at him from far away. 

"Grandmother, Grandmother, what are you doing here?" Guan Xian said as he runs to her grandmother. He suddenly looks pale as soon as he looked at mother Guan and grandmother Guan, respectively. 

Of course, he did not forget to grab Xia Sha's hand along with him. 

"I wanted to ask you the same question. What are you doing here? As long as I remember, this property doesn't belong to you," Grandmother Guan replied with a calm tone, but there is no trace of a smile on her face for Guan Xian. 

Guan Xian swallowed his saliva and tried hard to explain this matter to her family without getting hit by Xia Sha. God knows how many days or break up he needs to hear if he let his family knew Xia Sha's condition.

"Aiya, this pitiful child. She is cold. Guan Xian! How could you bully your fiancee like this?!" Grandmother Guan turned to Guan Xian as she scolds him sternly.

"B-B- Bully? I did not bully her!" Guan Xian tried to defend his good name. 

"You bought her to a deserted island where she could not escape or do anything. What do you call that other than bullying?!" Mother Guan frowned at his son. She glares at him but tries not too scared her daughter-in-law. 

"Alright, don't waste any more time on here. It well gets colder, Mother, Xia Sha, and Guan Xian might catch a cold. Let's head back first," Father Guan ended the conversation and asked Xiao Ni to give the windbreaker they bought for them. 

Xiao Ni escorted Xia Sha to the little cottage to change her wet dress. While Xia Sha is still freezing in disbelief, Xiao Ni had apologized to her a million times. 

"Xia Sha! I'm sorry. I did not know my brother could be this cruel. I swear I won't help him anymore. Tonight I declare my alliance with you!" Xiao Ni raised three fingers as a gesture of promise. 

Xiao Ni's exaggerated movement wakes Xia Sha up from her trance. She raised both of her eyebrows at Xiao Ni and carefully asked her some questions. 

"Xiao Ni, why did your family come to this deserted island?" 

"I told them that my brother is bullying you. My grandmother and mother are worried, so they come to save you," Xiao Ni answer with a faint frown on her face. She still felt guilty for helping her brother today.

"Safe me? Your mom and grandmother? Aren't your grandmother-" Xia Sha's voice got smaller as she looks awkward to mention grandmother Guan. 

Her uneasy gesture enlightens something on Xiao Ni's brain. Xiao Ni looked at her and clicked her tongue in disbelief. 

"Haven't my brother tell you that grandmother has given her blessing? Don't worry, grandmother not an unreasonable person. She is loving and reincarnation of a fairy godmother," Xiao Ni explained, showing her dimples as she held Xia Sha's hand. 

"She gives her blessing?" Xia Sha still could not believe her ear. 

That night grandmother Guan indeed intimidate her. Grandmother Guan talked so elegantly and calmly, but every word she said is impactful that Xia Sha left with no courage to oppose her. 

If what Guan Xian and Xiao Ni said is true, that the problem does rely on her. She quickly gives up on Guan Xian because she is so scared of everything. Recalling all the upsetting words she had said to Guan Xian, Xia Sha suddenly thinks Guan Xian is patient with her. 

Suddenly she becomes ashamed of herself for doubting Guan Xian. 

"Yes, she did. Why do you think she sat on the helicopter to scold Guan Xian?" Xiao Ni tilted her head. 

"Well. There is some misunderstanding. Your brother did-"

Xia Sha is about to say that Guan Xian did not leave her alone on this deserted island with nothing, but he did that. Pursuing her lips, she found it difficult to explain things to Xiao Ni. 

"What? My brother did not what?" 

"He comes back at the end," Xia Sha tried to mention one gracious thing from today's experience. 

"Aiya, that won't change a thing. He did dump you on a deserted island," Xiao Ni replied, dragging Xia Sha out from the cottage to the helicopter. 

"But he did not bully me. You've misunderstood him," Xia Sha tried to save Guan Xian from getting his butt kicked. 

Xiao Ni stopped walking and observe Xia Sha with a weird smile. Xia Sha calmly raised her eyebrow to appear calm. She wanted to ask why Xiao Ni's looked at her like that, but Xiao Ni had dragged her to the helicopter. 

There Guan Xian had changed her clothes and get an earful from the grandmother Guan and his parents. When he sees Xia Sha coming, his eyes light up as if he had found his savior. 

"Mom, I swear I never intended to leave Xia Sha alone. You can ask Xia Sha. I come out immediately when she needs me."

Guan Xian hinted at Xia Sha to help him with his wink. Xia Sha acted fast and nodded her head frantically. 

"That is right. Guan Xian did not leave me alone. He isn't bullying me either," Xia Sha complies with Guan Xian's justification. 

"Aiyo, look at this good girl. She is still trying to protect this stinky boy," Grandmother Guan finally cracked a smile after scolding Guan Xian. 

"Even if Xia Sha said so, this action is very unresponsible of you, Guan Xian," Father Guan, who had been silent the whole time, voice out his disappointment. 

Guan Xian looked and his father and nodded his head. He could understand where his wrongdoings and willing to acknowledge them. He lowered his head to rethink his action.

What he did not see is how father Guan winked at mother Guan in secret. Mother Guan quickly understands what father Guan is hinting. She looked at Xia Sha then gently took her hand. 

"Your father is right. No matter what excuses you have at the end of the day, Xia Sha is still a woman while you are a man. You took her to an isolated place. How could you hold the responsibility if something happened to Xia Sha?" 

Mother Guan speak as if her biological child is Xia Sha while Guan Xian is the man with evil intention.

Guan Xian and Xia Sha both raised their eyebrow at the same time. They aren't stupid and could instantly grasp the underlying meaning behind mother Guan's words.

Grandmother Guan seems to secretly laugh at Guan Xian and Xia Sha's dumbfounded face. Add Xiao Ni, who fakes a cough then, executed the drama her mother and father are playing.
