Chapter 187: I Will Trust You

Guan Xian slowly opens his eyes when those sweet lips escape from his traps. A mysterious veil of mist covers his eyes as he controls his breath. He takes a glance at the opposite of him, a gentle smile spread on his face, reflecting his revived souls.

"Hungry?" he asked, taking out something from his pocket. 

Xia Sha squinted her eyes at him as her heart calmed down a bit. While waiting for Guan Xian to show something from his right hand, she tightened the suit around her body. She could not stop the cheeky smiles even when she had tried to press her lips together. 

Xia Sha does not even realize when he put his suit around her, but she is grateful for him. 

However, that smile instantly disappears from her face as soon as she looked at three candy on Guan Xian's hand. Several bad scenarios started to play on her mind, but she tried to be positives as she took the orange flavor from Guan Xian's hand. 

"When will your yacht come back? We are leaving the island at the moment, right?" She showed a pressed smile as she tilted her head at Guan Xian. 

Guan Xian nodded his head swiftly and looked at the vintage watches that wrapped his wrist. Xia Sha watched how Guan Xian furrowed his eyebrow but concealed it with a grin the exact next second. 

"Yes, we supposed to leave the island tonight. I don't know why the yacht hasn't come back to pick us," He wrinkled his nose, pulling out his phone from his pants pocket. 

"Are you sure? Because we had nothing expect from an empty little cottage behind us," Xia Sha smile still, waiting patiently for Guan Xian to check his phone. Knowing well that it could not help much since there is no signal on this deserted island. 

Guan Xian nods his head without looking at Xia Sha. He keeps his eyes fixed on the screen. He seems to appear lost when he looked up to Xia Sha. 

Xia Sha widens her eyes. She swears she could hear the worst possibilities coming out from Guan Xian's lips. She swallowed her saliva and tried not to freak out. 

"What happens? Does the helmsman got beaten by piranha? Do we need to stay here for tonight?" 

Guan Xian's jaw almost dropped to the sand. 

Piranha? Where does she get that wild idea? 

He doesn't know that Xia Sha is a very imaginative person. 

"Baby, piranha lives in freshwater, not by the sea. And no, the helmsman is fine, and we don't have to stay here for tonight."

Xia Sha let out an exhaled air with a sense of relief after Guan Xian answered her question. She is fine as long as they did not have to spend a night on this deserted island.

"So why do you act like something bad will happen?" Xia Sha huffed.

"Because my butt might get kicked tonight," Guan Xian's lips spread wide, but there is no happiness on his face. Instead, there is a mist of nightmare written on his handsome face. 

"Ah? Why? I am not going to kick your butt-ah."

Xia Sha innocently stares at Guan Xian as she got lost in her thought. 

Although she could claim that Guan Xian is mean for tossing her into this deserted island. He never really leave her alone. He created enough space to think and excite the feeling that she hides deep in her heart. 

If Xia Sha needs to use the wound analogy, she felt she had passed the most painful phase. Today crying had her heart settle and calmed down after dredging the wound. And now it's time to start healing it the right way. 

And this time, with this deadpan-looking man beside her, somehow she got excited looking for tomorrow. 

"Of course you are won't kick my butt. In our terms, I should be the one who kicks your butt," Guan Xian let out his tongue, playing around with Xia Sha. 

Xia Sha: "..."

"I'm not talking to you! You are confusing right now," Xia Sha murmured and looked away from Guan Xian. 

"Aiya, you don't need my explanation. Just look at the sky and wait for our ride to arrive," Guan Xian pulled Xia Sha's chin gently with his finger so he could see her face again. 

"Sky?" Xia Sha raised her right eyebrow and looked up to the dark sky. 

The deserted island is not too far away from the bright Capital City. But Xia Sha could see the star shining brightly here. Perhaps it's because the only light on the island is coming from their little cottage, so the sky isn't polluted with light. Hence the stars look more bright.

Once again, Guan Xian bought a magnificent and breathtaking view to her. 

"How can you find so many secret places like this? Beautiful and isolated. Wait! Let me guess. Because you have too many fling and girlfriend, there are no places left for you to do things-that-shall-not-be-mention in the city, right?" Xia Sha pointed her finger at Guan Xian's nose. 

Guan Xian pursued his lips and brushed aside Xia Sha's finger lightly. He tilted his head and answered Xia Sha's accusation with a forced smile. 

"First the piranha, now you come back with my past. I come to know this place because this is my grandfather's private island, okay? Talking about the past, what about your friend. Have you made up with him?" 

"Friend? who?"

Guan Xian averted away and refused to repeat his question. He looks funny to Xia Sha when he tried to hide his grimace. 

"Ah- Ruan Jing Tian. We are cool now, no worries."

Guan Xian: "!!!"

What do you meant that I'm worried that two of you aren't cool with each other?! It's the exact situation, alright?!

Guan Xian becomes quiet as he directed his aggravation to the sand on his side. Xia Sha almost let out a giggle when she sees Guan Xian pouted while cursing under his breath. If she remembers correctly, she had never seen Guan Xian express his jealousy like this before. 

He usually would angry and cursed when he got jealous. But never to Xia Sha. Guan Xian always shows his jealousy to his subject of envy. So Xia Sha is enjoying watching Guan Xian sulking about Ruan Jing Tian. However, she also realized Ruan Jing Tian could get implicated more than this if she did not step up. Thus, she decided to let him calm down for some time before she talks to him. 

"I am forever friends with him. I don't think there will be changing of statues any time soon."

"What changing of statues?! He will never change his status with you! And stop mentioning his name. I'm furious to death every time I heard his name," Guan Xian replied coldly with his flat tone. 

"Why? Ruan Jing Tian is my best friend. What should I do if my future husband doesn't get along with my best friend? I should consider-"

Before Xia Sha could finish her sentence, Guan Xian had pulled her and stop her lips from moving -with his tongue.

Xia Sha widens her eyes and could not stop her cheek from getting all flustered. She suddenly felt so shy when he kissed her so openly. 

"From right now, I'm going to kiss you every time you doubt our commitment. Don't say things that would traumatize me again," Guan Xian shh-ed Xia Sha with a careless manner. He is living the Michael Buble's 'I get to kiss you just because I can' type of personality. 

Xia Sha is rendered speechless. She looked at Guan Xian as if he is an impossible case. Guan Xian shamelessly smiles as he pinched Xia Sha's cheek. 

"Nevermind. Now I realized that some things do not need an explanation. Rather than wasting your time thinking something that you could not control, better wasting it on things you love," Xia Sha stood up from her seat and suddenly pulled Guan Xian's arm. 

"What do you want to do?" Guan Xian raised his eyebrow but let Xia Sha drag him to the sea.

Xia Sha did not reply to Guan Xian, but the direction of where they were going is pretty clear to answer him. 

"No, we can't go into the water. It's cold!" Guan Xian warned, trying to stop Xia Sha from going into the sea. But it's too late as Xia Sha had run to the water happily. 

"I'm not afraid of the cold!"

Xia Sha's jolted as soon as her feet touched the sea. The cold water sobers her up from all the muddy ideas she had these past few days. She grinned and laughed at Guan Xian, who tried to catch up with her. 

"Guan Xian! You are never going to leave me alone, don't you?" Xia Sha yells from her place, intertwining her hand behind her body. She smiles graciously at Guan Xian, who has stopped moving as he looked at her. Mesmerized.

"En! I'm not going to leave you alone even if you pushed me away and said you want to be left alone!" 

Xia Sha giggled, then she nods her head. 

"I'll trust you," she declares, which makes Guan Xian froze in his place. He blinked like an idiot and slapped his cheek. Xia Sha frowned when she watched Guan Xian hurt himself.

"What are you doing?" she looked sullen, her voice filled with concern.

"Please repeat what you say," Guan Xian asked instead of answering Xia Sha's question. 

Xia Sha's face changed bright immediately. She walked closer to her idiot and shouted in front of him. 

"I said, I will trust you this time!" 

"You what?"

"I will trust you!" 

"BABY!" Guan Xian could not surpass the erupting happiness inside his heart. He strode forward and scooped Xia Sha with a wide grin on his face. Both of them laugh, didn't even feel the cold from the splashing water around them. 

Xia Sha let out a squeal as she tightened her arm around Guan Xian's neck. Guan Xian stopped spinning and looked at Xia Sha with a gentle gaze. The laughter died, and only silent smiles remain on each other faces. 

Slowly but sure, they cut the distance between them. Xia Sha closed her eyes once she felt their nose tip brushed. The roar of the waves become their music as they-

They fall into the water because of loud wind and nosy voices from the helicopter copper.

"GUAN XIAN! YOU STICKY BOY.. WHAT HAVE YOU DONE TO MY DAUGHTER IN LAW?!" A frightening scold comes from the beautiful sky filled with stars.
