Chapter 196: Maybe That's Why He Could Fall Deeply In Love With Her.

Xia Sha thought their encounter with Ye Zhen Zhen was only an accidental meeting that would not affect their future. Who would have known that Ye Zhen Zhen might be the source of trouble for their relationship? 

So it went like this, several days after coming back to Capital City, Xia Sha and Xiao Zhan started to pitching several investors. Out of those who agreed to invest, Ye Zhen Zhen's grandfather is one of them. They had heard Ji Cun Xi talking about this project and were interested. 

Xia Sha was very much surprised. Not only because Ji Cun Xi, who claimed that he did not like her, is lending a hand, but also Ye Zhen Zhen's come to her company as the person in charge. 

Another thing is that she is also working on another proposal in the pharmacy area. Thus she asked Xiao Ni to accompany her to a party to grabs Zhang Han (A CEO and heir to one of the biggest pharmaceutical company in the nation) to join hand in research. Who would've known Zhang Han bought a girl who then offended Xiao Ni by saying she brings bad luck to Wang Kai. 

This series of the event runs like a dominoes that lead Xia Sha and Xiao Ni to Paris. Wang Kai wanted to cheer Xiao Ni, but the boys need to find a new place for a new resort. Somewhere with no signals. It's very suspicious, and they've gone more than a week now. 

While he is gone, Xia Sha finds loads of interesting facts from Ye Zhen Zhen. Such as, they had a date once before Guan Xian decided to ghost her. Can you imagine how acting skills Xia Sha need to use to keep a kind smiles on her face? 

She wants to reach Guan Xian and asked him to explain when he suddenly comes to her apartment at night. His eyes were death shot red, and he is mumbling something like someone who lost his mind. 

"Xia Sha, help me, I think my head is going to explode anytime," he murmured as if someone just robbed his heart and left him with nothing but pain. 

Guan Xian doesn't even care someone would look at him outside. He stands outside Xia Sha's door apartment, unmoved. But Xia Sha could see him might collapse in any minutes.

"Xia Sha, what to do?" he whispered in between his clenching teeth. He tried so hard to stop his tears, but he could not. 

Xia Sha's heart sank. She could never imagine that watching Guan Xian in this situation is more painful than her heartbreak before. She pressed her lips and tried not to drop the tears that somehow had welled up in her eyes. 

Somehow Xia Sha could felt the fear and frustration coming from his gaze. She knows something terrible had happened. Something that even money or power could not solve. Something that could make Guan Xian cry like he had lost his hopes.

"It's okay. I am here. We can think of solutions," Xia Sha whispered to him as she pulled his arm gently and wrapped him around with her arms. 

She did not know what happen, but she wants to be there for him. 

"It's okay. It's okay. Everything is going to be alright," Xia Sha closed her eyes when she heard his restrained sobs. 

"Xia Sha, Xiao Ni, she-" Guan Xian tried to deliver his speech in between his crying. 

Xia Sha felt a hand had grasped her hand and dropped it to the ground at the same time. She still could not understand what happened. But Xia Sha knew that something that makes Guan Xian helpless had happened to Xiao Ni. And she could not help but feeling pained and worry too. 

Xia Sha did not want to show her worry and make Guan Xian felt he needed to be strong for her too. After spending more intimate times with Guan Xian, Xia Sha had found something about Guan Xian. Guan Xian is the type of guy who would not show his vulnerabilities to others who had more. If he is sad, but he saw you sad, he will hide his pain and acted strong for you. 

From the pungent smell of antiseptic on his shirt, Xia Sha could guess that Xiao Ni is in the hospital right now. Guan Xian must be holding his sadness until he comes here. 

"Xiao Ni is in the hospital right now. I don't know what to do," Guan Xian finished his sentence after he started to calm down. He pushed Xia Sha a half arm's length away from him and looked at her with a mellow gaze.

"It's alright. Xiao Ni is strong and healthy. She is going to be fine. She is always so happy and lucky," Xia Sha holds Guan Xian's hand tightly, hoping that he would know that she will be there for him. 

Guan Xian shook his head and lowered his head. 

"No, she is not happy. We lied to her this whole time. How could Xiao Ni be delighted once she remembers the truth? How could I call myself her brother after I failed her?" Guan Xian clenched his jaw and closed his eyes. He slowly leans his forehead on Xia Sha's shoulder. 

Xia Sha went quiet. She let him rest on her shoulder for a moment. 

"She would not think like that. Xiao Ni loves and cares for you so dearly. She knew that you love her, and she never takes it for granted. I knew Xiao Ni would not say that."

"But I failed to protect her, both in at the past and the present. She hates us now. She does not even want to wake up from her sleep."

Xia Sha knew Guan Xian had stopped crying, but his worth weighed more than his tears before. Xia Sha felt her heart is crushing as she listens to him.

"She only needs some time to rest. Why would you say something like that about your little sister? Have a little faith in her, can you?" Xia Sha rebuke with gentle voices, calming Guan Xian with a soothe tap on his back.

That is when Xia Sha realized something is amiss from Guan Xian. There are traces of blood on his pants. The pungent antiseptic comes from his suit, but inside, his shirt is a mixture of sweat and blood.

Xia Sha's heart almost stops beating for a moment. She took a breath to calm down and think of her action. And Guan Xian seems to notice her tense body. He blinked and pushed her away gently. 

"Thank you for being here for me. I should clean myself before I come here. But I'm only-"

"You could take a bath here," Xia Sha smiles while answering him.

Guan Xian was stunned for a moment upon staring at her. Xia Sha is wearing no make-up and much less beautiful clothes. But everything about her right now seems to be perfect for him. 

He loves how Xia Sha could calm him down without asking anything. 

He loves how Xia Sha tried to be strong and lean her shoulder when he was weak.

He loves how Xia Sha accepts and sees his vulnerabilities with open arms. 

He loves how he could come to her with nothing to hides. 

Maybe that's why he could fall deeply in love with her. 

Because Xia Sha sees him as a human. 

Xia Sha did not expect him to be strong and powerful all the time. 

Xia Sha gives him that fresh air and freedom to express his true feeling. 

"I'm sure you always bought your clothes in your car, right? You could take it while I prepare hot water for you," Xia Sha said before she turned around and go to her bathroom. 

Guan Xian blinked, and she had disappeared. He could hear the water running to fill the tub while she is gone. His heart suddenly felt warmth as he smells Xia Sha's scent that stayed in the room. 

He had not realized that he still stood there unmoving, even after the bathtub almost filled. Xia Sha furrowed her eyebrow when she sees him without his clothes.

"Why haven't you go?" she grumbles and clicked her tongue. 

"Nevermind, I'll take it myself. Where is your car- hmph."

Xia Sha could not finish her sentence as Guan Xian had suddenly pulled her and kissed her hard. She had never felt Guan Xian so passionate and gentle with his kissing before. Xia Sha could not help but lean into him and replied with her heart. 

She did not know what happen, but she felt so loved and cared that suddenly. Xia Sha could felt him smiling in the middle of their kiss. She felt secure as his palm caress her jaw while those magnetic eyes stare deeply into her soul. 

"I'll take it. Accompany me to the hospital afterward, will you?" Guan Xian whispered as their nose touched.

Xia Sha is still managing her breath.. Staring at him with her lively eyes, she pulled her cheek muscle and smiled gently at him.
