Chapter 203: What Makes You Upset?

Xia Sha departs from the Prison with anger filled her whole chest. She was supposed to be working after visiting Pang Ze Tian. But she could not seems to focus on her work even after she isolates herself inside her office. 

Why is Pang Ze Tian so obsessed with stock? Pang Ze Tian only owns one percent of Xia Corporation. It might be big, but Xia Qi Feng certainly could give much more than one percent dividend for Xia Xiang to live. There must be something she hides again. 

Second of all, Wen Du Jiao? Isn't that Wen Rou's father? 

The last time she remembers, Wen Rou and Pang Ze Tian are working together to ruin her life. Why does Pang Ze Tian curse Wen Du Jiao?

Biting her lower lips, she took her phone and clicked on Guan Xian's profile on her contact list. The call got connected, but Guan Xian did not answer. 

Xia Sha furrowed her eyebrow, thinking that he might be busy with his work and Xiao Ni. She fixed her gaze at the file on the top of her table. Tightening her grasp on the pen, she let out a deep breath and stand up from her seat. 

Xia Sha's heart felt heavy. She cannot forgive Pang Ze Tian for everything that she had done. But at the same time, she hates herself for being too blind in the past. The cause of her ignorance had hurt the people she cared about so much.

"Forget it, the faster I finish this trouble, the faster I could do my work," she mumbles to herself as she put aside her works and carry her phone to his father's office. 

Her appearance in Xia Qi Feng's office did not surprise people. After all, Xia Sha is a well-known workaholic in the office. The secretary that looks a lot like her mother is gone, replaced by a young man. Xia Sha wants to mention this to her father, but she was too surprised to say anything when she saw Xiao Zhan in his father's office. 

Xia Sha's sudden emergence seems to surprise them too. The laugh and smiles on their faces freeze in the air. Suspicions rise inside Xia Sha's head, but she tried to push it off by acting indifferent. 

"Dad, I need to talk to you. It is important," Xia Sha ignored Xiao Zhan and directly called Xia Qi Feng father. She controlled her emotion, showing no anger and only urges. 

Xia Qi Feng looked at Xia Sha with wondering eyes, while Xiao Zhan excuses himself at that exact moment. Xia Sha waited until Xiao Zhan disappears behind the door before she sat across from her father. 

Xia Qi Feng looked at his though daughter and let out a silent sigh. "Xia Sha, can you be more-"

Xia Sha raised one of the eyebrows and firing a questioning look at her father. 

"Forget it," Xia Qi Feng shook his head slightly and cleared his throat. Xia Sha nodded. She also felt his father better let the topic pass because she needs to discuss more important things. 

"I need a Pang Ze Tian's background check," Xia Sha did not beat around the bush and directly asked for what she wanted. 

Xia Qi Feng's face distorted into a frown the moment he heard Xia Sha's request. 

"What did you need it? Pang Ze Tian has rotted in the jail. We have nothing to do with her anymore," Xia Qi Feng said coldly. 

From the day she divorces Shen Xia Fei up until now, Pang Ze Tian has been the number one source of his headache. He is slowly gaining back his happiness these days, Xia Sha mentioning Pang Ze Tian's name his mood messy. 

"I want to finish everything for one. I don't want to leave even a piece of roots that witch on my life. So please, father, let me have the files, and I'll go out from this office as soon as possible," Xia Sha said decisively. 

Xia Sha did not want to tell Xia Qi Feng about Pang Ze Tian's confession, not when everything is still blurry. But she also needs fast information about Pang Ze Tian, and she knows Xia Qi Feng must have that information before he decided to make an agreement with her. 

Xia Qi Feng sees a strong determination in Xia Sha's eyes. Knowing how stubborn his daughter can be, Xia Qi Feng leans in and let her had the file she wants. He walked to his computer and searched for the files Xia Sha wanted. 

Everything gets forwarded on Xia Sha's phone after a minute. Xia Sha checked everything and looked at her dad thoughtfully said, "Are you sure it's everything?" 

Xia Qi Feng was rather amused at his daughter. He nodded his head and reassured Xia Sha.

"It's all in there. I have nothing to hide from you. Not anymore," Xia Qi Feng smiles faintly to Xia Sha. 

Xia Sha felt her heart racing after hearing his father's words. She squinted her eyes and stand from her seat, "Don't say cheesy things like that. It's so cringy." 

Xia Qi Feng laughed when he watched Xia Sha's body shudders. Xia Sha hug her arms as she walked out of Xia Qi Feng's office. When she about to get out of the room, Xia Qi Feng's voice stopped her from leaving. 

"Xia Sha," His baritone voice called her name. 

Xia Sha turned around and raised both of her eyebrows. She waited for her father to continued his sentence as she sees seriousness in Xia Qi Feng's eyes. 

"Use the file wisely, and remember Xia Xiang." 

Xia Qi Feng's reminder makes stirred something inside Xia Sha's heart. Perhaps she still hates to share his father's love with Xia Xiang, or because she knew she had no way but to hurt Xia Xiang by investigating Pang Ze Tian. But no matter what is the reason, Xia Qi Feng's words had weighed down on her heart. 

"Okay. I'll remember that" Xia Sha succinctly replied before she left Xia Qi Feng's office. 

Xia Qi Feng looks at his grown-up daughter with mixed feelings on his heart. Once again, he felt a sentimental feeling as his gaze fall on their family portrait picture. He looked at his baby for a long time before he let out a sigh, "I've grown all indeed. I keep feeling melancholy these days. Shen Xia Fei, your daughter is getting married soon, what to do? I don't want to lose two of my angel this fast."

Xia Sha is reviewing Pang Ze Tian's document alone in her apartment when she heard a beep sound outside her apartment. The only person who knew the password to her place is Guan Xian. So it has to be Guan Xian. While leaving her tablets on the sofa, she got up to welcome the person. 

"You are home already? I thought you haven't got home," Guan Xian said as soon as he sees Xia Sha in the entrance hallway. 

"I bought my work home so I could work more comfortably," she lies.

Xia Sha smiles faintly at him as she nods her head. When she see Guan Xian, there is part of her that would like to tell what happen to her today. But at the same time, something is stopping her from talking. Swallowing the bile on her throat, she froze on her spot for a moment. 

Guan Xian nods his head and puts down the food he bought from a restaurant before. He set everything up and call Xia Sha to eat with him. Xia Sha slowly walked and sat down at the dining table. 

"How is your day?" Guan Xian casually asked as he offers the chopstick he holds to Xia Sha. 

Xia Sha holds her breath before she took the chopstick and averted her gaze from him. 

"Busy as usual," she murmured lowly. 

Guan Xian nodded his head again. He started picking some dishes to Xia Sha's bowl and asked her to eat up. Guan Xian acted like how he usually acts, but something is off about his vibes. Xia Sha could not help but felt the air is suffocating as they fall into unprecedented cold silence. 

"Emm, you are going to visit Xiao Ni again tonight, right?" Xia Sha furrowed her brow as she tried to find a topic to soothes the heavy atmosphere. 

"Yes," Guan Xian takes his time to answer. 

Just like that, the atmosphere began to felt frustrating for Xia Sha. She holds her chopstick and places it nicely on her bowl. Staring straight at Guan Xian, she squared her shoulder. 

"Did something bothering you today? What makes you upset?" she asked directly. 

Guan Xian raised his head when he heard Xia Sha's question. Their eyes meet in a way they never met before. Xia Sha's heart suddenly sank into a deep ocean as she heard him reply.

"You."
