Chapter 5: ” My neighbors are cute”

After checking that Gu Wei was alright, Gu Chen heaved a sigh of relief. He bowed towards Dong Tian and repeatedly thanked him. 

 

"Thank you very much for helping us! I don't know what would have happened if you didn't called us!"

 

"Its alright, I have just done what anyone else would have done."

 

Towards this beauty who kept on thanking him, Dong Tian felt a little embarrassed. He didn't feel that he had done anything big, just like any other ordinary person would have done the same if they find a lost child on the street. Nonetheless at least they were happy and thats all that matters.

 

Gu Chen invited Dong Tian for lunch in his shop as a thank you for finding his son. At first he refused but soon being looked at by two pairs of puddy dog eyes he had to say yes in the end.

 

As he entered the shop, he noticed that it was a very cozy homey place. It was decorated with plant and flowers of various kinds. Maybe because it was the lunch time the shop was crowded. Soon some people noticed their arrival, a man in the apron soon came up to them.

 

" Wei Wei! thank goodness you're okay! if something had happened to you, we all will be devastated ! Do you know that grandpa Li is still searching for you along with other big brothers and sisters" Meng Lingxi said while wiping his eyes. When he heard that Gu Wei was missing he had thought he was kidnapped again.

 

" Brother xi xi, see I am alright! Uncle Tian Tian brought me back and there were no bad guys this time!" Gu Wei said as he hugged Meng Lingxi.

 

Meng Lingxi thanked Dong Tian and  brought him to a clean table and asked what he wanted to eat. Considering that he didn't eat anything since yesterday, he ordered some vegetable congee with chicken soup. After waiting for a while the food arrived. Food looked rather appetizing , the smell of the food made his already hungry stomach growl. Embarrassed, he started eating... the taste of very delicious. Halfway though there was a commotion at the entrance. He looked backed and almost chocked on his food. A group of people with fancy hair much like gangsters were surrounding Gu Wei and standing by him was an old man in suit crying as he held Gu Wei. As he was wondering what was going on he saw Gu Wei pointing at his direction.

 

Soon this group of 'gangsters' came towards him and bowed towards him.

As they were chattering Gu Chen came out from the kitchen. The group of  fancy haired 'gangsters' bowed towards him and called him 'Boss'.

 

"..... How many times do I have to tell you all to stop calling me boss. And didn't I told you all to dye your hair back to your natural hair,..... okay stop giving me the sad looks and come inside and eat the lunch". Gu Chen said as he looked apologetic toward Dong Tian who sat dumbfounded at the scene in front of him.

 

Time passed by and Dong Tian left the shop and went to the convenience store and brought some daily necessities for his uses. He went back to his home and started preparing for dinner. After he ate his dinner, he washed up and went to sleep... it was an exhausting day and a lot of things happened so he didn't had time to think about Ying Jun. Maybe it was a good thing that he didn't think about him... He soon fell asleep.

 

Next morning, When Dong Tian woke up it was already 7 in the morning. he washed up and went out to buy some things... As soon as he opened the door, the door of the house opposite to his also opened. A small head full of black hair and red eyes peaked outside and as soon as he saw him he screamed.

 

"Uncle Tian Tian!!"

 

Dong Tian thought ' well I guess my neighbors are cute'
