“As per Thomas, we have already notified your kin regarding our proposed course of action. They had anticipated their arrival here today, however, it appears that unforeseen circumstances have prevented them from doing so, as it is the designated visiting hour..."

The physician re-entered the room, "Permit me to apologize for my surreptitious behavior, however, it is with regret that I must inform you that both Dante and Thomas must remain in the hospital for a minimum of one additional month. Thomas' condition is particularly dire, and his prognosis is uncertain."

Dennis replied, donning his coat, "I understand. In that case, I shall make arrangements for their families to visit them at their homes. It's time for us to depart and further discuss this matter." He smiled, as he made his way towards the door.

I was at a loss for words.

I longed to speak with him. I presume that this was his doing. I am not particularly fond of folklore, but everything seemed to be progressing well after my conversation with that individual, Vincent, as he calls himself.

"Farewell Dante, take care. We will return tomorrow!" My mother reassured me, giving me a kiss on my forehead.

"Goodbye, Dante..." Madison added.

“Goodbye, I will be waiting here.”

I responded. Esther remained still as the others left the room. She slowly walked towards me, "I am truly delighted for you, Dante. I cannot wait to see you in your new home."

“Thank you, Esther…” I responded, as she turned her back and walked outside the room, me and Thomas, left together once more.

Thomas looked at me with a mischievous grin, as if he knew what I was thinking. Yes, I confess, Esther is a beautiful individual, and I may have gotten fond of her.

“Oh, Thomas, leave it…”

“What…? Hahaha! It’s writing all across your pale face!”

"I said, be quiet!" I exclaimed, throwing my pillow towards him.

"10 years ago, in the vicinity of Castle Combe woods, you must have been caught in the midst of the altercation that occurred with that family." Dennis added.

"Yes...I was fortunate to have been able to save Dante. He was on the brink of death."

"Didn't that family only have one son?" Trecia asked.

"Yes, but he was adopted by another family. I believe he is currently enrolled in school." Dennis responded.

“Ah… I see."
