"Imagination is more important than knowledge. For knowledge is limited, whereas imagination embraces the entire world, stimulating progress, giving birth to evolution." - Albert Einstein
We made our way into the carriages and took our respective seats, with Madison, Thomas, and Esther joining me. Thomas and I sat adjacent to one another, while Madison and Esther occupied the opposite side of the compartment.
We were about to embark on a new chapter in our lives, one that was both exhilarating and intimidating. I felt a twinge of apprehension, but that was quickly overtaken by a sense of bravery. The source of this bravery was none other than the Devil himself and his promise to bring about great things.

However, it was soon brought to our attention that there was an error in our information. It was not the case that the two houses were situated next to each other, as we had previously thought. Upon arrival, we learned that only one house was available for our use, while the other was located in the northeastern part of the area and would serve as Thomas' abode.
Esther was the standout among us, dressed in a stunning black dress as if she had just stepped out of an upscale event. Meanwhile, the rest of us were dressed in more modest attire. She gazed emotionlessly out the window, taking in the scenery as the carriages transported us to our new dwelling.
There was for some reason a rather uncomfortable sensation floating through the air. It was silent, but thankfully Thomas was there to break it.
“So… what about them new houses, huh? We were told that they were given a name or sumthing?”
Esther turned her gaze towards Thomas, her demeanor calm. "Yes, there is indeed a grand backstory attached to the house."
Madison perked up in curiosity, "What story? Dennis only told us that the house had been abandoned for some time and that it was available for our use since it served no other purpose."
"Have you all become aware of the downfall of the Shywalt Family?"
None of us uttered a syllable in response. It took a few moments before Esther comprehended that we would not have any prior knowledge of it.
“Ah, right. Of course you don’t. Let me briefly tell you about a story, of a woman that had brought the most prominent Family that influenced people throughout all of England to anarchy because of her infidelity…
It was the year of 1817. The head of the Shywalt Family, Theo, had discovered her wife having an affair with another man. A man, that nobody had heard of. A man, that was born in poverty, but still, somehow managed to win over the heart of a married noble woman.

The Shywalt Family consisted of only one biological offspring. Nevertheless, Theo's wife had birthed another child with the aforementioned poor man.
One fateful day, Theo ordered the assassination of his own wife. The act was carried out in Castle Combe. His spouse was found in her chamber, dressed and surrounded by only a few of her servants. She was in the company of her second son, planning a visit to the poor man.
As far as I can tell, a sudden explosion occurred, and both she and her child were said to have died right on the spot.
The story remains somewhat obscure in my recollection. However, what is clear is that only her lifeless body was discovered outside the street, a result of the explosion, while the child was nowhere to be found.
“Oh? That seems rather unusual.” Madison replied, her face confused.
"Indeed. Most of the story remains shrouded in mystery. Theo eventually succumbed, his son was taken in by another family, and the poor man has not been sighted or heard from since that day. Many surmise that he might have also passed away."
“That sure is a kooky story, right, Dante?”
“Uhm, yes… it surely is…”
“Dozing off again?”
"Not at all." I replied. "I was simply contemplating the peculiar tale that Esther had recounted before us. It truly is an enigma."
“I don’t blame you. It left me confused, as well.” Esther responded. Her eyes fixated upon me. Her eyes holding a seductive quality that left me bewildered. I surmised that her observation of Anabelle and I in her chambers might have been the root of her prolonged stare.

Our journey continued, and we soon found ourselves traversing familiar avenues of our old neighborhood. A distinct disparity was evident as we ventured beyond those environs. Time passed, and we eventually arrived at our new abode.
An unusual and eerie sentiment, tinged with a strong nostalgia, surged through my veins as I gazed upon the decrepit structure. The exterior was a dingy grey, and it was hidden amidst the trees and forest that surrounded it. A statue sat on its right side, and the tranquil chirping of birds in the background indicated the presence of a woodland.
At first glance, one would be hard-pressed to deduce that a house was situated next to this abandoned dwelling. Yet, Dennis had claimed that two houses existed in this location. It was a mystery that left me pondering.
