Just like her father who always said cryptic words when he couldn't answer the questions she had, Vivian believed that Uncle Blood could explain about half of what happened here. She also had her conjectures and it was time to discuss it. Turning to the floating sword she explained.

 "As you saw the two 'Elemental Seas' have successfully combined into one due to the presence of Frank's 'Soul Force'. However, the combination of the 'Dao Buildings' was unexpected and Frank felt it was better to combine the Runes than leave them in equilibrium so we used a Rune to force the process. Fortunately, everything worked out fine."

"Then what about the fact that all of us appeared in Master's Mindscape before the merge and why am I still here. From what I know only 'Soul Avatars' can exist in the Mindscape. This time it was Frank's cool but emotionless voice that sounded.

" I think it has to do with the merger of the Runes. All of you have one or many Runes which have been carved into my 'Dao Buildings', whether we knew it or not. Therefore, the Runes summoned you here. The fact that you can stay here as well also has to do with the Runes being integrated into my new 'Dao Building'. Probably."

"Wow Runes are really mysterious." the childish voice said with awe.

"Yes and with this Princess having the ability to draw any Rune she wants, that means I am All-Powerful so you should show me respect in the future. Understood?" Vivian chimed in with the usual boasting tone. However, it felt as if a contemptuous gaze scrutinized her from her 'Angel Ring' to her toes as the sword said.

"If you were All-Powerful, why would you be dead?" The question hit her sore spot as Vivian's face twitched. 

Rune-carving was not omnipotent. She first needed to comprehend the Rune before she could carve it. One single stroke could change the meaning of the Rune entirely. Most Runes had multiple meanings encompassing a single concept. Like the "Combine Rune" she carved earlier. It also included concepts like Mix, Merge, Mash together and the likes. Those Runes when carved were highly volatile and rarely worked. When carving, she had to add in properties. Earlier she added the property of 'Start the combination process' as well as 'Give room for other Runes in the process.' Just this Rune alone required the 'Soul Force' of three individuals! Plus without a high cultivation, certain Runes we're impossible to draw even if she could understand them. 

The study of Runes was officially known as 'Runology' and those who were accomplished in this field were highly respected and very powerful. However, it was easier said than done as they had to travel from place to place studying different kinds of Runes to understand what they meant. However, looking at the glittering Runes on the 'Towered Building' in front of her, Vivian began drooling. She was so excited that she decided to forgive that lump of metal for almost insulting her.

Ignoring the two quarreling individuals, Frank exited his Mindscape and looked at his surroundings. The floor of the cave was covered in blood while the walls were now glowing in different colors from earlier.  Looking at this sight, he thought 'This place might develop some good Runes in the future.' Standing, he checked his body but there were no visible changes. He walked out of the cave and saw the lush green forest. The sun was currently out in the sky bathing the environment in hue. The Elemental Essence was still unbearably low but he had to make do for now. 'Let us try some simple spells first.'

'Rank 2 Spell - Fireball.' In his Mindscape, a Red Rune appeared and Mental Energy from his 'Elemental Sea' gathered around it and began entering the Rune. The more 'Mental Energy' it had, the brighter the Rune shone. At its highest intensity, it vanished. As they watched the scene both Vivian and Judith were stunned! A fireball appeared on Frank's hand sizzling and burning slowly increasing the surrounding temperature. However, no burns were on his hands After carefully checking the flame on his hands, he threw it a few meters away. An explosion sent rocks, plants, and other items flying. Watching this scene with scrutinizing eyes, the results were quite satisfactory.

"Both the speed of appearance and explosion range have increased. It looks like the time span for burning has increased as well.' Frank commented as he watched the scattered smoldering flames slowly burning refusing to die out.

"Next!" Another fireball appeared again and he threw it at a nearby plant. This time he watched as the flame slowly burned the plant as he controlled the temperature. Numerous other experiments were performed by Frank as well. How hot the flames could be, how far they could be shot, how wide the explosion range was and how much 'Mental Energy' could be poured into the spell. After the tests were over, the area around the cave was filled with holes and scorched earth and plants. Looking at the sun that was slowly setting, Judith commented in a grumpy tone. 

"This is going to take forever." As she had nothing to do in the 'Mindscape', she was constantly watching Frank's experiments and had grown bored. Vivian was floating near the 'Towered Building' crossed-legged staring intensely at the changing Runes. 

Frank also agreed with her but he was not impatient. After almost spending a decade in a cell with nothing to do, he had learned how to be patient and calm when performing activities. Plus the results of these tests could be the deciding factor in future fights to come. 'Know yourself first before knowing your enemy.' Taking a deep breath, he felt a little better as the 'Fire Elemental Essence' had increased due to his actions. Thinking back, he had used about 8 Rank 2 spells but he felt his Elemental Sea was only about a third empty. He began to calculate the maximum number of spells he could use and was shocked to realize it was around 40 spells. This number was insane as the maximum he had heard for Rank 2 was 15!
