Chapter 7: Chapter 7

As Frank opened his eyes, he saw the invisible wall completely vanish as the two streams of colorless water mix. As he had two 'Dao Buildings', he had two Elemental Seas.  If it weren't for 'Uncle Blood's' advice he wouldn't engage in something this risky. Cultivators who allowed even the slightest contact of two elements in their Mindscape always ended up dead as the new result was extremely volatile. It did not matter which elements they were. However, he agreed with Vivian's theory that due to his own 'Soul Force' being present in both 'Seas', it was possible to mix. After all, just like him, she also cultivated using 'Mental Energy'.

The two streams combined without any of the challenges they were expecting. The waters slowly began to move and encircle both Islands. The new sea was thrice as big meaning Frank had three times worth of 'Elemental Essence' as others in the same realm. However, Frank could not bring himself to celebrate as he saw the two 'Dao Buildings' continue to drift towards each other. He thought they would stop at a particular distance. But as they approached each other they both began to glow with the Runes flickering on them. The Palace glowed red and the tall tower glowed in a dark color! 

Seeing this Vivian said with a high alarm.

"Well, that can't be good." Agreeing Frank tried to command the Islands to stop but his efforts were futile. The Runes started glowing Blood Red and golden as well when they were 50 meters away. The golden halo around Vivian intensified now and a blood-red light flashed beside Frank. An old man with red hair and red eyes wearing a red shirt as if it were dropped in blood appeared beside him. A dark light flashed in front of him and a two-meter sword which had a dark blade and hilt appeared shaking left and right in visible confusion. Then a Boom was heard as the Island collided!

Frank's body shook and blood poured out of his mouth. Two huge Runes appeared on his body. One black and the other Red with other smaller Runes shining around them. The two colors then slowly began to mix as well. However, the process was not as peaceful as I

the earlier instance of the 'Elemental Seas' mixing. The two colors battled for supremacy as Frank's body would glow black in one instance and Red in another. The golden and blood-red colors had each taken an eye to inhabit. Hence, in the cave, a man sat with his body occasionally flashing Red and Black with his eyes glowing in different colors ad well! There was a puddle of blood slowly forming around him as blood continually poured out from his body but was not seen due to the flashing lights. Impressively, his expression did not change one bit which made it impossible for others to imagine the pain he was going through!

In his Mindscape, things were equally chaotic. Due to the merger of the Islands, the 'Elemental Sea' was billowing with waves. As soon as 'Uncle Blood' appeared all he said was.

"Young Master, you have to find a way to achieve an equilibrium between the two Runes." So Frank had been using his 'Soul Force' to interfere in the ongoing process. Whenever one color was dominating, he would pour 'Soul Force' into the other. This was massive work as seen from his avatar becoming slowly transparent indicating a severe loss in 'Soul Force.' This tiring process went on for five minutes until the colors slowly began to dominate one side. Seeing the time was right, Frank yelled out.

"It's now or never!"

"Innate skill - Rune Carving'.

A multicolored Rune appeared in front of a nearly transparent Vivian, Uncle Black, and Judith. It dived straight into the midsection of the colors and began to mix them. The new color could not be identified as it had a hint of Red, Black, gold, and other shades not visible. As the mix-up began, Frank felt his 'Soul Force' being drained at an alarming rate. He became completely transparent as if he was about to be snuffed out! Alarmed, he beckoned as the now surging 'Elemental Sea' rose and engulfed him. It looked as if he were floating in a bubble of transparent water. A red Rune appeared in front of him as he converted the 'Mental Energy' into much-needed 'Soul Force'. 

After a few moments that felt like an eternity to Vivian, the result of their experiment showed itself. A majestic 'Dao Building' appeared in front of them. Vivian couldn't determine its height as it felt like it shot up into the darkness of the skies. It was twice as large as the previous 'Dao Palace' and this made Vivian feel like she was tiny when compared to it. Its walls were flashing in different colors, Red, Black, Gold, and many more. It had three visible floors which were differentiated with three windows on each side and the rest of the building could no longer be seen. Its gate was huge and it felt like any creature regardless of its size could enter. 

As soon as the 'Towered Building' appeared Frank who was floating in the colorless bubble fell face down onto the remaining water in the 'Elemental Sea'.  However, he was floating instead of drowning. A childish voice broke the tranquility asking.

" Can someone explain to me what just happened?" The voice which came from the floating sword was laced with curiosity. After all, she suddenly appeared in her master's soundscape and saw his two 'Elemental Seas' and  'Dao Buildings' merge. She could also speak now and had a 'Soul Form' as well. This was unheard of and very strange. Both Vivian and Frank who was now facing skyward both looked at Uncle Blood but just as she expected, his words were cryptic.

"The day you can answer this question is the day you are strong to take revenge on your father'. As she watched him disappear Vivian felt that all the old cultivators were just the same.
