Ron kept on walking slowly as the people beside him automatically paved way for him sensing the sadness that was emanating from his whole self. A few who were occupied with their own thoughts didn't noticed him and accidentally bumped into him but these bumps meant little to Ron compared to the all the bumps life gave him till now.

Everyone he depended on till now has died. Is he a curse? Anyone who's good to him ends up dying or getting into some trouble. It was the same with his friends as a result he distanced himself from all of them...not for himself but for their own good.

It was the same for his boss, he didn't realised but subconsciously he had already made up his mind that he was gonna depend on his boss for all his troubles. From just being with her for less than a day he was confident enough in her capabilities. Her giving his sister a helping hand changed her position in his heart from a boss to a benefactor.

Ron had thought that his troubles were finally going away after his boss gave him a ray of hope yesterday but that was far from the truth. 'Is it wrong for me to depend on others? When I don't have anything worth mentioning isn't depending on others my only option...then why is it that whenever completely depend on someone they disappear from my life?' Ron thought to himself while moving lifelessly.

Unbeknownst to him he was now crossing a road and a truck was approaching him with very fast speed. Even though the driver noticed Ron he thought that he would move away quickly with a horn but the hawking sound only woke Ron from his stupor. The driver who became irritated was now forced to press the brakes only for him to find out that his breaks were no longer functional.

'What's this sound?' Ron thought to himself as he slowly turned his head towards the source. His eyes widened seeing the truck that was almost about to hit him.

'Am I gonna die? No! I can't leave Lily all alone in this world and let her suffer!' with this in mind Ron used all the strength that he could muster in those few fractions of seconds to move away from the truck's path.

The driver turned the steering wheels forcefully to avoid hitting Ron but it was too late for it. The trunk passed through the point where Ron was previously standing and turned over as it started sliding due to the huge momentum.

Ron stared at all this from the other side of the road as he gasped heavily. He should have died by being hit by the truck but at last moment he managed to slip through the collision path and here he was now sitting on his butt as he gasped for here and looking at the chaos filled atmosphere.

His gaze shifted towards the place he was earlier standing. There was a visible dent in this ground which was of the shape of his shoe. His pant vibrated making him take out his smartphone.

"Dear STC bank user, your A/c ending with 447 has been credited with 1,500,000 Bolocks ...."

Ron's eyes widened before filling with ecstasy looking at so many digits. Afraid of him reading the message incorrectly he double checked it by reading it again. Ron quickly stood up on his feet and rushed to the nearest ATM machine not even caring about whether the truck driver was alive or not.

After inserting his card and putting in his pin number, he checked his bank balance. Ron finally took a sigh of relief seeing that the the money was indeed in his account. Ron quicky took out his phone and called a number.

"Yes, Ron what happened?" a voice answered.

"Dr Steward, I've collected enough money for my sister's treatment. Can you fill me in with the procedures I need to do for my sister's surgery?" Ron said in a firm voice.

Dr Steward was aware from his earlier interactions with Ron that he was not a person who would lie on such matters so he quickly told him what he needed to know. ".....For now buy the medicines which I've told you and include it in your sister's daily diet. We need to prepare her body for the surgery so this is a necessary step." Dr Steward ended his instructions with that.

Ron nodded and remembered each and every word of Dr Steward and then ended the call after thanking him. Ron after walking for a while reached an open park and sat on bench that was placed there for pedestrians.

*Sigh*

Ron finally relaxed his mind and body by taking a deep sigh. He looked at his surroundings which wasn't quite crowded thanks to this being the office hours and the blazing sun was also to blame for the quite surrounding.

Ron sat there and quietly made plans in his regarding what his next steps shit be. He got enough money for his sister's treatment. A quarter of it would be left after his sister's surgery but that naturally won't be enough to make her live a comfortable life. He needed to earn more money now otherwise he'll just return back to the earlier situation.

Ron wanted to invest the rest of the money is something that would be have a high likelihood of giving him an endless source of income. Ron thought about it for a while but whatever that came in his mind needed some knowledge, knowledge which he lacked currently.

Learning new things especially through books was something that he was really not fond of but since he was left with no choice now he decided to start from learning about the stock market and property investments.

Ron sighed again, this time thinking about what all needed to be done. He laid back on the seat and took his head all the way back to relax. After a while a pleasant cool wind started blowing which made Ron raise his head. The moment he raised his head a poster slapped his face and got stuck to it.

Ron who's mood just got spoiled, removed the poster from his face and was ready to throw it in the dustbin but the heading caught his interest.

"DO YOU WANT TO BE A FIGHTER? DO YOU WANT TO MAKE QUICK MONEY AND BE RECOGNISED BY THE WORLD? ETERNAL FIGHTING CHAMPIONSHIP(EFC) TITLE IS WHAT YOU SHOULD BE AIMING FOR THEN!...."

The catchy title did it's job of attracting Ron's attention and the moment he did he couldn't help but think about the dent his leg made on the road today. 'Could I've somehow grown stronger?' Ron thought to himself.

In order to test it out Ron thought of punching the seat on which he was currently sitting on with his left hand. He raised his hand up and then punched it on the rocky seat with force enough to make his knuckle hurt a lot without breaking it.

*CHUK*

The sound of a crack entered Ron's ears. Ron removed his hand and seeing the small crack along with a very slight outline of his first he made up his mind on what he needed to do.
