Chapter 8: Ch7 New skills

The journey back on the moose was silent after John explained to Mel, Jen and Jens party member, Silvan, what was going on.

They didn't want to believe it but being on the back of one of the overlords made them believe it a little. A god? 

"We will be there soon, you can judge for yourself.." John knew that it sounded weird. Who would believe that one would stumble upon a being from legends? He did trust Tania's knowledge even if he didn't dare to believe it himself.

Soon the people on the moose had a shock of their life. They saw three other Monarchs lazily on the ground before a clearing. Before the wolf was even a beastwoman prostrating her making low whimpering noises. 

"Mhm say human called John, didn't you say TWO humans? Why do I count 16 including you?" A voice was heard in their minds which made Silvan flinch. He too was a mage.

"Great God! I couldn't just take only my wife and daughter with me after knowing the state of the other people. Please forgive this one! As for these people, they want to..want to worship your grace!" Johns mind suddenly head a headache and almost fell down.

"Take this as your punishment. I don't like liars. Well, as you all are already here come to me..also..if you don't want to have that girl eaten for annoying someone..." Pond meant it, he could feel that the only thing holding Big Wolf back was the rule of no blood in a hundred meter radius.

Silvan on the back leaned towards Jen and whispered something in her ear which made her tense up. John didn't lie?! Well she already fathom it after seeing four Monarchs being tame as puppies.

The moose slowly walked in and lowered its body so the people could heave the box down. After doing that did a water tentacle form and gently stretched towards the moose.

She happily opend her mouth and drank some before galloping away like a little kid. 

While most newcomers were trembling, Mel didn't. His face became flushed and breathed heavily in and out. 

It didn't take long for Jen and Silvan to feel something change inside them too. Their minds became clear and they could feel some old wounds heal up themself!

"Wha-what is this place?" Jen couldn't help but mutter. When someone reached their peak it was really hard to take even half a step forward but breathing the air here was as good as several years of meditating!

"Hmm, well.. let's call it Pond Sanctuary. I'm a pond and this is my sanctuary. Fitting name I would say."

After hearing Pond did they finally realize where they were. The presence of a god! No wonder John was so feverish about this place!

"I'm sorry for my rude behaviour! My name is Jennifer and this is Silvan! We greet your grace!" Silvan didn't speak, he just bowed and sat down and tried to feel the energy around him.

"You don't have to be so stuck up, after having these three here for some hours I know that you humans aren't so good to hide your emotions."

After hearing Ponds voice they finally did remember the trio they left here.

John was holding Wer to not let her crawl back to the wolf but what about the other two? They soons saw Sammy grinning silly to himself while Tania had a drop floating before her with a thinkfull face.

John had a wry smile, why was his team made up of weirdos? Well he was one too! He bowed with Wer in his arms and finally said for what he came here.

"Please, heal these people! I will forever be in your debt and will not flinch even if you want my life!"

Several tentacles stretched themself out of the pond before opening the box and taking out the people. Laying them side by side to each other.

"You call this bad? Wolf over there was more on the brink of that. Is the art of healing lost in the human world?"

Pond was puzzled, after having seen them and touching with his tentacles he knew what was wrong. There wasn't poison or a curse. Their blood was being remolded to some black gue.

The tentacles made some droos appear and let them slide into their mouths before the people on the ground convulsed and something akin to black tard came out of their pores.

Pond waved his tentacles again and the black tard evaporated. 

"That should do it.. "

The people who weren't in their own world for several reason gasped. Who didn't knew the Black Rest. It was illness which had only few cures. With some water drops they were healed?

It was at this moment that Tania finally opend her mouth.

"This is nothing... I believe that all of those people will become mages in no time...this drops of water..no this Holy Drops aren't something a mortal could enjoy"

Everyone except Sammy was stunned by Tania's words. Pond was the first one to ask her.

"How do you mean that?" Tania was now the one to be surprised, didn't it know what these drops were capable of?

"You made them, don't tell me you don't know how much these defy the logic of the world?" After saying it did Tania realize that her words were to prosperous. Luckily did Pond not dwell on it.

"Hmm, I know that they can give sapience to sentient beings. I also know that thwy can be used for nutritions and have some effects on the body. What do you mean with them becoming mages though?"

The Monarchs who were still in the radius of the telepathy swallowed hard. Not good, didn't they tell it?!?

As for the humans, they too swallowed hard. They could what? No wonder Tania said these drops weren't things mortals could enjoy!

A muffled boom was heard and all looked at Mel who ooend his eyes wide with a wide smile on his face.

"Hahahahah these old bones aren't done yet! Revenge is now possible!" Mel was happy, let alone the curse, his old wounds were mended too!

He immediately kneeled towards the pond and worshiped it. Pond didn't know what to think of it. Even those living on the mountain didn't overreact like that.

As he flew over his skill he found the the reason, probably hit lebel A but why did it changet was the other question. His mind wandered to the humans he just saved and Mel. Maybe?
