"So... what do you think?" I ask Peter while putting the thermal bag on the shaded grass.
"The pinetum is good, but maybe near the turtle pond or the lake, it would have been better." He replies while sitting down, unconvinced by my choice.
"Maybe, but there we will be swarmed by other people," I say while deploying our blanket near the bag.
"That's true," Peter replies before moving to the bag and asking, "So what did you bring for our picnic?"
I start answering him as I lie down on the blanket, "I brought a pasta salad and a bunch of cookies."
"Not bad. So what do we do now?" Peter asks, unsure of how our date should proceed.
Signaling him to sit beside me, I answer, "Nothing, we relax here cuddling until we are hungry, and then we eat."
"That's all?" He asks again, not really convinced by my reply.
Seeing his expression, I roll my eyes, replying with a question of my own, "Pete, What do you expect to do on a picnic date?"
"Dunno, I never went on one..." He replies, embarrassed by the remark.
Seeing his cute blush, I can only pat the ground beside me and ask, "Come here and let me hug you, ok?"
Hearing my request, Peter can only sigh at my antics before moving to the blanket. Lying near me, he let himself be hugged before returning the gesture and kissing me.
I appreciate a small chaste kiss, as I know that Peter is still unused to display his affection publicly.
After the kiss ends, I start grooming his hair, untying the knots that the travel has produced while a slow wind keeps us fresh in the shades of the pines.
Minutes pass uneventfully, as the lazy air of a summer morning keeps us from moving out of the shade and move around.
I keep caressing my lover as the rustling of the leaves drowns the sounds of the city, creating the perfect atmosphere.
Soon I can feel Peter grow restless, uncomfortable in his inactivity, and as I do, I ask him. "What's on your mind?"
"Nothing specific, I simply think that we should be out there helping people and not here doing nothing..." Peter replies, feeling guilty for not being out there.
"I know..." I say while caressing him, taking my time to choose my words, "... But we can't always be there, and we need to disconnect and relax too, or we will break."
"I know, you already explained it," Peter replies, squirming in my lap, unconvinced by my words.
Watching his pouting face, I kiss him for a couple of seconds before reminding him why we are here. "And today is our second month anniversary, so don't be a workaholic and relax. No hero work for us today."
A slight blush creeps on his face while his eyes dart around us, embarrassed by the thought of someone watching us.
"No one is watching us, even if they were, let them see," I say before moving over him.
"Sig?!" He nearly shouts, surprised by my sudden movement.
Seeing the blush on Peter's face, I can't stop myself from teasing him, "Don't worry, I won't go overboard, only a bit of cuddling..."
Before he could say anything, I kiss him, sealing his lip and preventing any protest.
While I explore Peter's mouth, I keep him pinned down, feeling his accelerated heartbeat through our thin clothes.
It doesn't take long for Peter to start squirming under my body, uncomfortable for being in such a position in front of others.

Soon we start rolling around, with Peter trying to untangle himself while I tried to keep in pinned, kissing him now and then to break his actions.
It took him several minutes to free himself, leaving him panting, blushing, and full of grass blades.
He starts looking around the second that he does, trying to see if our display of affection has drowned someone's attention.
It didn't take long for him to notice a couple of old people watching us with the classic smile of someone who remembers their youth.
Having noticed our audience, Peter both pales and reddens at the same time before hissing, "Why. Did. You. Do. That?"
"Because you are beautiful when you are blushing..." I say while grinning, enamored of his disheveled appearance.
Hearing my words, he reddens even more, turning to the same color of a ripe apple.
Before he could reply to my words, I give him a swift kiss, caressing his red cheeks and picking the grass from his hair.
Wanting to tease him more, I ask, "So do you want to have lunch now, or do you want me to keep eating you?"
"Sig?!" Peter shouts, embarrassed by my remark, turning even redder than before as he notices the snickering of the old couple watching us.
"Come on, don't be so stiff. You love our kisses as much as I do..." I say, smirking while I keep teasing him.
"People are staring, aren't you embarrassed?" Peter asks, uncomfortable in the situation.
"Why should I? I am simply kissing my beautiful boyfriend." I reply with a sincere smile and the tone of someone stating the obvious.
Stopping him before he could say anything, I start explaining with a deep expression. "I can't really understand how someone able to fight with the Avengers can be scared of being seen kissing their boyfriend, but it doesn't matter. I shouldn't make you uncomfortable by forcing you into this kind of situation, even if I really want the world to see that we are a couple. I'm sorry Pete."
Hearing my words Peter is shocked for a couple of seconds, before a warm smile appears on his face, eliminating all the embarrassment. "Sometimes I forget that we are both inexperienced in the same way. I know that you want everyone around us to know of our relationship and, while you don't find it embarrassing that people are watching us as we cuddle, I do."
"Sorry, I got carried away..." I say while scratching my head, feeling guilty for my thoughtlessness.
Seeing my dejected face, Peter can't stop himself from consoling me. "Don't worry about it, the fact that I find it embarrassing doesn't mean that I don't like your attention, only that I prefer to receive them in private."
I see as he became redder as he speaks, even if my attention is fully on his words.
A smile appears again on my face as he stops speaking, and only a feat of willpower makes me able to resist the need to kiss him.
Before I am unable to stop myself, I decide to start speaking again, "What I did it's still wrong. I shouldn't force you to do something uncomfortable, even if your embarrassed face it's too cute..."
"Sig..." Peter replies while turning red again, still unused to be called cute.
"You are so beautiful when you are blushing... I am really lucky to have found you." While I speak, I watch him turn even redder and cuter until I can't stop myself from kissing him anymore.
Throwing myself on his lips, I give him a deep kiss that ends only when both of us are panting for the lack of air.
"I really love you, Pete," I say while I pant, trying to regain my breath.
Contrary to my expectations, a couple of hands found themselves on my yaw, and soon, Peter's lips are on mine, but only after he replies to my words, "I love you too, Sig."
