Chapter 2: Mining 2 – The System

As I have killed Ryo, I didn't feel any sort of emotion. I didn't feel regret on what I did to him. I didn't even forgive him. I started overthinking if what I did was truly right. And that huge monster appeared right in front of me. An SSS - Class Boss. It was fast as hell. I wouldn't have been able to see this boss if I haven't gotten this system. The Boss then rushed towards me to attack. I dodged and kicked him to the wall. I took Ryo's sword and started running towards the Boss. The Boss recovered and we exchanged hits. I threw the sword on the air and kicked the Boss' legs to make him fall onto the ground. I leaped and reached the sword. I posed a stance that I once saw in a game. The Boss started casting an explosive magic spell towards me. I thought, "I've gotten stronger... Then, I'll get even stronger than those S - Class Warriors and help the ones in need." I shouted, "Take this!" The Boss threw its attack but it didn't matter. As long as I'm in this state, I was confident that I wouldn't die. I threw the sword towards the Boss, dealing the final damage. I landed and earned a lot of experience points from that kill. I sat down and rested, thinking, "What would have happened if I didn't try to save those girls? What would have happened if the Boss appeared before that? What would have happened if I didn't got this power..." I sighed. I didn't really care about those questions afterward.

 

*Outside the Dungeon*

Due to the Dungeon changing color to black, the crowd started to cover the Dungeon. The 'DCM' or the 'Dungeon Control Management' started to push the crowd away and started requesting for some S - Class Warriors. After a couple of minutes, no one still responded to the request. Fumiko and the others left the Dungeon around that time. The DCM helped Fumiko and the others. "Is there someone inside still?", said by a DCM agent. " Naoko replied, "Yes... Unfortunately." Naoko and the others looked away from the agent. "Is he dead?", asked the agent. Naoko turned around and hugged the others for that single question. The agent noticed and stopped the questioning.

 

*After a couple of minutes*

The people got surprised when the Dungeon color became normal and saw me, a miner who left the Dungeon which was a Class - SSS. Fumiko noticed me and asked, "Naoko, isn't that... Ichiyo?" Without any hesitation, Naoko ran towards me. She gave me a tight hug. I could feel two, bouncy things in front of me. I hesitated to do anything stupid. I tried to calm down and hugged her back. Fumiko, Eri and Aisa started running towards us. Naoko said, "I'm glad you're okay." I smiled and replied, "Thank you... for worrying about me." We stopped embracing. Afterward, Fumiko started grinning. Naoko asked, "What's your problem? I was just worried." Fumiko smiled and replied, "I haven't even said anything yet." Eri then tapped onto my shoulder. I leaned over to what she was going to say to me. Eri whispered, "Thank you... for saving me back there." I replied, "It wasn't me that saved you. It was Naoko that saved you." Eri shook her head and said, "Without you, Naoko, Fumiko, Aisa and me would have been raped by that guy. So we're grateful to you... the man who saved us." I smiled and replied, "Then... it was a pleasure, saving you four." Aisa interrupted us and said, "Ichiyo... I'm grateful to you. If you want to, you can have my v-virginity." Naoko smacked Aisa's head and shouted, "What the hell are you trying to do, Aisa?!" After that, they started laughing. I wondered... when was the last time I experienced this.

An agent then interrupted us and asked, "I heard that this was supposed to be a Class - B Dungeon. Am I correct?" Fumiko answered, "Yeah, it was a Class - B Dungeon." The agent asked, "Did you know that the Dungeon turned black?" The girls shook their head. The agent walked towards me and asked, "So... how did you manage to defeat the Boss?" I asked the agent, "Could we... talk about this matter alone? I don't want to attract too much attention." The agent respected my wishes and said, "Sure, here's my business card. Call me whenever you feel like talking to me." And with that, the DCM left the venue. However, there was no sign that the crowd was going to go away. I said, "There are a lot of people. It would be pretty hard to get out of here." Naoko tapped onto my shoulders. I asked, "What is it, Naoko?" Naoko answered, "We have a car so why don't you come with us?" Without thinking too much, I answered, "Sure, if it's not a problem with you guys." Naoko smiled and replied, "There's no problem at all. After all, you're the one that saved us all."

 

*Inside the car*

Inside of the car, I have been placed in a hard situation. Fumiko said, "That was quite tiring." Naoko continued, "That's right, it really was." Eri agreed and replied, "Many things might have happened to us inside that Dungeon but I'm glad we were all safe." I was between all of the girls. It felt like I was having a real harem. Aisa continued, "And we'll need to thank the one who saved us." I asked, "What do you mean by that?" All of them smiled and giggles. I asked, "What's the matter? Did I say something wrong?" Eri answered, "It's not like that. It was just that... you're very different from other men." Aisa agrees and continued, "That's correct. Many of them just wanted to mate with girls like us." I replied, "I see..." Aisa smiles and said, "But I'm glad that you're the one who saved us." The girls then went silent because of that. They were all only looking at me. I asked, "Um... Is there something on my face?" The girls then started laughing. Fumiko said, "You really are a funny one, Ichiyo." I replied, "Thanks for the compliment, I guess." I thought that it was fun, spending time with Fumiko and the others. Even though we've only just met, I think that it's not bad to have subordinates.

As I thought of that, Naoko's head went onto my shoulder. I noticed that Fumiko, Eri, Aisa and Naoko had fallen asleep. I smiled, thinking of how peaceful they were sleeping. The driver then said, "Sir, thank you for saving the heirs of their family. If they would have perished, the family would start fighting in order to find out on who truly should be the one to rule their families." I didn't give it any thought and replied, "It was no problem at all." The silence then went on and I have arrived my destination. "Sir, this is my destination." I said. The driver then stopped the car. I carefully placed Naoko's head to Aisa's head and I went out the car. It was hard since I didn't want to wake them up. I closed the door and went to the driver. I said, "Please, take care of them." The driver nodded and replied, "That's my job." He closed the windows and locked the doors. He then went on his way. While I was entering my apartment, I thought that maybe, just maybe... I could marry one of them.

 

*Inside the apartment*

I changed my clothes and laid down onto my bed. I then opened the system that saved my life from Ryo and that monster.

I thought, "Isn't this too much..." However, that didn't stop me from getting stronger. I started following the "EVERYDAY EXERCISES". For the first time doing these exercises, I felt like I was going to die. It gradually got better each day and now, a week has passed. My body has clearly changed. I've gotten taller and more muscular. I look nothing like the old me. "System", I said. The System then appeared right in front of me.

I thought, "I gained 5 levels? Looks like all of the exercises I did were all worth it." I closed the System. "One more week and June's going to be here. School time is going to be back. Maybe, I shouldn't just enroll. I need to work my ass off in order to pay for my little sister's tuition and to help my parents." My phone then rang and it was a phone call from my little sister, Nagamine Mika.

I answered the phone call. "Hello, Mika. How's it going?", I asked. "I'm doing good. How are you?", Mika answered. I sat down on the bed and said, "Well... Let's just say that I'm doing fine." Mika replied, "This is what I don't like about you. Anyways, mother wants you to enter the 'Hiroto Warrior University'." I got surprised and asked, "Why should I?" Mika sighs and answered, "Mother said that it was your dream to become one." I replied, "Well, it's kind of true." Mika then said, "Mother already sent all the things that they needed so you just need to show up and do the entrance exam. I doubt that you'll enter so just do your best. That's all. I'm busy studying for the entrance exam so I gotta go." Mika then hangs up the phone. I said, "Looks like she didn't want to talk to me because she's busy, studying for her entrance exam."

I then placed my phone away and sighed. I laid back on the bed and thought, "The 'Hiroto Warrior University'... A university where all of the students will undergo tests to enhance their capability of being a Warrior. Many people have tried to enter the university but have failed, miserably. I don't have something to do so I think I'll try to enter." I stood up and looked at the mirror. I said, "Looks like I need to get a haircut." After that, I took my wallet and got ready to go to a salon.

 

*Arrival inside the salon*

I entered the salon and saw a woman, reading a book. She noticed me and walked towards me. She asked, "Hello. Are you here to get your hair fixed?" I answered, "Yes, if you could." She then replied, "Well then, please sit down here." I sat down like she said. She said, "My name is Fukuhara Kaoru. Call me Kaoru. What's yours?" I answered, "I'm Nagamine Ichiyo." Kaoru smiles and then replied, "Well then, Ichiyo. Let's start by washing your hair."
