"So are you just staring at me all menacingly, because if so?

I have got to say this is not the weirdest lucid nightmare I've had.

Now why it's in a black void, got no idea." I said blandly to the creature in front of me with a black hole for a head.

"This is no dream, mortal. This is your purgatory for all the selfless deeds you performed without care for yourself.

You will go to hell like all the others suffering for eternity till your soul finally shatters and reincarnates into multiple different worlds." said the being with a black hole that seemed to act like a ROB

"Huh, this is one of those days again where I hope for everything to be over so much that I hallucinate getting a ROB speaking to me.

And you are sending me to high school dxd right bit weird that your face is just a black hole, though.

But my mind is weird, so not surprising." I'm not amused at what was happening, having had this happen to me far too much.

"This also isn't one of those fantasies you came up with while you were alive, mortal." said the black hole guy, unamused.

"Eh, then tell me how is it I died if I'm am dead.

Because I remember nothing that rings a bell, I know it wasn't me that did it." I said, bored, having heard this song and dance so much in my life.

"You died from getting crushed alive while stocking a shelf at work after you had done two weeks of 84-hour shifts in a row with no rest or proper nutrition.

And so your body gave out on you while you were on a ladder, and you attempted to save yourself by grabbing hold of the shelving, causing it to cause your death." The black hole sounded like an amused tone.

"Well shit, I died because that sounds like something that could happen to me with all of my luck in life, for god's sake, sometimes.

I would pull all kinds of good shit in life, and then I would get fucked over twice as bad, so what's the deal with you talking with me." I said in a shocked voice.

"I require some entertainment. Currently, you desire freedom from the chains which are called your past.

So I shall help us get what we both want, of course, to ensure you don't die too quickly. I'll grant you three abilities for your usage." said the ROB.

"And I'm going to assume I don't have a choice over this, though I guess it doesn't matter.

Who does it? You could use anyone you just happened to find me or something of the sort?" I said blandly.

"Hmm, it would seem you aren't entirely clueless now. Are you mortal?

Then as a gift, ill send you to the world where you desired to go to high school dxd. For now, roll your abilities." the ROB said in an amused tone.

As soon as he said this, three different wheels came into focus in front of me. All different kinds of abilities were on it, far too many to count.

Some were from animes, and some were just ordinary powers you would find anywhere. Heck, there was even omnipotence on the wheel.

I reached my hand to the first lever and pulled it. After a few moments of it spinning, it landed on causal link.

Then I got a brief explanation of what it could do put in my head.

It was an effortless but powerful ability that could save me from many threats as long as they had minions.

I then reached my hand towards the wheel again, hoping for another good pull.

It spun again until it finally landed on restoration. I was at first disappointed, thinking I merely got a healing spell.

But then the info on it got put into my head.

It had healing applications, as I believed, but it did not just heal the living. It could also repair inorganic items to their peak state.

A power which would be destructive in dxd with the many destroyed items of power and sleeping disease patients in the underworld

Now was the time for me to pull for my last ability.

All my pulls so far had been perfect so, so I could only hope the next one would be just as good, and thus I pulled the lever for the last time.

And I couldn't believe my eyes on what I had landed on. It was omniscient.

I didn't need an explanation to understand what it was. I had seen so many works and so many dreams of having power like this.

But sickness had weakened my body, causing all my talents to go to waste, causing my claws to be dulled and my fangs to be pulled out.

I now had thousands of plans building up in my mind to make me an even more serious threat to make me able to indulge even more in myself.

Until I had everything that could be offered, my mind was already drifting to my absolute victory. Nothing could stop me, for knowledge is the ultimate weapon I had in my life and my soon-to-be next one.

While thinking this, a face I had kept hidden from all in my past life was surfacing.

It was the look of a beast who had found the perfect prey prepared to strike at a moment's notice.

It was the look of my true broken self, which was held together merely by my care for my family.

And fear that my indulgence would destroy everything being built for us.

"Sorry to interrupt you, mortal, but I still have something to inform you.

First, you will be inserted into the body of an individual I've created as a vessel for you with your powers.

And second of all, You cannot fully handle omniscience with how you currently are, so ill give your body access to dark divinity.

The only difference between it and an ordinary divinity is it's usually formed via impure thoughts or actions, so don't worry about being called an evil god or something of the sort unless you do something worthy of it.

Also, ill tell you how omniscience will work for you.

While you can gain knowledge on anything, you will face physical feedback depending on how much you know about the subject.

For example, if you were a highly skilled surgeon and used this power to know the location of a human heart, you would face no feedback.

Now, if you asked where a wolf's heart is, you would face the feedback of a nosebleed at worst.

And finally, if you asked to know the location of a god's heart, well, you would be dead with nothing else to it, " said annoyedly.

"Okay, so don't ask questions about things. I would be incapable of knowing of an attempt to know at least a smidge of what I want to do or find out, so are you ready to send me off or what." I said with a smirk on my face.

"Yes, we are, but I have one more thing to say. You should get that luck problem checked out because it just messed with you right there, mortal." the ROB said in what sounded amused.

"Wait, don't tell me it happened again," I yelled in annoyance.

"Yes, it did, mortal. See you later. Hopefully not too soon though it would be a shame if my entertainment went away so quickly." the ROB said while waving his hand as a white light surrounded me.
