Chapter 40: The Rescue (Part 2)

After going with my sis back to Yura's house, we gathered our stuff to go outside to save the elves that were being kidnapped. 

My sis had now become another person, did not look like her previous anymore so I was very worried.

"Sarah! Do it hurry!" - My sis shouted loud to me when I was gathering my gear for the rescue

My SA had been turned on, I had worn my Alrotz military bag, my rifle had now fully loaded, also my pistol, all.

"Let's go!" - My sis said to me

"SA, record the map and show it on your screen!"

"Roger that!"

"From now on, call me Captain, SA!"

"Roger that, Captain!"

"Sarah! Command your SA to scan the map, here's the map, place it in front of your SA for the scan!" - My sis handed over to me the map that contained the No Man Zone area

Then I placed the map in front of SA, waiting for the scan, few seconds passed, I got a notification.

"Scan completed!"

Then we walked outside of Zaira village, my sis had scanned the entire area of the village so I just need to look at the map. We were now about to go out of the village's entrance, two elves guards had noticed our appearance, they stepped close, about to point their weapons at us.

"You two humans, who are you!" - One of the elf guards shouted loud to us while pointing their spears at us, some guards from far away also pointed their bows at us when they saw us

Wait! The elf guard that shouted to us looked very familiar, I remembered seeing him somewhere.

"Ahh! You two are the guests of the prophet! How can I help you two?" - He was so scared so he politely asked us while drawing back his spear

"We want to go outside for the rescue, let us go!" - My sis said to that guard

"Ah! So you two have been approved by the elder to do it, please you two! Please save Her Highness and also our people!"

"Then why don't you people step away, you are blocking our way!" - Sis! What was wrong with you?

"Ah! Sorry! Guys, step away from these people, they are going to save our people!" - That guard shouted to the others, after hearing what he said, the guards started moving away from us

When we were going away from the village, those elves' guards had made an act that looked like a military salute to us. 

How much did the man who was the ancestor of Yura has affected these elves?

Then we went outside and headed into No Man Zone, as we could see on the map that was recorded by SA. 

We had gone out of the village and our marks were now only two arrows in the middle of the forest.

But what we were gonna do? We cannot confirm where was exactly the location of the kidnappers, the mission would be failed easily because of that way.

"Sis! How can we confirm the location of the kidnappers? Didn't this mission is too reckless?"

"Sarah! Call me Commander!" - Sis, can you stop?

"But sis!"

"Call me Commander! Sarah!"

"Yes, Commander!"

Then I saw that my sis pointed her hand into the sky, I looked up and saw the sky now had a dark cloud.

It seemed to be about to rain, so what was her intention for telling me that?

"I don't understand, Commander!"

"We will use that rain to make our advantage, the area between the village and the border of Kahn Kingdom is not far, the kidnappers must be still around."

"They have a Princess and her people as their hostages, think, Sarah! What if they use that little girl's life to exchange the treasures from the King?"

"And also, the way that soldier got attacked and he ran to the village that means the location of the kidnappers is not that far, they must be around here somewhere."

"It's about to rain now, they must have set up a camp to stay somewhere until it's done raining, they even have the Princess with them. Why don't you think they would intend to rape her and her people, Sarah?" - What was my sis talked about? I didn't understand at all

Then I noticed that the sky had now started popping some water, it must be raining right now.

My sis had already worn her raincoat, only I didn't so I had to take my raincoat from the bag to wear it. 

We had to keep going deep into the forest after that, looking at the SAs to know if they could scan for us the appearance of humans or not.

"Captain! Did you see those 4 green dots away from your position 478 yards ( 437 meters ) on my screen? They must be humans, please go closer to the area forward, I will keep the scanning."

Then my sis and I went forward to the area that SA said to us, my sis chose to go on the high ground. 

We were now crawling up a position that I considered a small hill, my sis was now looking down the ground by using her M21 Sniper Rifle.

"Sarah, check the coordinate!" - My sis ordered me, I also looked with her by using my binoculars

I looked around the area that I considered to be away from us about 350 yards (320 meters) from the position of the hill to its position. SA had notified us that it found about 91 signals of humans, most of them must be kidnappers I think.

I saw about three horse wagons, they looked quite big, I also saw kept my eyes around and saw three tents, they must have been set up recently. 

I saw about 10 men that looked like soldiers holding spears and bows going patrol the area.

"SA, you can record the sound, right? If down there have conversations, let me hear it!" - My sis ordered SA

"You too, Sarah! Order your SA to turn on its Special Conversation and wear your Airpods!"

Then I took a pair of AirPods out from my pocket and wore them into my ears, my sis had already worn her airpods and her SA had already changed into its Special Conversation.

"Sarah, Special Conversation activated!" - My SA notified me

Then we started recording sounds of conversations down the hill, after a few seconds, both of our SAs had returned to us.

"Haha! Me! Let' hav som fu wit thi Princes!" 

(Haha! Men! Let's have some fun with this Princess!) - We heard a voice that saying in some kind of language that was a bit similar to our English but we cannot understand it at all

"Hehehe!" - Those voices seemed to be laughing sounds

"No!...do...st...awa...fro..e 

(No! Do not! Stay away from me!) - I also heard a voice from a woman but I cannot hear her say it precisely. The record must be corrupted a bit due to the rain

Then I noticed that the rain had now more decent than before, the sound of the rain was very loud. 

If we didn't wear our Airpods, we wouldn't have heard what our SAs said.

"Sarah! Sarah!" - My sis shouted loud to me, her voice seemed to be a bit small, maybe that was the rain that caused it

"We will take the advantage of the rain to kill the soldiers that doing the guard, I have already placed a silencer for my rifle. Now tell me the coordinate of the enemies!"

Then I looked around with my binoculars, I saw a soldier that was standing farthest from the others. I looked closely at the coordinate that was written on my binoculars.

"Visual on target, 300 yards (274 meters). Shoot! Shoot! Shoot!" - Though I hated killing but that was my sis's order

"Bang!" - The first shot had been fired

The soldier that got shot, I saw something popped in his chest then that man fell to the ground. 

The others didn't notice his death, maybe the rain and the silencer had helped us.

The sky started raining more louder, my sis had ordered me to show her the coordinate of the enemy with a loud shout but I could barely hear her. The rain was very loud.

"Visual on target, 332 yards (303 meters) to the left. Shoot! Shoot! Shoot!" - I took all of my breath to make a loud voice

"Bang!" - The second shot had been fired, but no attention from the enemy yet

After that gunshot, I saw a man that looked to be a mage, he wore red hood clothes, holding a staff, going outside of the tent when the second soldier got shot a few seconds ago.

Did he hear the shot? No! He was bringing something with him along with his magic staff, looked like a cup of water.

That man saw that soldier's corpse now, but seemed like he didn't know it yet, he was trying to get close to that dead soldier

"Bang!" - The third shot, my sis suddenly shot it, that mage had been shot to the chest and now lying on the ground

"Keep going, Sarah!"

Then we kept shooting the soldiers that doing the guard until they died all of them, after that, my sis ordered me to go with her down the hill. We managed to get into an enemy tent for now, seemed like they didn't notice our appearances at all.

I saw two soldiers sleeping on the ground next to each other. 

The ground they were sleeping in had now been covered with yellow things that looked like mats.

The rain out there was so loud, I only saw those two guys in the tent, where were the others, they were now gathering in the other tents or what?

What should we do with these guys? Maybe doing something to make them pass out, I wanted to avoid killing as much as possible.

"What should we do, si-?" - I whispered to my sis 

But before I could end my line, my sis had already pulled out her KA-BAR knife then stick it into one of two soldiers' throats. 

I saw that soldier's eyes were so panicked when he got stabbed, my sis had used her other hand to cover that soldier's mouth while his throat was draining out a lot of blood, my sis even pushed the knife deeper into his throat. 

"S-" - I was about to shout aloud because of panic but my sis had covered my mouth tight by using her hand, her hand was now still covered with a bit blood of from that soldier

"Sarah, you must grow up now! This is war, this is killed or be killed, used to it by watching my killing path." - My sis whispered to me. Were you my sis? How could you kill people without hesitation or regret?

Then I had to watch my sis stab the other soldier, the second stab was more brutal.

When that soldier had been stabbed into his throat but still fighting for his life by trying to reach his hands to my sis's throat.

That was so brutal! I wanted to vomit when I saw that scene, but my sis said she would crush my throat when I said to her I wanted to vomit. 

So I managed to calm down by avoiding my eyes from the killing scenes, I always took my eyes away when I was about to see my sis killing someone.

After killing the soldiers on the first tent, we moved to the second one, there were three soldiers inside. 

They also slept but only one soldier slept while he was sitting on a corner of the tent, the others were lying on the mats, that man must have overslept while doing the guard

Then, as always, my sis killed those soldiers by stabbing the knife into their throats without no hesitation, her eyes were now very emotionless.

I only saw death in those eyes, that woman was not my sis anymore! Not anymore! That was not my sis! That was a psycho, my sis had gone away!

Then we peeked at the third tent after clearing the second tent, there were three soldiers inside it, but only two soldiers slept, the other one was now going around to guard.

What we are gonna do now?

"Sis! I mean! Commander, what shou-" - I was about to say to my sis but she suddenly ran into the tent while pointing her Katana's hilt toward the soldier

In a blink of an eye, my sis drew her Katana fast like wind and sliced that soldier's throat before he could realize. 

That soldier was now holding his bled throat and slowly fell to the ground.

"Bang! Bang!" - My sis drew her M1911 pistol and shot through the head of the other soldiers who were sleeping

One of the soldiers who were sleeping had noticed the noise that my sis caused when she ran inside the tent but they didn't have time to react so they died before they could do anything.

I managed to keep my eyes out of the death scene, the sky was now still raining so loud and the other kidnappers hadn't noticed the gunshots yet. 

After clearing all of the tents, we sneaked outside, about to go to the horse wagons to save the elves.

While sneaking to the wagons, I saw the corpses of the soldiers that died because of my sis's shots when she was sniping on the hill. 

I looked at a soldier's corpse, his eyes showed to me those were dead eyes, that soldier's mouth was still opening, didn't know what had happened to him.

It was so hard to see that scene, his death was so brutal, I was about to vomit but seemed like my sis had noticed my behavior, she crouched toward me while staring at me.

"Pick up my hand to your throat, Sarah!" - My sis said to me while raising her right hand to my throat

That was my sis's order so I didn't want to disobey, I grabbed her hand, placed it into my throat then I felt so hard to breathe. 

My sis was now squeezing my throat very tight, she wanted to break my throat, she wanted to kill me!

"Ack! Ack! Ack!" - I was now suffocated by my sis

Then a few seconds later, my sis had dropped her hand out of my throat. 

She still glared at me but later ignored me but started peeking inside the first wagon that was placed next to the other ones.

For some reason by when I saw my sis peeked inside the wagon, her face looked very angry, she was very mad.

My sis suddenly intruded into the wagon without notice me about her intention.

"Kore wa nani? Zenbu koroshimasu!" (What the hell is this? I will kill them all!) - I heard my sis say Japanese words after intruding inside the wagon

She said she would kill, what did she mean?

"Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang!" - I heard five gunshots had been fired inside the wagon so I rushed inside to see

When I got inside the wagon, in front of me were 5 corpses of soldiers that died because of a shot through their heads, those soldiers' armors or pants looked to have been removed a bit for some reason.

More further inside the wagons, I saw dozens of elves, they were wearing raggy clothes, they were all so pale. Some of them looked to be beaten very hard, I could see a lot of bruises on their bodies.

Some of the elves' bellies looked so big as if they were pregnant, I saw a girl that looked to be very beautiful. 

Seemed like she was just kidnapped recently, she must be the Princess.

That girl had a long orange-haired, her clothes seemed to be torn completely like someone had torn them away. I saw her face and her body had been covered by opalescent things that looked like water, but the smell was a bit stink.

The girl was now very panicked to see us, about my sis, I saw her reloading her pistol and pointing the gun at a dead man's head who wore blue clothes that looked very special, he must be the leader of the kidnappers.

"Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang! Kak! Kak! Kak!" - My sis just shot all the ammo inside the round of her pistol

"Kusa! Kusa! Kusa! Shinu! Shinu! Shinu!" 

(Dammit! Dammit! Dammit! Die! Die! Die!) - My sis shouted loud to the man that died, even swearing at him

While swearing at that man, my sis spat at his face and even used her right foot to smash his head, I saw the entire killing scene. That was so brutal, so madness to see, I immediately got out of the wagon and started vomiting.

"Vomiting" - I was so panicked so I vomited so much

After the vomiting, I took a look at the other wagons, I saw six soldiers that seemed to have noticed the gunshots though it was still raining. They stepped outside of the wagons while fitting their armors and their pants, they were shocked to see me and my sis.

My sis had done her anger with the dead man in the wagon and now standing before me, as if seeing her deadly face, the soldiers had run away in panic.

"Sarah Hatano! Kill them all!" - My sis shouted loud to me

"But, sis!"

"Kill them all! You must be used to it, kill them all and you will know what I want you to grow for!" - Sis! That was not my sis anymore!

I was so panicked so I pointed my M4A1 to my sis.

"You dare to point your weapon at your Commander! At your older sister! Kill them all now!" - My sis shouted louder

Then I looked at the soldiers that were running away, I didn't want to kill my sis! I may have dozens of friends but my sis, I only had one! Even if she was a devil anymore, I cannot hurt her, I didn't want to kill my sis!

"I'm! I'm sorry!" - I apologized to those soldiers in tears then turned my rifle to them and shot all of them

After shooting the soldiers, I saw that some of them were still crawling, yelling in pain, they were not dead yet.

My sis took that chance so she walked to them and stabbed them to death with her Katana.

Why did I feel so depressed like that? I just killed six people, six people! My hands were now covered in mud and blood, did I just become an evil?

Did I become like this because of my sis? Or myself? Did I worth living? I just killed 6 people, 6 people! Why do I just feel sad and depressed, not even regretting it?

I had become an evil? Haha! Haha! Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha!

Then there was no way for me to not kill my sis anymore, we had both become evils!

"Sarah!" - My sis seemed very worried about me, she was now stepping toward me after stabbing the soldiers

"My sis is dead! You are just someone who faked her, get out of my dear sister's body, you monster!" - I pointed my rifle at my sis

"Sarah! Calm down, there's a reason why I have to go strict on you like that, everything is over! I won't go hard with you again!" - Sis! Where was her previous psychopath?

"Don't get close or I will kill you!"

"Sarah! Calm down!" - My sis stepped close to me, she was so close now

"Stop!"

"Sar-, Bang!" - I was so panicked so I shot my sis, the shot just slightly grazed through her right shoulder.

"Sis! I'm! I'm sorry! I just! I just ! So scared!" - I was so panicked after shooting my sis, what should I do for now

"Sarah!" - My sis suddenly hugged me, she hugged me very tight, more than the previous hugged

"You don't have any fault, Sarah! Sorry, I was just so selfish, I was scared that you would be weak when you don't have me with you!"

"I'm just a bad older sister, don't know how to treat you well! Sarah! Please forgive me!" - Sis! She had come back! She had! Come back!

"I'm sorry sis! I just shot you!" - I had cried very much

"I'm proud of you, Sarah! You have grown up now! I'm sorry, I won't force you to kill anymore! I just want you to be stronger!" - Sis! I'm so sorry!

"Uwaah! Uwaah!" - I cried a lot 

"You are not a kid anymore, Sarah! Don't cry like that!" - But sis, I just shot you earlier

My sis had spent a few minutes calming my nerve down, after that we went inside the carriage.

In front of me was now the one I considered Princess Tama, she was the only one that didn't have chains on her hands and her feet. 

She was now holding a dagger that she took from a soldier's corpse, she seemed very cautious about us.

She was about to charge at me with the dagger but then she stopped when she saw my sis pointing her pistol at her.

"This is how you elves repay the tribute to the people who save you? We accepted the order from your stupid father to save you and your people and now you treat us by trying to kill us?" - My sis threaten Tama with dead eyes

"I'm! I'm sorry, I don't use to the humans!" - Tama apologized to us then took returned to take care of her people

There was a total of 61 elves who got kidnapped, including the Princess. 

We had dealt with the wagons by choosing the best one to carry all people.

Most of the elves were cuffed with chains on their hands and their feet, guns cannot cut the chains away so we had to return them to Zaira village before thinking about it.

The wagon that carried the Princess and the other elves looked a bit cramped when we had to stuff all of them inside one wagon. 

About the horses, luckily that there was only one horse that still wandering around when the other horses had run when they heard gunshots so my sis managed to capture it and chained it into the wagon.

We were now on our way to return to the village, the rain had now stopped a few minutes ago. My sis was now riding the horse and I was guarding the elves inside the wagon.

Princess Tama was still now cautious about us, she didn't speak a word, also the other elves, didn't welcome us at all.

"Sis! Are you hungry or thirsty?" - I asked my sis because she hadn't taken anything to her belly during the rescue for the elves, the sky was about to dark now, the rescue lasted for hours

"I'm...now...a bit...thirsty..." - Ah! Sis had turned back her previous way of talking

"Here, sis!" - I gave my sis a water bottle that I took from my bag

"Thanks...Sarah..." - My sis took the bottle and drank all of the water inside

I was now wondering how would we be welcomed when we return, I hoped Yura didn't worry about ours too much. 

We were about to return to the village, just in a few more minutes.
