Princess, maybe when you're reading this letter, I'm not here with you but don't worry. Rivia just has told me to follow her outside, she said that she would patrol around the border or some sort like that, she told me to go with her to aid.

Don't worry, Princess, I will come back for you soon, don't worry! Though Rivia said to me that she always patrols until night comes but I will return to you as soon as possible, don't worry.

If I can't return soon to you, Princess! You may get hungry, Rivia said to me that the place that's used to stock the wooden logs is also used to place the bags that contain food stocks.

You may get the food inside the bags to cook the meals, don't worry if you don't know how to cook, Princess! I'm also a bad cook, but at least I hope you can cook some in case I return here late.

So Sir Rigen has finally got out of the house with Rivia to patrol around, what should I do now?

But at least I was so glad that they didn't leave me, I'm so scared right now when I have to stay inside the house alone. But at least Sir Rigen has promised me that he would return soon, maybe I should do something useful for him before he got home.

But why did I so frustrated when I heard that Sir Rigen went out with Rivia though they just went out to do patrol only? Did I just get jealous? Why did he have to do that?

But I slowly calmed myself down, I stopped worrying about my parents and Reimi a bit, maybe they had been like us. If we got sent here after the explosion then they would be now in somewhere like us too.

They are still alive, I could feel it!

But the thing I wanted now was to go back to my homeland though the way to return from here was not far but the Snow border had blocked all the way, I would die before I and Sir Rigen could go home.

But maybe I should not worry too much, me and Sir Rigen had just got here not less than a day so there must be some way else for the two of us to go home, I must look forward to it.

At least we cannot go home now but at least I could do something here to make me useful to Sir Rigen's eyes.

Then I put the letter away and went out of the bedroom, Rivia just have enough time to teach me the way to use the crystal thing called electricity.

Rivia said to me that I just had missed the way to know the recharge but I would learn that thing later when she returned to teach me.

I saw that outside was now very bright and the house itself was still very bright inside, maybe I should not turn on the electricity, I was a bit scared when I have to stay at home alone.

Most of the time I have Reimi beside me but now she was not here, maybe I should used to it, I cannot rely on Sir Rigen too much or he would consider me useless.

Sir Rigen said to me that if he cannot go home with Rivia soon then I have to cook his dinner, I didn't know what time is it.

When I was still at the Imperial Palace, each hour would be notified by the bell rings on the Hour tower.

As Sir Rigen taught me, I must look at the sun, maybe I should go outside to see, then I went outside, I tried to look around the sky to find the sun.

Finally, I found the sun, it had stayed in the middle of the sky a bit ago but now it was going down a bit, maybe it was about the afternoon.

That meant the night would come in a few hours later, maybe I should prepare the dinner for the three of us now. Sir Rigen said I could take the food inside the food stock room.

I and Reimi didn't know how to cook, when we were traveling together in Tod forest, I and her just mixed every food we had together.

That may be the result why Sir Rigen got diarrhea, I should learn to cook myself, though I don't know much but I think I should try then I got myself into the work.

If I didn't remember wrong then the room that stocked the food was the farthest room of Rivia's house, maybe I should look around before getting into that room.

I looked around the books that were placed on the stone shelf, I was wondering how would an architect make this stone house this beautiful.

I picked up a book from the stone shelf to look inside to see what was written inside it.

I was so surprised to see the smoothness of the papers in the book, how could the dark elves or the demons be capable to create these things, what was the material that was used to create this page?

I also tried to read the words that were written inside the book, I could not read them at all, the book may be written in the demon's language so I didn't know, maybe I should return the book to its shelf.

After returning the book to the stone shelf, I walked toward the doors that I could see in the house, I opened a door, that was a bathroom.

I was very shocked at first when I have to the bath here differently from the way I used to in my homeland.

In my homeland, the waiters, the maids and the guards or rightly called the servants in short, had to take the bath by using the bathrooms that had the wells to be placed inside.

They had to take the buckets and placed them down the wells to take water to wash.

About me as a Princess, I would be bathed by using the Royal bathroom, there would be women servants around the room to take water to clean my body.

The way to bath by using the things called the faucet and the shower of these demons has made me feel how developed their civilization was compared to us.

I closed the bathroom door and went to another door and opened it up, that room looked to be storing the weapons and the armors.

I think that I should have something to protect myself when I'm home alone, maybe I will ask for Rivia's permission when she got home.

I closed the room door that stocked weapons and armors and then walked to another door.

When I got in, I saw inside the room was a small pillar on the farthest side with a design that looked to be small and wide. Maybe I could sit on it though I didn't know what was it used for.

I saw beside the small pillar that could use to sit had a small stone cabinet that looked to be contained something.

I opened the cabinet and saw there were many things like paper rolls, the rolls looked to be very smooth, what were these used for?

Then I noticed that the stone pillar I was sitting on now had a thing that looked to be a piece of square flat stone that looked to be covering something on top of the pillar.

I stayed away from the pillar and slowly opened the piece of that stone cover.

I have finally opened it, looked like that piece of stone was used to cover a hole on top of the pillar, wasn't this looked to be the thing that we always use to defecate?

Down the hole had water, I didn't know why when I looked at the water that was down the hole and was about to take it to drink, I felt myself a bit shivering.

Then I noticed that behind the pillar on the right side had a thing that looked to be a hand brake that was now up, I was so curious so I pulled the hand brake down.

The water under the hole started rising in a few seconds and then returned to normal, the hand brake itself also turned up after that, these demons use the water like this to clean the waste they defecated?

Now I've known that my mind must be very small and stupid back then.

I thought that our human lifestyle was the most civilized in this world, the demons were just the barbarians but now I have thought back.

Maybe we were nothing to them, their lives were so developed.

Then I got outside the room that was considered to be the restroom and went inside the room that stored the food. Many dried wooden logs were placed together, maybe I would use them to fire the furnace.

About the bags that I considered to be stored the food, they were also many, also placed next to each other.

But I have now noticed a cabinet that was placed on the farthest side of the room, looked to be big, I stepped toward the cabinet and opened it.

I saw there were black boxes inside the cabinet that looked to be the electricity boxes as Rivia told me to. They looked to be very new, maybe they have been placed inside the cabinet to avoid being rusted by the air.

I put the black boxes in the cabinet and closed it and returned to the bags, I removed the rope of a bag and looked inside it. That bag contained things to be plants, fruits, some of them looked dried but they looked good to eat.

I also removed the rope of another bag, that was...some kind of small lizards with brown and some green colored, they were all dried, how could we eat these?

I didn't know what to do so I tried to pull the bags out to the kitchen as much as possible, the bags were very heavy and I could only pull one to one to the kitchen, that process took me a lot of time.

When I have completely pulled out all of the bags, I saw that the small stone kitchen had some kitchen tools to use.

Ah! I forgot the wooden logs! I suddenly ran back to the food stocks room and was about to fall but I managed to keep myself standing and went inside to take the logs back to the kitchen.

After taking the wooden logs back to the kitchen, I threw some of them into the furnace nearby, then I started to do what I saw to be proper to make the meal.

I took the fruits, some of the small lizards and plants from the bags to wash them with the thing that could be used to flow the water out, Rivia told me its name was a sink or something like that.

After washing those stuff, I took a small knife that looked can use to cut vegetables and imitated the way the maids cut the vegetables when I was visiting the Royal kitchen.

I didn't know what should I cut so I tried to cut the fruits and the plants as much as possible, about...the small lizards.

I hope Sir Rigen wouldn't mind eating the entire of their bodies because I felt a bit scared when I have to cut the parts of the lizards out.

After cutting, I filled the food that I cut into a small pot that seemed to be made of bronze that had a wire to hang, maybe I should have filled them in a bigger pot, I saw that was a bit narrow.

Then I took the pot which had a lot of food to hang it on a hook above the stone furnace, then I placed the wooden logs together and was about to make a fire.

Should I cast the fire by using magic for more convenience, should I?

But I think that would be better if I know how to make fire without using magic, I cannot rely on them too much, must try hard for Sir Rigen, I want to be useful to him.

I took a pair of sharp stones that were placed near the furnace, around it also had some green grass, those things...could be used to make a fire?

I didn't think much but started making fire, I collided the sharp stones together as Reimi taught me that was one of many ways to make fire, I did that.

The first time, failed.

The second time, failed.

The third time, also failed.

The fourth time, I made my hand scratches a bit, luckily that it didn't bleed but still failed to make fire on the grass.

The fifth time, finally I did it! But wait! The grass was catching fire very fast!

I immediately pulled the grass down on the wooden logs to make them spread the fire around the furnace.

We have to ride Fafa around the border for a while now, Rivia said to me that she had to scout the border with a long ride because the border had a very long area to go for scouting.

I'm now so hungry! Maybe I should get to the Princess quick!

"Alright, Fafa! Wait here a bit, I will bring you the dinner now." - Rivia cuddled her horse and then returned to me

"Let's go, John! I hope your Princess knows how to cook." - Rivia told me then both of us got into the house

Then both of us opened the door to get inside the house.

"I'm back, Princess! Sorry, I have left you alone, I hope you don't mad at me."

Then in front of me was Shera, she was now using a wooden spoon to spin the water that looked to be the soup on a pot that had been hung on a hook on the furnace.

Shera suddenly stared at me when I made my voice while going inside the house, I hope she won't get angry.

I also looked around the house, the dinner table had now placed some bowls that had soup, they looked to be our dinner.

I also looked at the floor, what a mess! Shera must have chosen the flavors to add for the dinner but she chose them in a hurry and was very careless, I could see some fruits and nuts dropped around the floor.

"Sir Rigen!" - Shera ran toward me and hugged me tight, I felt that her tears were now about to flow out

"Hey, Princess! Sorry for making you wait, I'm home."

If both of us cannot return to Shera's homeland, maybe we will live here forever, I will do my best to make Princess happy, I hope so!
