Chapter 47: Chapter 47: The Gate Boss

Plutia wondered what was going on as she saw the members of the chat discuss about her.

Still, even though she was a bit surprised, it would very difficult to read any emotions on her lovely beautiful face.

Even as she wondered what was happening, she hurriedly picked up the traces and understood things.

"I see…" Her words were uttered slowly as if she was even tired to say such few words.

She had read the chat of the members until now and understood that like her they had been added randomly.

She was aware of her strength, and it was as they said, Ex ranked, so the fact that even she had been added by this chat clearly meant they were dealing with something godly strong here.

She also understood that the chat was a gathering place for heroes who worked to save people and protect them. Which was basically her job, but she was a lazy person by nature, and only made a move when something serious happened.

But she didn't care about any of that.

Her eyes looked at the doll in her hand.

It was a plushie made to resemble Ren. Her past few days subject of interest.

So, much that she spent her usual working ('Actually Sleeping') time just watching him from afar.

Only her friends had the honor of her making them plushies, but Ren grabbed her attention. To the point where she was stalking him like a pervert. She had even seen him do that stuff with the other girls… which in turn was the moment that her attraction toward him peaks…

"Mister Ren is amazing…"

Plutia had a very small smile as her eyes watched Ren down below.

He had even appeared in this chatroom as an admin…

"How fun…"

-All Might: Ex ranked… what sort of existence is that?

To him even SSS ranks were amazing. They were country-level powerhouses after all. But what did Ex rank entail… were they the gods of this world? He had gone and saw her page description, and it had two ranks like this: SSS/EX.

-Robin: It seems that she has two ranks, the SSS rank being the weakest for her…

She was trying to wrap her head around what sort of feats can such a person do.

-Tatsumaki: …

She felt annoyed. The girl she thought she was stronger than was apparently stronger than her… after all due to her high rank, she did know of the existence of a higher rank and what the Ex meant.

-Whitebeard: Hmm… So, she is one of them too…

Similar to Tatsumaki, even he knew those people existed.

-All Might: Whitebeard, you know about this?

_Robin: ??

-Tsunade: Yeah, same question, and also, is she a bad person? Didn't this chat only add good heroes?

-Tsunade: @Ren, @Ren… some questions need to be answered.

Plutia was annoyed a bit so she typed in the chatroom. Not before she changed her name though.

-Plutia: I am not a bad person. You guys are meanies…

Meanwhile, Ren on the other side was enjoying his time.

He had fun fighting with the group, and Usopp kept them entertained.

The guy was great at support.

He used his giant black slingshot to shoot what he called: pop greens.

Plant seeds that grew to full-sized plants in moments. And he found many uses for them as both offensive and defensive techniques and even crowd control abilities. Apparently, his trait allowed him to create these pop green seeds, and Ren was impressed, to say the least.

But even though his accuracy was very high, every time a monster had gotten close, he would scream like a little girl.

It brought a chuckle to Ren's group.

Since they were B ranks, beating an A-ranked monster proved hard for them.

For Ren, since he appeared to be S rank already, Yamato had him mostly tank a monster's attacks so that they didn't reach the weaker members.

Occasionally they were attacked by more than one monster of the A rank, so Yamato also had to tank one coming at their group from the side. As the both of them did so, Usopp attacked with his slingshot.

He would shoot a pop green that turns into a Venus flytrap which would bite off the bear monsters and even use its vines to entangle them. He would also attack by shooting seeds that explode into stalks of bamboo shoots that would penetrate the monsters. Seeds that would explode violently and release a red skull shape after it does. Seeds that would turn into a flaming small bird that would explode on impact, and many other attacks.

Then, following after him, Momo would use her ability to create two cannons and start shooting at the caught monsters. As there would be some other monster bears reaching the B ranks, not always would they fight lone monsters.

She can create shields, but it wasn't necessary at that moment. She also further used her ability to create bombs that would be thrown onto monsters and explode.

'Their abilities are very versatile,'

Ren was mostly impressed with their abilities. Especially Momo and Sicily. He felt like they had a lot of potential.

Hinata as usual only moved when a monster had slipped inside and took it down easily, her eyes focusing hard on the monster, as veins pops up around her eyes, and she uses her fists to deal stunning and deadly strikes to the monster. Her martial arts techniques were just mesmerizing and she was very efficient.

Sicily would use her healing ability whenever someone was a bit injured, mostly very tiny scratches on Yamato or Ren or Hinata. Otherwise, she pushed herself by attacking with fireballs that she released using her staff, or creating barriers to stop the monster's attacks. In fact, even though Yamato and Ren had observation Haki, Sicily was allowed to use her search magic to locate enemies nearby.

This whole process of working together takes them a long time to bring down the monster, so it is obvious the monster would break free of their holdings, so Ren, or Yamato, would intercept them until they repeat the process.

It was between Yamato and Ren since it depended on whoever is responsible for that current monster since the other one would be busy fighting another A rank until they take down the current one.

For Ren, all of this was something easy to do, and he enjoyed the teamwork they were sharing.

'I must have looked cool too so that's a plus,'

Right now, they were about to enter the boss's room.

"As you might have noticed, the monsters numbers we faced weren't a lot" Yamato started saying as she laid the Kanabo on her shoulder.

To reach the boss room, and for it to spawn, they had to clear a certain number of enemies first.

But it had taken them a while longer, not because they were inefficient, but rather because the monsters were smaller in number than usual.

The members understood what Yamato was trying to say.

*Roaaaaarr*

"That means, this boss we are about to fight should have reached the S rank," Yamato told them. The boss's roar sounded in the distance.

'Three A ranks, six B ranks, and the boss' Yamato and Ren were able to sense their opposition.

It was commonly known that when the monsters in a gate weren't numbered a lot, then the boss monster would be higher in rank than the gate.

Since this was a rank A gate, then it should have reached the S rank.

Ren nodded with a sharp look in his eyes.

It seemed that he and Yamato had to get serious at this moment.

Seeing that everybody was ready, Yamato nodded at Ren, exchanging info with their eyes, and then he stepped forward.

All of them started moving toward the boss until it noticed them and sent its pack at them.

Hinata also understood and moved to the side, so that she, Yamato, and Ren made a triangular formation around the weaker members. With Ren taking the lead.

Hinata released her mana, in a show of extreme control, and it surrounded both hands turning into large lion-shaped shaped shrouds. This was her own developed technique that finally made her step into the A rank. It was her skill: Gentle Step Twin Lion Fists.

Yamato also suddenly turned cold, as fog surrounded her form. Clearly going to be serious from now on, unlike her earlier casual attacks.

Momo focused on the coming battle, Sicily tightly held her staff, and surprisingly even the cowardly Usopp had his attention fully on the fight and didn't bother them by screaming. He can be serious and courageous when the need calls for it.

As the group made contact with the monsters, Ren used his sword, since he was at the front, and sent a slash full of his power at one of the A rank monster bears that were running toward him.

Since he didn't hold back, the slash instantly cut through it, but the body stayed in place for a bit, as Ren used it as a platform to jump over it and continue to the boss.

Only then did its body divide into two vertically and fall to each side.

'This would lessen the burden on the group,' Ren thought as he eyed the massive boss monster.

He then continued running toward it with a grin, leaving his group to deal with the rest of the monsters. He would hold it off until they are done, or if it didn't prove hard, he could also beat it quickly.

'Either way, it's fun'
