Chapter 79: Chapter 79: Right before the boss

-Robin: look at the leader go, SS ranks are so strong, just seeing that monster I know I would die immediately against it

She and the rest of the members that were online currently were seeing things that were happening inside of the gate.

Though the stream was online for them, it had other features, for example, they could actually feel how strong that monster was just by seeing it. And when robin did so, she knew Ren had entered a new realm of strength.

'Good for him, and me too later hehe'

Robin felt happy for him. But also anticipated their working out session where the two of them would continue to get even stronger together.

But she then saw Tsunade had replied to her.

-Tsunade: Certainly, if I was to take what my disciple Sakura said as true then he had reached this level in just a short time all the way from B rank

-Tsunade: That is very impressive

Sakura did say that she had known that. And here he is now with not too much time passing since then and he was already stronger than her.

The old man praised him. And Ren had a thin smile on his face as he rubbed the back of his head.

As it seemed that although Ren had increased rapidly in ranks, he still knew how to fight properly.

Plus, Whitebeard had noticed something else.

'He can use haki… so, he is also a Grandliner,'

But now wasn't the time to chat.

He then closed his eyes and used his observation haki.

The next thing that happened was his eyes opening sharply in a certain direction.

"There. It seems the situation is more dire than I thought... too many SS ranks had already showed up"

Ren also got serious about that.

"We need to move quickly then"

Following that, the two ran forward in the direction the old man pointed to, and they soon met their first opposition.

They fought a group of S ranks and a few SS ranks, where the old man demonstrated firsthand how strong an SSS rank was.

Just a casual punch with his unique power destroyed all S ranks easily.

And then he one-shotted every SS rank he met head-on with.

By the end of their encounter, Ren had taken down only two SS ranks, while the old man had taken down five.

And while Ren had been breathing a bit roughly due to the strenuous activity that is fighting SS ranks similar to him, the old man was relatively fine.

Following that, the two then continued on running forward to the next place. Until they reached just before the largest energy the old man had said he had felt.

And right now, they were fighting the last battle before they'll enter the boss area.

A giant person came bearing down with a punch surrounded by a white bubble on a monster's head. He issued a war cry as he targeted the head of the scorpion monster.

The monster as if it sensed the threat attempted to escape into the ground where its speed would increase but it was already too late, as the punch seemingly penetrated through the space and hit it straight on its head.

When the punch made contact with the head of the scorpion, a huge shockwave exploded immediately after, and as it spread from the head of the monster, it peeled its armor like butter as it turned it into dust, and its flesh body started to tear.

Its eyes exploded and its internal organs busted out of its body as it died a painful death.

The old man landed from the sky as he held his weapon with one hand, and shook his other hand that landed the punch.

'Slow… I'm getting slow'

He was aware that n his prime he could do much better, but as his age was catching up to him he couldn't perform the same.

Not to mention his sickness that couldn't be healed. That was also a major obstacle that stopped him from showing 100%.

He turned his eyes to the side where Ren was also having some fun fighting a similar but smaller slightly scorpion.

It shot acid at Ren, but he dodged them all and attacked in a beautiful display of using his Kusarigama. Which was a weapon that whitebeard admired any who can use. Due to how hard it was.

'What is his trait?'

Ren was displaying various skills as his weapon penetrated the eyes of the monster, and when he wrapped it around its head he used his strength to tear the head off.

His weapon was complemented by his wind ability, and Whitebeard was wondering if that was Ren's trait.

Still, everyone had their secrets and he wasn't going to ask.

"This was the last stop before we confront the boss that is most likely about to become SSS rank,"

The old man can pick up on a huge energy wave but he didn't feel it was concentrated in one monster. The feeling was very weird, and he had to see with his own eyes to draw any conclusion.

Ren propped his spear over his head and nodded.

*Fuah*

He took a deep breath as he looked at the area in front of them covered in a cloud-like red energy that hid anything inside.

Beyond that was the real threatening situation.

'I'm getting some bad vibes…' Ren was feeling something very dangerous from the other side.

"Are you ready?" The old man had a serious look on his face as he asked.

He didn't' mind if Ren went out now like Ace earlier. After all, the situation now would be very dangerous and he wasn't sure he could help Ren if anything happened.

But Ren refused.

"I'm ready, let's do it,"

He then led the way and stepped inside the red energy area.
