Chapter 8: Chapter no 8: Maash’s Adventures Part 1.

While Fiona was thinking about if what maash did was right or wrong or is it fine for him to like her he was having a  mission with a team for the first time.

In the morning before Fiona came to the counter for breakfast Maash went to the guild and looked around the place for a good rewarding mission. But he can’t take something that pays well because those starts at D rank but he needed the money so he went to a group who was shouting that they needed a support type of close range fighter who would stay close to the team and deal with any stray targets who gets close to the long ranged combatants like mage an the healer. so basically they just need a shield.

I went close to them and found out that they had a bulky guy who was tank and a ripped guy with armor and sword that must be the swordsman and an assassin who looked like a young girl and there was a guy who was a healer. She looked pretty young and scared and last there was a girl inn her 20’s as their magician having blonde hair and seductive a smile. It looks like they need the support for the healer.

Umm hi my name’s Maash I can do the job you are looking for I and a close range fighter and I use dagger as my choice for weapon. Hello my name is Brian and I and the lease of this group. The swordsman replied these are my teammates, luka, Rio, Ari and Elizabeth and they have the classes of tank, healer, assassin and mage respectively. After the introduction we greeted each other.

So Maash right! As you know we need a close range fighter to give Rio and Elizabeth support and help us fend of our targets so that they can for their job better. So what’s your rank? You should know that we are all E rank adventurers and together we do D rank quest. What is your rank?

I am an F rank but I have been doing E rank missions for a while like taking out E rank horned rabbits and E rank horned wolves so you don’t have to worry. I can fight as an E rank. And I have only 10 missions left or a test for me to level up to E rank. Even if it is a D rank quest I can do it in a team.

Do you have any prior experience with a D rank quest. Brian asked.

No I don’t but I need to do one to get any experience. I replied.

Sorry Maash but not only are you one rank below the required rank but you don’t even have the relevant experiences so I cannot include you in my team.

Its fine Brian he can come he says that he can so you have to believe him besides if he can do E rank missions by himself surely he can fight those E rank wolves with us and not drag us down. Elizabeth came to my rescue with that same seductive smile but on a closer look if looks that way because she is the definition of a fantasy mage with witch hat and hourglass but she is not wearing skimpy dresses but still looking just as sexy and amazing also she is wearing a red and black dress which gives a strange contrast with her jet black hairs.

Maash our mission is to kill a horde of 30 horned wolves that are E rank and because these many are gathered together so there likely would be a D rank dire wolf leading them and this type of wolf can usually wield magic of lightning and is more adept in it than the Mage of the same rank because it’s natural for it.

Ok so we have to go the northern part of the jungle and kill wolf and most likely a dire wolf as well ok so let’s meet up in 30 minutes at the city gate.

Alright everyone agreed and I went to get my equipment from my room in the room it was still early and wasn’t crowded I saw Fiona at the reception, she saw me so I went to greet her I am not a coward who would shy away from her just because she thought bad o me and most likely doesn’t want to interact with me.

Hi Fiona how have you been I asked awkwardly. I am fine how are your injuries from your last mission, I didn’t see you for a few days, surprisingly she isn’t telling me off and replied to me but with awkwardness in her sentences.

Thanks to the potions I am fine now in fact I am going to a mission right now]. I have teamed up with a party for this mission and we have to hunt some wolves and we will be done. Are you going to you house now. I asked! Yes I am just going I just need to arrange this things in this counter. Oh ok! Since you are busy and I have to go to my mission I will leave you to your work now and go do my mission. Ok then good luck. She said and crouched down to do something and I begin to go to my room and just as I was going to stairs beside the reception I saw a big box falling from the upper most shelf toward Fiona and time seemed to and I went to her as fast as I could and shielded her from it and it fell right on me and shattered, the shards scattered and around and one of them grazed her hand and drew blood. Hey Fiona are you alright I asked her you are bleeding from your hand I hold that hand here let me put some healing potion on it.

I grabbed her and begin to apply the potion on her hand, Fiona does it burn? Is it hurting? Why were you so careless this big box should not be put up above like that keep saying random stuff because I am really worried about her and taking care about her but just as I was about out some bandage on her hand she grabbed my hand strongly and shouted MAASH!

Her shot brought me out of my reverie and I looked up at her tear eyed face.

MAASH what is wrong with you it isn’t me who is hurt but it’s you who is bleeding from your head and back. Don’t you realize it that box was of old knifes and it fell on you and now you are bleeding so much. Oh my God I am so sorry this is my fault. Anyone who gets close to me gets hurt you should stay away from me. Don’t love a misfortune bringing widow like me.

Its fine Fiona don’t blame yourself it’s just a coincidence it happens. All that matters is that you are alright ok now get up and go take a rest I have to go on a mission and I don’t have much time right now we will talk later.

But Maash what about you are bleeding like that she said crying. Its fine I have a haling potion I will drink it.

I urge her to go and take a rest. After she is gone to her house head upstairs and washes my heads and body, it has stopped bleeding now.

Alright it’s time to go now I change my clothes and begins to go to the city gate and barely arrive there at time. Hi everyone sorry if I am late. No you are right on time Elizabeth replies, let’s head out to the jungle of Jura we have a long day to go.

Alright everyone let’s start this mission officially Brian declares and we head to the jungle and arrive there in about 4 minutes. Alright listen everyone these are the signs for gong forward backward stop or look, Brian gestured as he explain and if something happens and we can’t handle it we slip in groups of 2 of who is closest to you and run in the opposite position and head to the entrance of the jungle and wait or if someone is injured you should directly go to the guild they have healers o standby so they can give immediate treatment.

Day yes if everyone is clear about the rules, everyone replied positively and we begin to head in the jungle to the nest we have to raid.
