The next morning, Liu Qinghe went to the market after a simple breakfast. Standing in front of the middle-aged woman’s shop, she said, “Auntie, I’m here to pick my order. Is everything ready?”

“Ah, it’s you. Everything is ready. Where do you want us to send it? We can deliver it by truck,” the middle-aged woman said.

“If it’s possible, I’d like to borrow your truck for a while. I’ll leave my ID here. I can also pay the rent,” said Liu Qinghe.

“This…” The middle-aged woman was embarrassed when she heard the words.

“Lend it to the lady, she ordered a lot of chicken from us, just ask her to leave us her ID card.” An old man’s voice came from the store.

She rode the truck down a secluded road, put the chickens in a coop in her space, and went to another store to pick up her orders. After she picks up her order, she will drive to secluded roads and leave the livestock in her space. After repeating it more than ten times, she finally took all the orders.

Driving the truck, she went to the middle-aged woman’s store and returned the truck. “Thank you for your help, Auntie.” As she thanked the middle-aged woman, she handed back the keys.

“It’s a small matter. After all, you bought a lot of chickens from us.” The middle-aged woman said while handing back her ID card.

Liu Qinghe went to her space and managed the livestock. She dug a few holes in the lake and put the fish and seafood there. She used a pipe to fill the pit with water from the lake. And just like that, another day passed. The end of the world is only two days away.

The next day, Liu Qinghe dug up all the plants in the garden and replanted them in her own space. She also moved home furniture and tools into her space, leaving only a bed in the bedroom.

Using unused planks and poles, she makes sure her house is safe enough from zombies. Since the apocalypse came earlier, she didn’t have time to move to a more secluded place. The only thing she can do now is make sure her house is safe enough for her before she wakes up.

After a tiring day, she usually goes to bed early. But today, she couldn’t sleep. Her heart was beating so fast, like something big was about to happen. After taking a shower, Liu Qinghe changed into comfortable sports clothes, with a backpack, sneakers and steel bat beside the bed.

Looking at the round moon outside the window, she checked her phone. Today is the fifteenth day of the lunar calendar. When the moon is at its brightest. Lying on the bed, she closed her eyes and slowly fell asleep.

At midnight, the bright moon slowly turned red, and a layer of mist rose from the ground, crawling slowly, covering the earth. The world fell into an eerie silence, without any sound or sound. She propped herself up and sat on the bed for a while. Looking at her phone, it was out of power. Seeing that something was wrong, she forcibly stood up and walked towards the wall.

Click..click..click.. After pressing the switch a few times, the light in her room was still off.

‘It seems the apocalypse is coming. But why is it so quiet? What’s wrong?’ 

Liu Qinghe walked to her kitchen and turned on the sink faucet. no water.

She went back to the bedroom and took out a thermos from her space. After drinking some water, she felt better. She wore sneakers, grabbed her backpack and the steel bat before leaving the house after keeping the bed and thermos in her space.

squeak… bang…

Liu Qinghe stepped into the silent road and looked at the red sun hanging in the sky. The weather is too hot. She wipes the sweat from her forehead.

‘The temperature could be above 40 degrees. I can’t waste any more time. Since I was the first to wake up, I should go and collect as many supplies as possible.’ 

With this decision, she walked to M Mart and started her first looting.
