Chapter 11: Chapter 10 Part 1

Liu Qinghe walked with a splitting headache. This fever should be a sign of her ability to awaken. However, usually when people awaken their abilities, they will enter a coma. It is very rare for her to regain consciousness before the awakening process is complete.

When she arrived at M mart, she went to the supermarket area in the basement. Before going to the medicine area on the upper floor, she needs to collect food, drinks and daily necessities. This M supermarket is the largest shopping mall in her area. This M Mart has ten floors and sells almost everything you need.

She collected everything in the supermarket and put it in her space, including the frozen food. She was too lazy to take it out of the freezer and just kept the frozen food and freezer in her space.

It took her nearly two hours to collect everything in the supermarket. Walking upstairs, she came to the medicine area and put away all the medicines and supplies there. As someone who has seen the apocalypse in the future, she has no extra thought to leave some of these supplies to others.

After picking some vegetables and a few eggs, she went to her small house to take a bath and have dinner. She needs to continue collecting supplies tomorrow.

She spent another three days collecting supplies from nearby shops, malls, and traditional markets. As she finished collecting the seeds from the last store, she looked at the red moon hanging in the sky. A sense of crisis suddenly surging inside her heart.

She looked at the watch on her wrist, it was 9:30 pm. She needs to get out of this densely populated area. She saw an off-road vehicle parked on the side of the road. When she got to the car, she opened the door and let out a yelp.

Inside the car is a rotting zombie sitting in the driver’s seat with its eyes closed. Liu Qinghe gritted her teeth, pulled the zombie out of the car before drove the car away.

Before midnight, she needs to collect more fuel. While looking for the nearest gas station, she saw a young man lying on the side of the road. His body was covered in bruises and he was in a coma.

She looked straight ahead and drove. She already made decisions to survive even though she needs to become cruel and selfish. 

Ckiittt.. 

Suddenly, she hit the brakes and turned around. She couldn’t pretend she didn’t see anything. As she parked the car next to the young man, she scolded herself for being stupid and bothersome.

After getting out of the car, she opened the back door and pulled the young man into her car while complaining, “What did you eat? You look thin, why are you so heavy?”

The young man frowned. It appears that he has a high fever. Ten minutes later, she finally pulled the young man up and let him sleep in the back seat. Looking at his tall body, she sighed before picked up her speed.

After driving for a while, she finally saw a gas station. After filling up the car, she parked it behind the gas station. She covered the car with the tarpaulin she found.

Looking at her watch, it’s 10.05 pm. There is not much time left. She looked around the gas station and saw rows of huge barrels inside the gas station warehouse. Half of the barrels are full of gasoline and other types of oil, while half of them are empty.

Before she walks to the gas station, she puts all the barrels in her space. She took out the empty barrel, filled it with fuel before put it back in her space. She is racing against time. She kept looking at her watch while filling those barrels with fuel.

When the last barrel was full, Liu Qinghe put the barrel into her space and ran to the car. Looking at her watch, it’s 11.58 pm. She has never tried to bring other people into her space, so if that fails, the man will be left behind. If she succeeds, then the man will be saved.

“It’s up to your fate now.” She said in a whisper voice.

She touched the car with her palm and thought ‘IN’. In an instant, the car disappeared from that place, along with the people inside and the tarpaulin. She was ecstatic and hurried into her space.

The moment she entered her space, the clock struck 00.00 AM. She felt her eyes blur and she lost consciousness. The silent phase was over and the apocalypse finally began.

Early the next morning, Liu Qinghe woke up refreshed. Finding herself sleeping on the grass near the house, she propped herself up and walked to the car. Inside the car, the young man was still lying there with his eyes closed.

She opened the door and pulled the man out of the car. Looking at this young man, she was a little conflicted. She doesn’t want anyone to know about her space but she doesn’t know what’s going on outside. 

‘Should I take this man out and let him be? However, it was too cruel for her to do that and it made her previous efforts pointless.‘

After thinking for a while, Liu Qinghe decided to feed the man some porridge and medicine first to reduce his fever. Since she decided to help him, she should do it to the end. She hugged the man and brought him into her home. She couldn’t bring him to the second floor, so she let him sleep on the sofa.

“It seems that I owe you a debt in a previous life, and now you are here to collect it.” She said while covering the man with a blanket.

While she was busy cooking in the kitchen, the man opened his eyes and looked at her blurred back.

‘Who are you?’ 

He thought before falling back into his deep slumber. After feeding the man a bowl of chicken porridge and antipyretics, she walked out of her space.
