Liu Qinghe had already thought about it this morning and said, "Black Panther Squad. Huo Yanxiao is the team leader and Chen Jiyu is the deputy team leader. This is our ID card."
Huo Yanxiao and Chen Jiyu were stunned when they heard her words. They thought she would at least be a deputy team leader. They never thought she would make them the leader and deputy leader.
After writing their information, the officer said, "To sign up for a team, you need to pay one piece of level two zombie nucleus or supplies.”
“May I ask, what benefit we could get after we register as a team?” Liu Qinghe asked. Depending on the price, they should get some benefits as a team.
“The team will get priority on taking a mission and if there are special missions, the base will first notify the registered team. If no one takes the missions, it will be posted on the mission board. In addition to the point reward for completing the task, the team will also receive additional rewards such as supplies, residence, nucleus, or weapons depending on the missions.”
Indeed, there are lots of benefits as a team. The condition is much better compared to doing it alone. Not to mention those special missions. Usually special missions’ rewards are not small and will make them progress faster.
Taking out the level two zombie nucleus, Liu Qinghe paid the fee. They got another iron plate for their team identity card. “This is the mission list.” The officer said while showing them a booklet.
Opening the booklet, inside were missions with C-level and above. While the one she saw before at the mission board was mostly D-level and below. The difficulty of the mission is from the lowest level of F-level to the highest level of A-level. While S-level and SS-level are the levels for special missions. The higher the mission level, the better the reward, but it also comes with higher risk.
Huo Yanxiao looked at the mission list for a while and said, "Let's do this B-level mission. It can be used as a training for teamwork."
"Okay." Since he was the leader, Liu Qinghe had no other opinion. She asked Huo Yanxiao to be the team leader and Chen Jiyu to be the deputy team leader because she was too lazy to manage the team. She has never been good at managing people, that's why she took language as her major in her previous life. She wants to become a writer. Unfortunately, her major couldn’t help her at all in the apocalypse.
They take the missions to collect supplies. For their current team members, collecting supplies is not a difficult task, and it can be said to be a safe choice.
Now their team is composed of Huo Yanxiao who has shape shifting and metal ability, Chen Jiyu who has wood ability, Chen Jizheng who has wind ability and she who has space ability. Well, if they have an emergency, she can use her own blood to heal her team members.
After taking the mission, they returned to their residence. They need to do some preparation before leaving. Since it was past noon, they decided to go tomorrow morning. The Chen family's room was in the same building as Liu Qinghe, but they are on the fifth floor.
Since they haven’t done any mission yet, Liu Qinghe gave them some food, mineral water, daily necessities, clothes and other supplies.
"Miss Liu, this is not necessary. We will find a way." Mrs. Chen said embarrassedly.
"Aunt Chen, take it. After earning some points, you can return it to me." Liu Qinghe said, and put the supplies in their room.
“Thank you, Miss Liu. I will pay you back for sure.” Chen Jiyu said.
“Since we are a team now, I feel awkward to hear you call me Miss Liu. Just call me Qinghe.”
“Alright then, Qinghe.” Chen Jiyu said with a smile.

"Then see you tomorrow morning at seven."
After Liu Qinghe said this, she went back to her room. In the room, Huo Yanxiao was checking the map of City D. He frowned, circling somewhere with his pen. Sitting next to him, she asked, "What's wrong? You look troubled."
“The nearest area to get the supplies is here, here, and here. Most of the other areas have been cleaned up by other people. So, we need to go further.” He said while tapping on the map.
Looking at the places he pointed, she said, "The three places are shopping malls, hotels and hospitals. Our task is to collect foods and drinks, so isn't a mall the best option?"
"Yes, but the mall is in a densely populated area, so it's a higher risk compared to the other two areas. While the hospital is usually crowded with patients, it's also a high-risk area. So, our best bet is actually this hotel." He said.
"Then, let's go there tomorrow."
"However, City D is famous for its tourism. I'm afraid this hotel is not low risk." He said with a frown.
"Okay, don't think too much. If the risk is too high, we can leave and find another place. Although the supplies at other places are less, we can go to a few places to complete the mission. Remember, high risk, high gain." Liu Qinghe patted his arm and said.
"Hm." He closed the map and massaged his temples. These days, he always felt that something big was about to happen, which made him feel irritable.
"Go get some rest. I'll take Baozi out." She said before going to her space.
In her space, Baozi was squatting by the fish pond, watching the fish swimming around. Hearing footsteps behind him, he turned around and smiled when he saw Liu Qinghe walking towards him. He ran to her side and hugged her leg.
Liu Qinghe crouched in front of him and said, “Did Baozi behave?”
Baozi nodded and gestured with both hands. Seeing him move his little arm vigorously, she chuckled. "Baozi feed the fish? So good! Baozi is the best!" His smile widened when he heard her compliment.
"Tomorrow, I need to go out on a mission. Baozi needs to stay with Uncle and Aunt Chen when I'm not around. Okay?" She asked while patting his head.
Baozi was very depressed when he heard that she was leaving tomorrow. Will she abandon him like his parents? But he always behaved well and did what she asked him to do. Why does she still want to leave him?
"It's only a few days. I'll be back when the mission is done." She said again, trying to reassure him.
Looking at her clear eyes, Baozi finally nodded and agreed. They left the space after tending to the plants and animals.
That night, the weather suddenly turned to worse when it reached midnight. Thunder rolled in the sky. Lightning streaks were clearly visible, illuminating the night like a flashlight.
Crack! Boom!
