Chapter 5: Chapter 4

Liu QingHe vomited for a while before she went limp and slid down to the ground. Hugging her knees, her body kept trembling when she recalled her dream. What the hell is that dream? The scene inside her dream was blurred, the only one clear for her to see is that piece of calendar. Is it some kind of prophecy? 

No, I shouldn’t jump into a conclusion harshly. Maybe it’s because I just came back to life so it left some trauma on me. After calming down her mind, she pushed herself up and went to the sink and washed her face and hands. Rubbing the gooey liquid on her fingers, her hand trembled and her face became paller.

What is this thing? Why is it suddenly on my forehead?

That gooey liquid was dark green with a strong rotten stench on it. When she touched the liquid, it felt like rotten flesh or even rotten brain matter. Taking a deep breath, she hoped it was just a normal dream. There is no way that she was reborn into the apocalypse world right? God won’t be that cruel to her.

Liu QingHe went to shower since the rotten stench was too strong and couldn’t be washed off. Sat on her bed after finished with her shower, she scrolled through her phone and sent a message to Yang LiHua.

[LiHua, are you coming for tomorrow’s class? I want to give you something.]

Ding! Not long after she sent her message, she received a reply from Yang LiHua.

[Yeah, I skipped too much for that subject, if I skip again, my mom will skin me alive if I need to retake the subject. What do you want to give me, QingHe?]

[Ah, it’s the money for the hospital bill. The nurse told me that you already covered it up for me when I went to discharge. Thank you, LiHua.]

[It’s a small matter. You don’t need to return it to me. Without you, I don’t know how much longer for the rescue team to find me. We are the last one they found. Thank you, QingHe. *cute cute*]

She chuckled when she read Yang LiHua’s message. 

[Thank you then. I invite you for a meal next time. See you tomorrow.]

[You better not lie to me. *excited gif* I want to eat hotpot near our school tomorrow, thank you in advance QingHe! See you tomorrow! *kiss kiss*]

Liu QingHe closed her phone and took her wallet before going out to buy groceries. Now it is still afternoon and there is still time for her to go out before dinner. Walking on the street, she looked at her surroundings and saw a thick fog covering the air. The pollution was too severe, worse than her previous world by ten folds. If this continues, maybe this world will really face the apocalypse. 

She sighed when her mood turned gloomy. After walking for ten minutes, she reached the M mart near her house. It’s a big supermarket that sells almost all things. From daily necessities, food, drink, medicines, until seeds for farming. 

She buys ingredients for her dinner. Then when she walked past the farming section and saw those seeds, a sense of crisis rose from her heart. Not knowing what happened to her, she decided to follow her heart and buy those seeds.

Since she planned to buy it, she is not wasting any more time. Calling for the market’s helper, Liu QingHe ordered five sacks for each type of seeds that were available.

“Miss, are you sure you want to buy this much? One sack of seed could be used to plant up to twenty hectares of land. This sack is not a small one.” The market’s helper asked.

“Yes. I want to buy that much. Maybe I will order more if it’s not enough. Can I pay using alipay or wepay?” Liu QingHe said.

Looking at her for a while, the market’s helper nodded and said, “Sure. We need your address to send these seeds. The item will be delivered on the same day when the payment is complete.”

“Great. Then I go settle the payment now. Thank you for your help.” She said while smiling.

She walked to the counter to finish the payment and wrote down her address for delivery. After buying the seeds, she went back to her house. Strangely enough, she felt her heart more at ease compared to before. The heavy feeling pressing her chest was lessened. 

Liu QingHe went to make a simple dinner for herself while waiting for the market to send her seeds. In the backyard, there is a warehouse that used to store those rarely used tools. It’s perfect to place those seeds there. She could place those seeds in the warehouse later. 

Ding Dong!

Not long after she finished her dinner, her seeds were delivered. When she saw the amount she ordered, she wondered if her warehouse had enough space to store all of it.

“Miss Liu, please sign here.” The delivery man said after unloading the seeds and placing them in the backyard.

“Thank you.” She said while signing the document.

Walking to her backyard, she saw stacks after stacks of big sacks filling her back yard. Rubbing her forehead, she finally knew why greed always brings trouble. Now, where could she keep all these seeds?  Her warehouse won’t be able to keep all of it.

While she was worried about this matter, suddenly she felt a splitting headache and her visions blurred before she closed her eyes trying to endure the pain.
