After that night’s talk, Zhong Yu thought that Chu Chuan was at least a tiny bit interested in the girl from the Foreign Languages department, thus taking the initiative to contact the friend of the girl, arranging a dorm friendship. 

    Of course, he would never admit that he had actually liked the girl’s friend for a long time already. Regarding the rumour that “The school flower of the Foreign Languages department likes Chu Chuan”, we will never know where Zhong Yu heard about it. (t/n: school flower = prettiest girl in the place)

    That night in the KTV room, the school flower generously sat next to Chu Chuan, cheerful and friendly, the kind of girl that would end up being good friends with guys. 

    Chu Chuan was a little surprised, chatting with her a bit about basketball. 

    Jiang Yi sat cross-legged on the sofa and played his game, but his eyes kept glancing towards the school flower. To be honest, it was really hard to hate this kind of girl.

    The school flower had a short girl with almond eyes in their dorm. She quietly sat beside him, tilting her head as she made conversation, “So you like my girl?” (t/n: it says do u like my flower which is basically school flower but without it so it makes more sense this way in my opinion)

    Jiang Yi calmly retracted his gaze, neither nodding nor shaking his head, only watching as the short-haired girl’s lips hooked up. 

    She moved closer and whispered into his ears, “If Chu Chuan wasn’t here, you’d definitely be her type~” 

    Jiang Yi stared in a daze, turning over. 

    The short-haired girl kneeled on the sofa, her head tilted and a cute smile on her face, “Do you want a girlfriend? The kind that’s gone to University, can speak English and draw.” 

    “He doesn’t” A cold voice cut in. Chu Chuan sat in between them, “The person he likes must be tall, learns computer science, doesn’t like eating sweats, can play basketball, games, had good results and must look good.” 

    “Your standards are pretty high huh.” The short-haired girl was shocked. 

    Jiang Yi: ……

    After Chu Chuan left, the school flower looked for Zhong Yu in private, asking, “You sure he likes me? Why do I feel like he likes my roommate more?” 

    Zhong Yu glanced at the Chu Chuan sitting in between Jiang Yi and the short-haired girl, feeling unsure about Chu Chuan’s thoughts. He could only reveal an apologetic expression. 

    Since Chu Chuan and the school flower didn’t hit it off, his love could only wither alone. Everyone packed up and left the room, standing at the KTV entrance to hail a taxi home. 

    A waiter jogged over and shouted, “Who left their phone in the room?” 

    When Zhong Yu, who was closest to him, caught the phone, he accidentally turned it on. Seeing that the lock screen was Chu Chuan’s face, he was confused for a second. Since when did Chu Chuan get the same model as Jiang Yi’s? 

    Then he turned around and called out to Chu Chuan, who was talking to the school flower, “Chu Chuan you—” 

    Forgot… Your… Phone…

    When he saw Chu Chuan turning around with his phone in hand, Zhong Yu’s mind blanked, swallowing his words back down. 

    Chu Chuan swept his eyes past him, “My what?” 

    Zhong Yu: ……

    Jiang Yu walked around Chu Chuan, touching his nose as he laughed awkwardly, “…It’s mine.” 

    Zhong Yu: ……

    The interrupted school flower was persistent, “Chu Chuan you still haven’t told me what kind of you girl you like.” 

    Chu Chuan turned around, replying quickly, “Tall, learns computer science, likes sweet things, doesn’t know how to play basketball, games, hands useless and weak as hell, results are terrible but the looks are fine I guess.” 

    At the same time, Zhong Yu noticed that Jiang Yi’s expression was calm, but his ears were heated. 

    Lin Qiu even asked suspiciously by the side, “Jiang Yi are you hot? Your neck is so warm.” 

    Zhong Yu: ……

    What the fuck is going on with these two??? Fucking rainbows and unicorn??? (t/n: gay = rainbow get it? Hahaha im so funny ikik tqtq)

    After their get together, Jiang Yi lost his phone again. He searched up and down around the dorm twice before he remembered that it probably slipped out of his pocket while he was doing their physical examination on the basketball court. 

    He had hung around the lost and found area for two days but he still couldn’t find it. Jiang Yi no longer hoped and started picking one of the new models that had just come out. 

    Two days later when they were in class, someone came over and returned the phone to Chu Chuan, saying that they saw Chu Chuan’s photo on the screen. 

    Chu Chuan threw the phone at Jiang Yi, who had been skipping class to sleep, after he went back to the dorms, hooking up his lips in a way that was a smile yet wasn’t a smile, “You use my picture at the lock screen, now people who don’t know all think it’s my phone.” 

    Taking advantage of the emptiness of the dorm, Jiang Yi turned the chair over, hugging his waist and giggling, “Isn’t it because everyone knows your face? Look look, the moment the phone’s lost it’s found back.” 

    Chu Chuan pinched his chin and raised it up, a subtle darkness in his eyes, “Using my photo without permission must have a price.” 

    Jiang Yi focused, “What price?” 

    Chu Chuan’s lips curved higher, his low voice revealing a hint of humour, “No changing it in the future.”
