Chapter 4: extra 4

After finding out Chu Chuan moved out of the dorms, Chu Jia Ri’s long suppressed desire once again reignited. He felt that Jiang Yi most likely wouldn’t ruin his plans after he said those things to him. 

    With this in his head, he knocked on Chu Chuan’s new home early in the morning. But when he found Jiang Yi’s sleeping face, he froze. 

    He turned around and rubbed his eyes before turning back again. But Jiang Yi’s annoying face was still there. 

    “…”

    Jiang Yi was also shocked at Chu Jia Ri’s appearance; his sleepiness had vanished in an instant. He brushed his messy hair lazily, leaning against the door frame, “How can you still have the face to come here, Chu Jia Ri?” 

    As if realising something, Chu Jia Ri wanted to knock him away, “Get out of the way, I’m looking for Chu Chuan.” 

    Jiang Yi tilted his body to the side, leaving him a little space, “What are you looking for? He isn’t here. Coming over in the morning to find my boyfriend, you’re lucky I haven’t thrown you out.” 

    “Chuan ge doesn’t like you!” Chu Jia Ri shouted, relaxing when he found two bedrooms in the house, scoffing, “What kind of couple sleeps in separate beds?” 

    “At least we’re living together, unlike you—” Jiang Yi retorted coldly, “You hung the title of boyfriend over your head for 2 months and still couldn’t get him to like you.” 

    “H-how did you know?!” Chu Jia Ri’s face was turning green. 

    Jiang Yi’s lips curved, “Your Chuan ge told me~ It’s been two lifetimes already, but you still couldn’t get him—” He purposely dragged out his words, “The Chuan ge from last life was mine, and he’s still mine in this life.” 

    Chu Jia Ri was bouncing in anger already, “Holy shit Jiang Yi! Stop being so smug already! Chuan ge just wants to try it out with you. Just wait till you get dumped two months later and cry in the bathroom!”

    Jiang Yi watched him lazily, “Chu Jia Ri, you’re already 30, can you stop acting so childish.” 

    “…” 

    “Laozi isn’t 30, I’m only 19! Nineteen! You- You’re the 30 year old trying to take advantage of a 19 year old! Fuck off!” 

    “…” 

    “Do you want to get beaten?” 

    “Old man! You’re an old man 10 years older than Chuan ge!” 

    “……” 

    The two of them fought into a ball on the sofa. 

    They were separated by Chu Chuan, who had just got back from buying breakfast. After he glared at them silently, they quickly sat on the sofa and stopped talking obediently. 

    Chu Chuan looked at Jiang Yi, who had his back straight, and scolded Chu Jia Ri before chasing him away. Chu Jia Ri bit his lips in frustration, stealing Jiang Yi’s breakfast before leaving.

    After the door closed, Chu Chuan kicked Jiang Yi, “What are you staring at? Go wash up.” 

    Seeing that Chu Chuan had no intention of scolding him, Jiang Yi immediately latched onto the corner of his shirt and climbed up, “Chuan ge, he took the breakfast you bought for me, I’m so sad.” 

    “Oh, then buy yourself one?” 

    “…”

    “I want to sleep with you tonight.” 

    “…”

    “Do you know what he said just now? He said we sleep in separate beds so we’ll definitely break up in the future.” 

    “Sleep together then. But keep your hands to yourself and no kissing me.”

    He almost forgot. In his boyfriend’s heart lived in a girl from the olden society that still hasn’t debuted. 

    As they were sleeping together, Jiang Yi tried burrowing into Chu Chuan’s blanket again half a month later. He was smarter this time, making his back facing him, soundlessly proving his credibility when in reality, his eyes were shining in the darkness. 

    He only turned around after hearing long, quiet breaths sounding in his eyes, leaning towards the other. In the next second, the back of his head disappeared and Chu Chuan flipped over, scolding quietly, “Who the hell would believe your promises.” 

    “…”

    “At least let me hold your hand.” He pouted. 

    Chu Chuan seemed too lazy to answer him, closing his eyes instead. Jiang Yi lowered his head in disappointment. Just as he was about to move his hand away, he felt the back of his hand being touched, a warm palm descending soon after.

    The hand’s owner was still pretending to be asleep. Jiang Yi immediately hugged the hand he had reached over, a smile still stuck on his face even after falling asleep. 

    Chu Chuan felt someone pull on the blanket at night and frowned. He opened his eyes briefly and found the person who had been wanting to hug his entire arm to sleep a few hours ago tossing and turning to the edge of the bed, as if he was about to fall. 

    Chu Chuan reached out and held Jiang Yi’s hand, pulling him towards him. Jiang Yi rolled into his embrace easily, his chin against his chest. 

    Chu Chuan watched him sleep, a hand tightly wrapped around his waist, trapping the person within him. His other hand grabbed the blanket and covered both of them. 

    Then, a trace of happiness appeared in his eyes.
