“It hurts, you ghoul.” Yan Qiu’s face was dull and he rushed to take back his hand.
Ji Xinglan seemed to be sure that Yan Qiu liked him, but he had previously given his love a cold shoulder. Now that he needed something so he started to sweet talk and coax him. This type of behavior couldn’t really be blamed on Ji Xinglan’s narcissism, but because the original owner was really crazy about him.
When he flatly refused, he was seen by the other party as playing hard to get. Yan Qiu felt speechless. Very speechless.
Now, he felt the one who had bumped his head should be Ji Xinglan. There were so many other trees, why did he have to hang on to him.
Marriage was out of the question. It was impossible for him to get married in this lifetime.
Ji Xinglan probably felt Yan Qiu’s reluctance and finally let go of his hand, whispering in a hoarse voice, “I respect your opinion, but there’s nothing to discuss. You’re my betrothed and you’ll marry me. Do you understand?”
“I don’t want to.” Yan Qiu interrupted. Even if there were enough people willing to marry Ji Xinglan to circle the earth, he wasn’t one of them.
“That’s enough.” Ji Xinglan smiled and reached out to fiddle with Yan Qiu’s earlobe. He said in a low voice,” Who was it who was bothering my mother to marry me?”
Yan Qiu was shaken and continuously denied, “I’m not, I haven’t, I don’t have a clue.” He stared at Ji Xinglan and pretended to be sincere. “I’ve lost my memory, I’m not the person I used to be.”
Chuckling in reply, Ji Xinglan stared at him with sticky eyes, “Amnesia, okay. I’ll help you remember how this child came to be.”
Yan Qiu was still a pure-hearted little alpha and there was no stopping Ji Xinglan, the old brute, from going down the road. His face burned again. “No, there’s no need.”
“Really?” The guy was relentless.
“I’m fine,” Yan Qiu hurriedly added, fearing that he would try to help him “recall” his memories. “I remember now.”
Ji Xinglan smiled shallowly, “Just remember.”
Being stared at by Ji Xinglan’s sharp eyes made him shiver. He looked down and didn’t dare to lock gazes.
What the fuck was going on?
Yan Qiu coughed lightly, “I’m not saying no to you, but I really don’t want to marry you. I think you’re probably the same. You just want to deal with your mother, right?” It took all his remaining courage to glance at Ji Xinglan. He paused before continuing, “It’s better for both of us not to marry. Right now, I’m pregnant with your baby so I won’t let it go. I can leave now or leave later, send you your child in a few months, whatever you want.”
Either way, he didn’t want to keep the child. Whoever’s baby it was, they could keep it themselves. Despite how Ji Xinglan acted, he wasn’t the type to force him.

Ji Xinglan almost laughed in anger. “You know, I’m an alpha. If I wanted, there would be plenty of ways to bully you and I could even mark you directly. Do you think you’d be able to resist me when you’re in heat? Do you know why I haven’t tried anything?”
“… I don’t know.” Yan Qiu tried to free himself from his grip but failed.
Ji Xinglan grasped him from behind and pressed his wrists together, resting his chin lightly on his shoulder. With a slightly magnetic voice, he whispered in Yan Qiu’s ear, “I’m waiting for you to beg me to mark you.”
When he heard this, Yan Qiu couldn’t help but tremble. He wasn’t sure if he saw correctly, but Ji Xinglan’s eyes were a little red.
Then he heard unexpectedly, “I don’t want you to leave me.”
He went stiff. He didn’t know when or why he “left” Ji Xinglan, but he actually felt the Ji Xinglan who was afraid of being abandoned was a little pitiful.
Unused to this feeling, he pulled away and mumbled vaguely, “I… I’m going to sleep. We’ll talk about it tomorrow.”
Placing his hand on the cold door handle, he looked back at Ji Xinglan. Ji Xinglan remained where he was, gazing at something.
Not knowing what he was looking at, Yan Qiu sighed and closed the door.
In this world, how could there be someone who couldn’t survive without another person’s help?!
……
Ji Xinglan was standing in the middle of the study, looking at the portrait on the wall. He heard the sound of the closing door and Yan Qiu’s footsteps drifting away upstairs.
He sat down on the sofa and pulled out a cigarette, placing it in his mouth.
He remembered the night he met Yan Qiu, the other had bared his fangs and claws the same way he did tonight.
That night, Ji Xinglan had just stepped out of his car when Yan Qiu, reeking of alcohol, suddenly stopped him.

At first, Ji Xinglan thought he was asking for directions, but he heard Yan Qiu say that he wanted to fight with a voice smaller than a mosquito. The white-shirted teenager was beautiful and had a slender waist and long legs. He was thin, a lot thinner than himself, but obviously still going through puberty, and had uttered harsh words like he was going to beat him up. Ji Xinglan felt it was ridiculous.
Nevertheless, on that day Ji Xinglan unexpectedly followed him into an empty alley, his hands in his pockets. There were no streetlights in the alley, only an old dim bulb that could be extinguished at any moment hung from the back of a bar.
The boy seemed to have drunk a lot of wine. His cheeks and ears were red, his eyes moist, lips trembled, and breath unsteady. Looking at his flushed face, Ji Xinglan remained unresponsive to his provocation.
The drunken youth didn’t like that at all, and unzipped his coat, taking it in front of Ji Xinglan. Revealed were his white clavicle and shoulders. Under the influence of alcohol, he was covered in a light pink light, which caused hearts to tremble.
Ji Xinglan’s line of sight moved to the collar bones exposed by his open shirt and swallowed. Yan Qiu’s wet eyes seemed to have noticed, and their eyes met. Ji Xinglan felt his heart tremble without reason.
Then, something unexpected happened. The youth suddenly raised his hand and rudely pushed him against the wall in a kabedon!!!
Ji Xinglan: ……
Ji Xinglan looked at Yan Qiu for no apparent reason. He knew that the boy was no match for him at all and that he had no intention of fighting back, but he could not help but wonder what he was trying to do.
When Yan Qiu suddenly leaned over and kissed him, Ji Xinglan’s mind whirled with confusion and the world seemed to fade away, leaving only a wet, cool feeling on his lips.
It wasn’t until Ji Xinglan discovered the teenager was an alpha, that he frowned.
Is this kid drunk? How could a one-on-one fight between alphas result in a kiss?
He never expected to be taken advantage of by an alpha and was kissed for the first time. He was so stunned, he forgot to push him away. His lips and teeth were full of a sweet citrus flavor.
It was also Yan Qiu’s first time and he was inexperienced with no skills. He just mashed their lips together. But when he retreated, Ji Xinglan suddenly pressed a hand on the back of his head and tilted his head back, pushing them closer together and leaving no gap. Let him taste what a real kiss was.
Yan Qiu couldn’t breathe and nearly suffocated. With reddened eyes, Ji Xinglan reluctantly let him go.
Then he snapped back to reality. He couldn’t believe he was lured into kissing another alpha.
But that guy was obviously a male alpha… why did he have such a soft waist and soft lips?
…….
In the car, Ji Xinglan fastened his seatbelt and glanced at the teenager sleeping soundly under a thin blanket in the back seat. His white cheeks were pink from drinking too much, and his long, slender eyelashes cast a fan-shaped shadow over his eyes. The moist lips that had just been tasted were pink and fresh.
Strange, were the lips of an alpha so soft? Ji Xinglan peered in the rearview mirror again and felt an itch at the bottom of his heart.
Were they really that satisfying? Or was he remembering wrong?
In a strange twist, he unfastened his seatbelt and moved to the back seat. He secretly pulled on the collar of the sleeping youth and pressed his head down to taste him again.
It was really soft and sweet. Still satisfying.
It was said that omegas tasted sweet, soft, and charming. Ji Xinglan had never tasted an omega so he didn’t know, but the person in front of him was delicious.
The boy appeared well asleep, and his shirt shifted, revealing a smooth, muscular waist. Ji Xinglan stretched out a hand to tug the shirt down and, as if possessed, reached out to stroke his cheek.
A moment later, Yan Qiu came to his senses and stared at him in amazement. His eyes were clear and sober.
At the sight of the frightened eyes, Ji Xinglan panicked and tried to explain. As soon as he let go, Yan Qiu opened the car door and fled like a rabbit.
………..
Yan Qiu laid on the big bed and held a giant teddy bear in his arms.
What Ji Xinglan said tonight made him feel uneasy, but what made him more alarmed was the wavering of his own heart. The longer he stayed, the more he got used to it, and it wasn’t until now that he realized that he had the horrible idea of “just making do with it.”
He had already been here for two days and he couldn’t remember Xie Yu’s number, but today was Friday so he should be home. If memory served him right, he was located in the city center an hour’s drive away from Xie Yu’s place. But Yan Qiu had no money for a taxi so he’d have to go on foot.
At midnight, the city was shrouded with darkness. Only the trademark buildings in the center of the city still flashed with lights. Yan Qiu picked up his phone from the bedside several times to check the hour.
12:00 sharp. He estimated that Ji Xinglan had fallen asleep.
Lifting the quilt, he lightly got out of bed and put on his clothes before quietly opening the door. The corridor was dark and eerily silent. Ji Xinglan’s room was next door, and Yan Qiu was afraid to wake him up.
To reduce the sound of his footsteps, Yan Qiu didn’t even wear shoes and stepped barefoot on the wooden floor. Gently closing the door, he crept toward the stairs in the dark. The short distance of ten meters seemed to be as long as several hundred.
When he reached the top of the stairs, he went to take another step when he was suddenly picked up by the collar.
A familiar voice rang in his ears and made him tremble. “It’s so late, where do you want to go?”
