Right now, Moby was glancing at his sheet in excitement. He was putting on his gear while the sheet lay on the table.

Magic: F380
Magic: Torrent - Underneath your calm surface lies a strong and fast-moving stream waiting to rise. When summoned, you are imbued with the power of water, enhancing your abilities and allowing the healing of minor wounds. No chant is required.
Skill: Alchemy - The ancient metaphysical science/mystical art of manipulating and altering matter by using natural energy with your own hands or a transmutation circle. Only one thing can be created from something else of a certain mass. This is the Principle of Equivalent Exchange.
Development Ability: Memory Retention-capable of remembering a variety of information and calling to it.
‘Torrent? So it’s an enhancement type of magic and a healing type too. The only way to test it out is to use it in the dungeon.’
‘Almost done. I wonder what it’ll be like?’ He thought while heading downstairs Bell was already there fully equipped, waiting and matching his excitement, but Moby was calmer and smiling.
“Moby, are you ready?” Bell asked, jittering with excitement.
“Both of you, please be careful and don’t go over your limits if your mind hurts. Stop immediately, okay,” she said, more to Bell than Moby.
Both nodded and left, heading towards the dungeon.
“Are we going with Lilly today?” Bell said.
“... I think so. If not today, then tomorrow,” he said, his mind thinking back, ‘She should’ve left her familiar by now.’
Just as he walked, Bell ran forward waving his hand, “Lilly!”
The pallum jerked, returning the wave with a smile. They gathered and together went into the dungeon. Bell walked further, giving her and Moby time to speak.
“So, did you do it?”
“Mn, I’m no longer affiliated with them... thank you,” she gave a bright smile, which Moby was about to return until he saw purple covered by her hood.
He froze and held her stiff the girl was nervous and dropped her head, “I’m fine,” she said failing to escape her grasp, Moby said nothing and lifted her hood there was no disgust at the purple would on her forehead only rage.
After a deep breath, he pulled out a potion and gave it to her. Seeing her lift her head, he saw more marks of abuse but said nothing. She took it and drank.
“I will not ask questions if you don’t want to open up, but you’re now in our familia and here we take care of each other,” he said and walked ahead.
After feeling alone for so long ostracised, isolated and abused by her own familiar his single act of concern and kindness made her feel warm, ‘thank you,’ she smiled internally feeling the potion take effect most of the beatings she took when she left the familiar were slowly being healed. She just had to take it slow.
Moby walking to Bell balled his fist before sighing and letting go. ‘I’m not one for revenge, but... if we ever come across those people, I’ll break their bones.’

[Dungeon of Babel] [9th floor]
-Shunk!
Moby stabbed the core of a Kobold as Bell sliced the head of a goblin.
“Can I use my magic now?”
“Go for it,” He nodded and stepped back as Bell put his hand forward to the small monster hoard.
“FIRE BOLT!” He roared, a red flame appearing in his hands.
-Swish Boom!
It was greater in his eyes as the flame blasted, burning the monsters in front of it. All there were agape before Bell started jumping. “Haha! I did it. I did magic!”
“Th-that’s amazing, Bell, so powerful too and it doesn’t need a chant,” her eyes were sparkling with admiration. Hell, even Moby felt a bit outshone. That was when he snapped his fingers, repeating the same blast.
“It’s cool, but unlike me, you’ll pass out if you use it too much.”
Bell’s face drained of all emotion blank, “that’s right, you can do it too... No fair, your alchemy is magic without magic!”
“You’re sounding like a sore loser, Bell,” Lily chuckled before turning to Moby, “so what’s your magic?”
Just as Lilly said, monsters appeared in front of them at least fifteen five kobolds, goblins and war shadows.
“Perfect timing,” Moby grinned, cracking his knuckles. This was going to be fun.
He picked up his glaive ready. This would be the only time he would shout his skill. He tightened his grip and roared.

“TORRENT!” He shouted, his voice frightening the monsters. A second went by as he felt his body shift weight.
-Crack -Splash!
The ground erupted as a geyser erupted from beneath him as water surged, climbing over his body and weapon. He held his breath but soon found out it did not affect his breathing.
It covered his whole body in constantly flowing water. If he compared it to something, it would be like Naruto’s chakra mode when he fought Neji, or more accurately Ash greninja when it was surrounded by water.
He felt afloat, weightless and strong as if he was on a constant second wind.
-Kree!
The goblins screeched, charging toward him, but Moby just waited longer than he felt possible. ‘they’re moving slow.’
He bent his legs, feeling the weight of his body kicked off the ground. He immediately appeared beside the goblins and swung his glaive.
They had no time to react as the full-circle attack sliced the five goblins in two. The war shadows were fast enough to keep up with his change and came swinging.
-Bam!
Their fists smashed against their arms as the water aura rippled, but it absorbed the damage. “hehe,” he grinned and moved in close, exchanging blows with the shadows and taking more. He didn’t ignore his defence if the torrent wore off. He’d be in trouble.
He clashed fists and swerved past attacks, each moment of contact causing ripples through his aura, lessening the damage. This went on until he grabbed the last war shadow’s head and slammed it into the ground, exploding it into dust.
Only the kobolds remained when he looked for them. They had surrounded and charged. He stabbed his glaive into the ground and used it to jump above.
-Thud!
‘Hm... I wonder,’ an idea formed, and he snapped his fingers into the water that circled him, focused on one point and formed Icicles around his fist.
“Oh, this is gonna be sweet.”
The Kobold screeched and charged with their weapons. Moby, with a grin, thrust his arms forward as he Icicled a shot from his water fist.
-Shunk, -Shunk -Shunk!
He turned back to his comrades, who were awestruck. He was about to celebrate when a killer headache followed and the water surrounding him burst like a bubble. It wasn’t unbearable, but it caused him to lose focus.
“So this is mind down,” he said reaching in his pouch for a potion that helps recover from the mind down.
“Are you alright?” Bell asked, running over. “Yeah, a headache.”
“That’s called mind down. It’s when your magic has reached its limits. If you want to know, your magic lasted only for at least 3 minutes,” Lilly said to Bell.
“Sigh. If it’s alright with you guys, let’s stay on this floor tomorrow. We can head deeper.”
Both nodded with smiles and got back to hunting on this floor.
...
[Orario Guild]
Moby walked into the guild, yawning. He was alone this time, recalling the big news he had for Bell.
“Eh!? Lilly, you’re joining our familia!?” His eyes grew as he went to hug her, “thank you so much. I promise you won’t regret it!”
The white rabbit looked back at the whale, his eyes sparkling, “please let me go,” Lilly muffled being squeezed by Bell, but she still loved the sentiment.
“I know. You guys go ahead. I’ll exchange our crystal, okay?”
And that was how he ended up in the guild. Looking around, he didn’t spot Eina anywhere. he shrugged, not caring as he walked his eyes wandered before he froze.
Long red hair and golden eyes with red fluffy ears. He knew of her but not much about her. The employee also looked around before meeting his gaze. She tilted her head a moment before walking towards him.
“Can I help you?” She asked.
‘She is talking to you don’t look at her, ears, no not her breasts either, her eyes damn it!’ “Advisor.”
“Huh?”
“I’m looking for an advisor and some help on controlling my magic,” he used the ultimate talk-no-Jutsu It was mostly bullshit but he wouldn’t refuse help, the receptionist scrutinized him, ‘he seems rather young red hair and green eyes.’
“Your name’s Moby, right?” She asked, getting a nod. “You can call me Rose if that’s too much, then Miss Fannett is fine,” she brought him to sit down.
“So you’re looking for a personal advisor... I wouldn’t recommend myself, but I can be a temporary help until I find someone more willing to help you.” Rose took his crystals and went to exchange them for him.
When she came back, she brought a book along. “This book should help you in controlling your mind status to better extend the duration of your ability.”
“Thank you,” he smiled and held the book, “so any tips for a young adventurer?”
She rubbed her chin in thought the small conversation grew longer than expected before it was getting late and both left the conversation for another day.
